This lens is heavy AF but the quality is awesome AF. Using this on my Z50 and it’s been an absolute joy to use. Cracking images it produces. Tempted to get rid of my 17-55 for the 18-35.
I owned this lens for the better part of a year. Was such a shame the focus breathing (notice no focus racking in this review) and lack of IS. I found it unusable. Its also a MASSIVE lens. extremely heavy and on smaller bodies or lens adapters its kinda sketchy. I sold it and picked up the 50mm art prime used and then later the 70-200 and this covers my needs. If you plan to use the 50-100 ONLY for locked of shots with no focus pulling then its great! but if you are going to use it how Zach did in the video, your mileage may vary. My experience was not anywhere near this good. Great review Zach, you convinced me to pick up the XT4! really loving it so far. Cheers.
really nice video man !! love the content you produce for us, it's different from other creators, refreshing content ! I was wondering, after watching some of your videos, what the canon 10-18 looks like on the xt3/xt4 to vlog... It's only f4.5 at the wide end but I think it has really good IS (James Matthews vlogged with it on the bmpcc6k and it looks really stable !), and the AF motors are silent ^^ I actually own an xt3 and am looking for a nice ultra wide angle lens with EF mount to vlog with, as I plan to get the fringer adapter. The tokina 11-16 looks almost perfect but the AF motors are sooo loud, and it doesn't have IS, while the canon 10-18 is much smaller, quieter but not a lof of bokeh ^^ What do you think ? ;)
@@ZachMayfield A tokina 11-16 and 4 Prograde v60 128gb cards. I bought the cheaper lexar v60s and they're not reliable when shooting either vfr or all-i.
