In todays video, we talk about how to use Aperture Priority with your fujifilm X-T30. This Tutorial is intended for beginners who are just starting to learn photography. #XT30
Fabulous video, I’ve had my XT20 a while now, didn’t really know to much about AP, you are so easy to understand and follow, that you have helped me take a massive step further in understanding more about my camera, thank you, no need for me to go else where, you have explained it all 👌
Thank you for the video. I picked up an xt30 last week with the 15 to 55 kit lens and I'm slowly working my way around on how it works. Each day I learn something new and have to do yet another little tweak. Bidding on a 50 mm f2. Wish me luck 🙂
Brother....🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲u are definitely underrated☹☹☹, like all the talented ppl on youtube, very precise💘💘🎯🎯💯💯, to the point, very helpful.....great content in short time and thats the essence of these platforms, and u r the only person whome i will watch without skipping if u'll make a longer video...but definitely expecting more videos on photography from u...about lighting and all😁😁👍👍...just do a whole tutorial on xt30...i hv it too...😊
Very helpful Wai Lam - Thanks for this. However when in manual mode on the stock lens (18-55) the aperture settings are NOT moving from my front or rear dials, only the lens ring. It’s not working like yours is, what am I missing?
Hi Wai, thanks for a great video! I have a fuji with the lens xf 18-55. Is it any idea to also buy the xc 15-45? My thinking is the small size of the xc and to have it attached to the camera for casual shooting. Do you see any other benefits to own both and do you reccomend to own both?
Do some fugi cameras allow you to set aperture either through the lense dial or through the rear (or front) dial? In such a case does the camera dial override the lense dial setting?
Hi Wai Lam, just got my X-T30 a few days ago. going through setting up procedures. I notice that just the "Back" and "Cancel" options on the bottom of the screen are not responding. touch Screen has been set to ON. advise please?
Can you do a video on what’s the best setup a xt3 for sports indoor/outdoor. I’m not getting good hit rates. This is for high school sports. Thanks brother.
How can I get the Aperture numbers to show on my LCD screen? What are the settings I should use in order for me to see F numbers such as F 2.8 or F8 on my screen when changing it while taking pictures?
Hi! Thanks for your video, i really appreciate your work and your clarity in the exposition. I'm having some trouble using Aperture Priority: when I put my camera in AUTO 1 ISO mood (I put default ISO 160, ISO max 3200 and min shutter speed 1/60) I don't know why my camera continues to shoot with shutter speed lower than 1/60 (for example 1/40 or 1/20 which is definitely too long and my photos appears blurred). If you could help me I would be so grateful.
Hi Wai! Thank you for sharing! I’m new to the xt30 and just got it the other day but I’m having some issues figuring out if I got a defect. I put my camera on aperture priority and tried to control the aperture through turning the lens (Fuji 35mm f1.4). But nothing happened on the screen when I changed it. Is that a defect on the camera body or the lens or both? or did I accidentally press something I wasn’t suppose to? I would appreciate any help I can get. Thank you!
Hi, great videos! They help a lot. I have the xt30 and the 18-55 kitlens. My frontdial does not have the function to switch to aperture. It only changes the iso and exposure if that is set to C. I have shutterdial to A and the aperture switched to manual. If i press the front dial, it wont switch to aperture. I have watched your ideo about the menu setting. Everything is set the same. What am I missing?
For a lens like the 18-55mm, you need to do something different. First set the lens to A (Auto), not manual. Then go to Menu > Set Up (Wrench icon) > Button/Dial Setting > Aperture Ring Setting (A) > COMMAND. Now you will be able to change aperture with the dail
I really want to use aperture priority mode but the thing is that every picture I take it’s too much overexposed and I don’t really enjoy it than. I don’t got also a solution for that by now
Hi Wai, would you recommend the 23mm f2 over the 18-55 kit lens for videos? I have the XT30 body only and don't know which one I should get as a first lens, I'm more into videos than stills
I would recommend the 18-55 because it more versatile. You can treat it like a prime lens when using it at 18mm F2.8. Or you can go to F4 and use it like a 18-55 F4 constant aperture. And the OIS is super useful for low light situations and hand held video shooting.
Wai Lam Thanks alot. Do you think there is a difference in sharpness for photos , giving that primes usually have better image quality then zoom lenses
hi..can u help me? i just bought viltrox 85mm, unfortunately the lens does'nt have aperture ring. So how i can change the apeture? currently i just use that len on my xt1..
Hi! I’m having the same problem. I’ve tried in s/cl/ch or even in single or continuous focus. The camera just seems to ignore the minimum shutter speed setting
