I have finally worked it out!! I was telling my parents about your videos (got my teenage daughter to watch one also!) & I said there was something so comforting about them but couldn't put my finger on it.... you & your studio take me back to my childhood! My parents would take us to a very old school at weekends that had become an art centre. Dad would use the dark rooms, mum did live drawing, she also did pottery with me. It was a wonderfully comforting place full of exciting people and different smells. I then went on to take my children there. We all have comforting memories of that place. Thank you for reviving all those memories xx

Oh, Gypsy, I have been away for a while. Been sick, so sick. Yes, I got IT! 5 days in hospital and so thankful to be better and back home! I missed the giveaway, but am so happy for the winners. I too am struggling at this time with my anxiety/depression here in the states with all we have going on (it's quite toxic here). I literally watched your videos with tears in my eyes because I felt like I just connected with you if that makes sense...lol. I too have been waking up in the wee hours of the morning and unable to go back to sleep but I am finding peace in my own version of creative journaling. I am no artist (at all) but I love your channel, instagram and your artwork. I immediately went to your Etsy shop and purchased a card to put in my journal and a cabochon necklace. I just wanted to say thank you for sharing a little bit of your world with us on youtube you are truly beautiful inside and out. I live in a “casita” in Ibiza which is one room plus shower room and I work from home and have two dogs and a wild cat, who moved in at lockdown. I have to put everything away at night but during the day it all opens up like a flower of creativity & “mess.” Playing with the space and storage is one of my favorite pastimes!!! I would get my 'studio' out and use up the whole massive dashboard and then put it all away again afterwards! You are soo right that a woman does need a room just for herself! And a man too!! Well, I think it's difficult to maintain a tidy work space if you are busy creating. My studio becomes cluttered until I can no longer create. Then I tidy up, purge, etc. and start all over again! Your studio doesn't seem messy to me. It has wonderful atmosphere and lighting!

I try so hard to be organized as well but it is not and I really don’t worry about it because what is more important to me is the creating. I do like to have things in such a way that I can find what I need when I m creating. Lol love this studio.
I wish a had some type of creativity...I have none! It’s a bit frustrating, I have nothing to offer to the world! As a nurse I follow orders, and make sure I’m a safe practitioner...that’s about it! Watching you filled my heart with joy...thank you! I needed that! ❤️❤️

Loved the studio tour. I used to have the same peace mobile but I moved abroad 4 years ago and had to get rid of a LOT of things. I kept some of my art supplies and just got some of them back this year. Time to play again. And I was happy to see you have so many interests... my studio is full of many of the same things. Right now I am spread out between my studio in my garage and two rooms in my home, and I’m enjoying it all! Please tell me the name of the art nouveau book! I have a messy work space but working on trying to get through everything so I have better access and use of space. Finding I am loosing stuff in the mess is defintitly a motivation.

Your studio is definitely not a mess!! My studio is very...busy lol ..with lovely things that give me joy !! I tell people when they come in to take a look around because what you see is everything inside my head lol 😂 everyone loves all the bits and bobbles and sentimental things...I've hung, pinned, all my jewelry on a bulletin board as a piece of art...and it's nice to see everything when I'm looking for a special something for a project....all my prisms and glass mobiles hanging in the window make for a rainbow effect in my studio. I love my space 💖 🥰 thank you for the tour of your studio ❤️
Great to watch your studio tour. I am fairly new to your channel and thoroughly enjoying it. No aires and graces, just so down to Earth! After watching I often replay just to hear again your uplifting music whilst I draw or paint away! I now leave all my projects out everywhere thanks to your input. It means instead of staring at blankness because it has all been tidied away, I now reach out and carry on making little changes to all of them! Nice to see James too!

I am digging out tons of my photographs which I will digitize and make a memory film with music I was listening to at the time. I hope to make a few memory videos by Christmas! Bless ya, next time just put a number next to everyone's name on a list then use a random number generator app. It chooses a number for you and saves you a huge amount of work. You can still video yourself doing it. Nobody can say it's fixed as it's an independent app. You are so kind and generous with such a glowing, happy spirit.
As long as I can find most of my supplies when I need them I'm ok with messy. I find a messy or slightly unorganized studio a true sign of a creative person. Thank you for the lovely tour. I love that big window of natural light.

My studio is always, what I call, "artistically" messy. When anyone wants to see it, I clean it up as best I can and they're always disappointed because it doesn't look like a "working" studio. I loved seeing your studio. I'm so glad I found your podcast!
Very inspiring. But I am a bit sad because I hear UK is on total lockdown again and I can envisage you having to gather up equipment to take back to your home studio again. I am sure you will not lose heart and your inspiration will find a way through.

Continue to be authentic...one person’s “mess” is another person’s creative space. Not every studio suits every person, and doesn’t need to. Actually, I was astounded you thought your’s was “messy”. Huh. It looks great to me.
I have a messy but organized work space. It doesn't bother me as long as I can find what I need. I'd rather spend my time getting projects & artwork done than tidying up. I honesty don't care about impressing others & never apologize for it, it's my creative area to get in my artistic zone & I'm proud of it.. disarray & all. However my home space is organized, clean & neat.
Wendy I enjoyed seeing your studio today. Wow what beautiful gifts you gave away in your video. My favorite was the first one. My studio materials are organized , my creative area surfaces look messy because many projects started at same time. I really love the view from my studio
I need a neat space or the visual clutter distracts me. It does get messy but I try to keep a reset clean up routine so it doesn’t get too much for me.
@@theunexpectedgypsy that happens to me too, usually when life gets hectic and my body/mind are tired. Perhaps some rest/restorative care might help 😊 when my space is a mess it is a prompt for me to reflect on what is going on!

I turned a living room /dining room space (20 x18) into a studio, and cannot for the life of me figure out how it gets so messy so fast!... I always seem to be taken by surprise, when one day, I finally look up and see complete chaos!!! I wanted to start small 2 or 3 on 1 classes , but Covid hit Florida pretty hard for awhile, now I have had surgery this past week. So , I’m feeling frustrated at having to stare at it all from my bedroom! ....I do enjoy doing all sorts of mediums-paints, sewing, drawing, leather wood, work, clay, paper and book making jewelry, journaling and even small welding bits and bobs,.....and of course WAY too many projects at once, So I guess I should not be surprised!🥴 ....I tried to stick to only a few types of mediums, but something catches my eye, and off I go. (This is the sort of thing that got me in trouble, in middle school, but as a retired adult, it is rather fun.)... Good luck to you and thank you!

If not, where did you get it? If you did, can i buy one?!? lol i loved when they used to have these pop up shops that placed the feathers in your hair, they were trendy for a while here in the US! I dont care for trends, i just loved them !!! What a great video they seem to go on for hours cant believe they only last 30 mins...it must take you many hours to make them with editing Wendy, you probably arent getting much art work done. My space (tiny spare bedroom) is tidy but the desk I work on is cluttered and piled high with stuff. Congrats to the winners of your comp. Enjoyed the nosy round your "happy place". My "happy place" is a corner of my small, spare bedroom, which I share with storage of campervan stuff and the clothes maiden/ironing etc., but I love my "happy place". I seem to spend as much time organizing my craft stuff and changing things round as I do crafting, but I really do enjoy doing that as I find that too is as therapeutic as creating. Keep up your inspiring videos. Always look forward to the next one xx
discovering your channel was the best thing that happened to me today!! i just love the energy you radiate and feel so inspired to get back into sketching! i used to draw lots and lots of portraits which made me feel a bit drained in the long run and led to my giving up drawing altogether for about a year. luckily, i now feel inspired to sketch again 🧚🏻 i would also like to get into embroidery :) your studio is absolutely breathtaking!! also, i will definitely participate in the next giveaway 🍄 sending you love from germany! thea
Thank you ! xx The light is definitely less in winter and obviously it gets dark sooner. I have a desk lamp with a daylight bulb and do my filming for art classes in the daytime.
I loved this tour! The natural light from the overhead windows makes the whole place so so magical ❤️ I have two desks in the corners of rooms in my home (one in the common room and one in my bedroom). I try to keep them neat but I end up with piles of notebooks and supplies all the time. I really need to invest in some storage/organization things. (I also want to manifest a dedicated studio like another commenter said! That would be a dream)

It is a working area and as such it can get a little cluttered. So knowing I’m not the only one helps. Oh and yes I also love clothes pegs for other things not just pegging out washing to dry 🥰 T x
I have such a tiny space. Not much room for proper storage to easily find things and that intereferes with my creativity. Time for more "garage shelving" and clear totes I think

My workspace is neat but it’s because it’s so tiny it has to be. I would love to have a space like yours. I think I’d be a lot messier if I could spread out. Also I love the idea of a dry workspace and a wet workspace. Goals. I hope I can enter your next giveaway. I love your paintings.
I would love to rent a studio, but rent is way to high in Oslo, Norway. That is a shame that small artists struggle to get a workplace. You deserve a beautiful studio! 🥰

Hi Wendy, I'm a messy creative. I have stuff everywhere and a lot of stuff still packed up in boxes. My living space is tiny, just a small self contained sleepout with a kitchen and an Axolotl named Patricia. I also have a storage unit that has most of my household effects that I am unable to keep here (Boats, Kayaks & Fishing gear and my couch that I am unable to sit on. I always hope that in the near future I will be able to live in a larger space and get everything out of storage. It's been three years now.
Man... You do not know even THE BEGINNING OF what ‘messy’ is really like ! Compared to MY working place, yours is 1000 times neater !!!! 😂😂😂😂😂🦋 James is lovely and he seems the right kind of guy for you IF such a thing exists... I am single AND I LOVE BEING SINGLE !!!
