NOTE ABOUT DIGITAL TELECONVERTER: Regarding the issue discussed in the video, the Digital Teleconverter function had been assigned to the camera's front lens control ring. I kept accidentally enabling it but not realizing it. So, once I removed the Digital Teleconverter custom assignment choice from the control ring (I assigned 'Standard' instead), the problem went away.
Having had an x100f for a few year’s alongside my xt3 I decided to preorder the VI, sadly Fuji only supply this camera (like the V) to social media influencers and not loyal customers, as such I purchased a 23mm f2 and stuck it on my xt3, might just he saved myself £1600. Very disillusioned with Fuji, imagine a new iPhone that you couldn’t buy
Hi Chris , I’m a 22 yr old uni student who just got my first fujifilm camera. I don’t usually comment on videos, but I do truly want to say thank you for what you do in helping newbies like me get into photography, I’ve personally learnt a lot from your channel. Cheers :)
The feature with the simplifying the View Mode Setting is priceless. Thank you so much for that. Esp. the X-T5 is perfect for the 2 way use of the view finder button.
A large batch of X100VI is arriving at the stores in May and June. The supply would catch up to the demand by the end of this year. The price of second-hand X100Vi will drop.
Yep. For me, Reason #42957 to always shoot RAW in addition to JPEG. This actually happened when I initially tested the X100VI and the RAW versions saved a full reshoot.
Chirs I legit did the Digi Tele Conveter this yesterday and was hella frustrated and was about to factory reset the X100VI. Before I did that I was gonna DM you and will capping the Lens I actually rolled it back to off and had to laugh at myself for like 5 mins onhow silly that was. For the life of my I could figure why I was stuck on M quality. Mahalo for these and happy I didn't embarrass myself asking a silly question 🤙🏽
Aw man DM me anytime if you are approaching factory reset. Besides, I have some Ecamm issues I'd love to get your take on that. Yeah, Fuji needs a 'DEFAULT SETTING CAUTION EXPERT' to make sure anything default setting (like, 'Shoot without SD card = ON') are not set to the wrong one by default!
Customizing the VIEW MODE settings is the one for me! I have been wanting to do this for sooooo long but never knew it was there. Cycling through all these menu options has always been a pain to do. Thank you so much!!!
I assigned a fn-button for my view mode. I thought a great tip here, but after applying it it doesn't work with my fn-button. I still have to press multi times, allthough I only activated 2
Hey ! I just try to write here, cuz have no idea what to doing with this issue……. I really appreciate, love and respect every single video pal2tech has done ☑️ but my todays shooting made me absolutely Desperate _ I really want to sell all of my Fuji gear ⚙️ and left photography for ever. Well the whole thing is that : the tracking focus on my set gfx100s + gf80 = really bad _ I lost bunch of good pics because of ____hmmmm _ I think I know it by heart all the video on this channel _ but Fuji still worst system in tracking auto focus in my opinion. Anyway, it's a childhood dream of mine that you make a video about tracking autofocus. I know that there are such videos on the channel, but I want a new release for dumb as I am_ Much love pal2tech 💔💔💔💔💔💔
In Indonesia, Fujifilm disabled 5GHz, I can only use 2GHz in the menu. Strange policy in expensive Fuji features that cannot be used to maximize photo transfers through the app quickly. Is there any way to change it? Maybe it was in the regional settings when resetting

Manual flash is fine, but I prefer to dial in negative flash exposure compensation (usually between -1 and -2) and use TTL flash. Then I just trigger flash on or off using the Q menu and don't generally worry about adjusting the power. Neither mode is better of course, just a different strategy!
My "Flash Function Setting" on my X100VI is greyed out. Could you or anyone that sees this help me resolve this issue? I've got it set up for Mechanical Shutter and Single Frame, but I cannot activate the flash and it is driving me nuts! Any help would be appreciated!
I also assign the front button on the EVF lever to flash so that I can easily get to that flash menu. It makes it very easy to turn it on and off. I additionally assign the ND to that little button on the top as I often use both together.
I preordered this camera on day one. Finally got it last week and I loved it. I finally got to try out the Nostalgic Neg film simulation and it quickly became my favorite. But it is taking some time to learn the menus and set it up the way I like it so thank you for the tips.
Hey there! I’m so sorry for the delay in seeing this… I get so behind lately in managing my YT account and am trying to get help. But seriously, thank you so much for your kind donation!! This means a lot to me and really helps out the channel!!! You ROCK!!! Thanks again and all the best to you!!!
You did it! I noticed that changing to 5ghz toin the Fuji app improved my transfer speed with my XT5. This appears to be the default on the GFX 100ii. That's why the transfers were so much quicker.
As a long time fuji user, the amount of times I cant do what i want because of some random seemingly unrelated setting drives me crazy. Smart subject detection diables photometry. The little mini EVF won't pop up no matter what you do... Its because you're not in single point AF Some can be useful though. I have now set HL to 3 shots per second and use it to toggle clarity on and off, since amy burst deactivates it. One I'm exploring now is the lock mode. A few times I've wondered why i can't access the Q menu... I've locked the camera by mistake. Never understood why anyone would only want to lock that. Turns out you can set up exactly what locking the camera actually locks. So now I've got a full on hand it to a non-photographer lock mode (basically almost everything is locked!)
What is the best way to hand off the camera to someone that doesn’t know how to half press the shutter to focus? When I want someone else to take a picture with me in it the focus is almost always missed
I never knew the fast format tip. Thanks! The flash is only powerful for half-body shots at most. With such a small battery, you probably don't want to use the flash frequently.
I enjoy watching your Fujifilm camera videos. Your videos have helped me figure out some of the things I could not do without your help. I appreciate your expert advice. Keep on doing these great videos. Best wishes . 😊
I kept the control ring on for digital zoom. Yep, I bumped it a lot but appreciated having it at my fingertips. The ability to turn things on and off using the LCD panel gestures is also handy.
My Fuji should ship in the next couple weeks. It’s been brutal for me to ether sell it or keep it😅. RU-vid is killing me with Fuji videos that make me want to keep it.
Thank Pal, it was very useful. I think by mistake I did something in menu and by rear wheel when I rotate to set shutter speed, it’s changing 1-number based!for example instead of 60, 80, 100, 125, 160, etc. it’s changing 60, 61, 62, 63, ….! Please advise.

Great tips! I just got my first Fujifilm camera and it's the 100VI. I don't know if it's a norm but it seems to be getting hot pretty fast and I'm only on just tinkering with the menus. Is this normal or do I have a faulty camera? I'm so used to my Olympus 4/3rd and never experienced heating issues so I'm just worried.
