Thanks so much. So many features were discussed that my installer never shared! This was more useful than the manual.

Your welcome, This was the point of the video. We go over this same speech with every install and made a video for people to be able to hear it again afterwards.

I came here for a comprehensive explanation of the dry feature. How to use it. What the number displayed on the remote means while in dry mode, and what exactly happens functionally. You touched on it a little bit.
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers 17 дней назад
Maybe I will do a video on that function in the future. I can tell you now that the Dry function will dehumidify down to a temperature and not a humidity setting since it does not have a humidistat. The Dry function runs the fan and compressor on low stage in an effort to remove humidity, but not cool the room. Hopefully this helps.

Thank you! The mode explanations were not in my directions from the manufacturer. My remote looks different, but your explanations were so helpful!!😊

I'm glad you found it helpful, hopefully you are using a Fujitsu Elite installer so you get the 12 year warranty. Please make sure they register your system.

Thank you so much for making this video. I recently purchased the exact same unit as two mini splits and a floor unit for three separate rooms on the second floor of my house. We have central air but it doesn’t cool the rooms on the second floor very well or at all. Now, the mini splits are working like a charm. And your video is exactly what I needed to help me understand how to maintain and operate it. Thank you again!

That was very helpful. Thanks! Question: if I want to change the direction of the air from left to right, I just move those tabs you mentioned? The instructions look like you do the same as you would for raising the fin up and down, but apparently not. I've had my system for about a month and a half. It's pretty awesome. Thanks, again!

I just got this same unit installed. Is this the part number for the wifi adapter: UTY-TFSXH4? The manual doesn't mention it.

I am not sure, but i think that is right. You can ask your installation company to verify.

I appreciate this info. I couldn't figure out why my unit was running cold air when it was on heat and ajd vice versa, turns out my issue was that i wasnt hearing the beep so ut wasjt recording my change... Even though the remote shows the new status i assogned. I guess the remote is very sensitive about placement?
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers 3 месяца назад
When the remote batteries start to get tired the remote screen will not be as dark and you have to get closer to the unit for it to get the signal. Just change the batteries and it should solve your problems.

Thanks for the run down on the remote settings. Would appreciate a run through on the timer settings, the book that came with it is terrible instructions.
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers 6 месяцев назад
Almost none of my customers use the timers, the ones that do get the wifi to use their phone with the timers. So I really do not know how to use them well enough for a video on that. Maybe I will make a video on that someday.

Is there a way to direct the airflow down, just down? My unit blows on me, which I find uncomfortable.

Yes, On your remote there is a button to set the louvers in a certain position.

Hi. Thanks for your vids. How do I get my Fujitsu to run just on fan? I have 3 heads, one compressor. The green light is blinking nonstop on the bedroom head which is the one I want to run just the fan. No air is moving. I have it in fan mode , 4 bars on fan, swing. Thanks for your help.
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers Год назад
Usually a slow blinking green is due to a mismatch of the settings on the other heads. Try turning off all the other heads and see if that fixes it.

Hey guys. I have two of these units and I want them to run on separate remote (A,B). It says in the manual to ask how to do this. My installer wasn’t sure or helpful. Do you know how to change the units so they work on different remote?
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers 5 месяцев назад
Yes, it is possible to address the remotes. I have never needed to do it for any customer so I do not know how to do it exactly off the top of my head. I have seen it in the manuals though. Just make note of what you set each one to so if a remote fails or gets lost you will know how to set the new remote.

I am having an addition adding to the home, my contractor wants to use a Fujitsu 9000 BTU A/C-Heat Pump. Are these usually highly reliable units ?? I thought Mitsubishi, Daikin, Bosch or similar would be best. Thoughts ?? Thanks ...
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers Год назад
Yes, these Fujitsu ductless systems are very reliable. We have installed tons of them and have had good luck with them. If you were to go with any other system, then I would recommend Mitsubishi, which is also a good brand. The Fujitsu systems can out out the most heat at negative 15 degrees, which makes them the most efficient.

Is the lpas good ? Reliable? That’s what I’m getting recommended for apartment but it’s entry level.
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers 6 месяцев назад
Yes, they are great, actually. I know Fujitsu labels them as entry level, but that makes them sound cheap, and they are very good units. We have installed lots of them and they are in my home as well. They work great and are by no means entry level.

I've had three of these units (one system) for about 6 years. Every other year, the system loses freons and needs at least 1 lb to recharge. Is that normal?
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers Год назад
Technically speaking, you shouldn't have to add charge. Especially that often. You may have the older white line sets (not made by Fujitsu) that have a problem with the insulation and leak through the copper. There is also the flare fittings to consider that connect copper to brass. Those have different expansion rates when heated or cooled. I think that may lead to a slight loss in the temperature extremes which would add up over the years.
@Estxella

Mine isn’t turning on when I press the power button is there something I have to do beforehand?
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers Год назад
I would start by checking to see if the circuit breaker in the panel is on. Then, check the disconnect by the outside unit to ensure that it is also on. Then check ypu remote batteries. A dim display can cause your issue. After that, there may be a bad board inside the head unit. It is rare, but I have changed one. The tiny board that receives the signals from the remote fails. It's a cheap part, luckily. I would have a technician verify that's your issue, though.

Why do I have to set my Fujitsu on 76 to keep it around 70 in my house? Home is newer and well insulated. thanks
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers Год назад
There could be many factors in your case. If it is mounted high up on a tall wall, then that would make sense. The units sense the temperature at the top of the wall unit. So if it was high up on a tall wall, then it would see a higher temp where it is, so you would have to tell it to be warmer for where you are. I have also seen dirty filters and charge issues cause this, too.

@JohnBGood-kq3ul
@JohnBGood-kq3ul Год назад
According to the instructions, the "temperature" on the remote is only used as a reference, and not not expected to be actual temperature because the thermostat itself is at the top of the indoor unit.

How do I set the A/C to shut off at night and turn on during the day so I never have to manually turn them on? I can't figure out the timer.
@TrolleyBrothers
@TrolleyBrothers Месяц назад
To be honest I never use the timers on the remote. For me I found it costs less to leave it on all the time to the same temp, but that is just my home, yours may be different. The easiest way to set timers is to get the Wi-Fi adapter and do it on your phone.
