In today's video, we look at the menus system for the fujifilm X-T30 mirrorless camera. This is intended for people who are new to photography and fuji cameras. This is a great video and I'll be watching the others too, the Fuji XT30 is my first 'proper' camera and after going through the manual and getting frustrated you've made this easy to understand, so useful and informative. I'm looking forward to trying it out now. :-)

Great video, thank you. I'm not sure which menu option I accidently touch but the SS indicator only shows up in the LCD when I press the shutter button half way.

Great helpful video. One question though. I have my screen view set the way I'd like it set but the RV view is somewhat different. An example is the histogram ... shows on the screen but not in the EV. Any way to make to make the EV view the same as the screen view ? Thanks very much !

Great video ! So much info in short period of time. One question: I bought xt30 with kit lens 18-55mm which felt a bit tighter while zoom in and out comparing to other lens of different dslr cameras. Is it normal? How does the camera auto focuses if it’s too tight for itself to adjust the zoom?

My 18-55 does not feel tight because I bought them used. My 55-200 does feel tight when zooming out and it's perfectly fine. Focusing should not be affected by the zoom mechanic, if you are not having issue with focus, I think it will eventually wear in with use. If you are really worried, I would go to a camera store that sell fuji cameras and have them take a look at it.

Great video! I was wondering what’s the best settings to save battery for photos and video. I saw you touched on that with a couple setting but are there more, of course keeping LCD off will help but what about EVF settings. THANKS FOR YOUR TUTORIALS

I think i cover all of the one i know of. Dont use boost mode, turn of lcd, turn on wifi/bluetooth, IOS on shoot only and use only electronic shutter.

I would always use the 3:2, so i get the maximum quality out of the aps-c sensor... You can crop the pick later...

On the 5th option of “View Modem EYE SENSOR + LCD IMAGE DISPLAY, i do not get image display after shoot image??? Do I have to set something up in menu?

Great video anyone else noticed an issue with the evf on manual setting with on eye sensor mode on? Sometimes if I take my eye away and go back to the evf the brightness drops.

Hi there, and thank you for the video it is very helpful. I set up the camera to detect faces and eyes and it is not tracking them. Also it is in auto focus mode and it is not tracking the objects around or whatever exists if it landscape.. I want to use those features they are very useful. Could you please tell me how to make it work? Thank you in advance.. :)

I am not able to use external flash with my Fuji xt200 in spite of being in mechanical shutter mode. Do I need to check any other setting. Please help me if you can.

Please help. I just got my XT30 and I figure the colors of live view screen doesn’t match with the playback screen. However the colors of live view screen match with the JPGs I took. The colors on the playback screen is kind of wash out. Is this normal or is there a solution? I’m new to Fuji cameras.

I would leave on continuous but if you want to save battery life you can use shooting only which means it will turn on when the shutter is half pressed.

I can't change the IS mode too. The IS mode font color is grey, not white and it is set to off, how to change it?

Hi, Is there anyone that does cheat sheets for XT30? i used to have them for my Nikon... So helpful for a Grani like me that has a short term memory condition... I am happy to pay for them. But they were laminated cards that were for different situations... Settings for portrait, action, landscape, lowlight etc etc. If you or anyone can help! Thank you...

X-T30 have a crop in 120/100fps? Also maybe you know, X-S10 or X-E4 or Z50 have a crop in slow motion?

Most people like the 50-140mm, 56mm, 80mm or 90mm. Those lens have great background separation from the subject.

Excellent. Just one thing that you subconsciously do. Please take this as constructive and not as an insult. Review this video....how many times do you say, “This is just my personal preference”. If you don’t explain a certain function, it is obviously a personal preference. But, I guess some viewers may need to hear it numerous times. All in all super useful video..thanks

X-T30 body has no IS in body (IBIS) so IS option is for lens attached if that lens has IS ... right?

I'm not sure why, i best advice to you is try to reset you camera to factor defaults and see if that fixes your problem

yes, it will be at least another year before the update comes and it will be getting firmware updates. Find a good sale or buy it used and you will be set.
