Fuel pump, strange noises and CarPlay

I’m updating my Can AM Rykers fuel pump issue as well as what was causing some strange drivetrain noise and some further thoughts on Apple CarPlay . Please do me a favor and watch till the end of it helps with the algorithms . I have been away from my trikes for a while and it’s nice to be riding again just before the weather gets disgustingly hot . More videos on the way .
Please give my fellow RU-vidr a look he has an interesting view on the CarPlay device I’m talking about in my video.

Glad to see you are posting again. Enjoy your videos. Yeah Y-Der has covered the Carpuride and I've looked at that, looked at Zumo, looked at if I want to plug in to the Spyder BRP stuff or just stay with my Cardo and phone... so many options and not super happy with any of them! First world problems...

“First world problems” awesome point of view lol. As I said in my vid I would love Garmin to put CarPlay in the Zumo. I have gotten away with just the phone and com unit so no need to change at this point. Now CarPlay on the 2024 would be sweet and I wouldn’t scoff at having it.

SI, good to have you back! I have never tested either set up but a lot of people I follow recommend the Garmin Sumo XT. This is something I would be looking into at a later date. I noticed Flag Star in the background and I believe they are a big bank in the US?

Flag star has just popped up recently here. The garmin is a great stand alone unit . These new CarPlay units are good to but they simply mirror your phone that may or may not work for you. Best to do your due diligence and find out what if any you need.

Hopefully the cruise was a good recharge! Happy to have you back making content. Good to hear the 1986 Mazda manual transmission in reverse sound is gone. Thank you for the shout-out! CarPlay is a simpler set of larger buttons that is easier to touch while riding and allows voice functions with the headset. CarPlay is designed to minimize distractions on your phone. I am just a tech geek though 😂 - Liked - Subscribed - yada yada yada...

This was my first cruise and it was worth it. My wife bullied me into it lol. Apparently the belt just needed a little shove and all good. You deserved the shoutout as you inspired that whole section. The funny thing is I can talk to my phone through the headset so I don’t really need to press buttons. I did get a cheap little bar mounted controller for the phone to change tracks and volume and it works well for 20 bucks. Yada yada yada .

@@Y-DER the one thing I would recommend is paying for first class. Yes ships have some sort of variation. Unlimited food and drink the section has their own facilities. It’s a lot less crowded and no riffraff.

@@SIRyker It is hard to imagine that for the cost of a cruise that there would be riffraff, but I know we've both seen stranger things.

@Y-DER well when you have 2,000 people on a ship you will get a few bad apples especially when the drinks get flowing. The probability of running into a bad apple is reduced when you shrink the number down. I only ran into one disagreeable person on my trip luckily. Just remember you stuck on the ship and if your neighbor is banging on the wall you will hear it.

Nice to see u riding , mine is still in storage ... will only get it next monday .. Is to call here this week. I am also looking at F3 but i prefer the 2019, 2020 models ... and I have seen a few with low milage , let get the ryker out and ride a bit first. will see how the new Gps works on the ryker ( new install) Alain & Yellow

I'm not a fan of the huge display. They got alot of backlash for only doing the deal with Apple and not Android as well. I'm wondering if my thoughts from a few years ago are going to be correct. I bet they stop the F3 model line and only have RT's and Rykers.

I don’t know why the would drop the F3 line. It’s like ford vs Lincoln basically the same internally just like all the Spyder line. You can only have a luxury line if you have a base line. I would love to see the old Spyder displays reused in the new rykers.
