FlyCore is primarily for designers to build around. Herja is a ready-to-attach backup blaster with remote trigger capability. IMHO there's definitiely is room for both in the hobby. That being said you should totally make a version that has a hand grip for an Uzi-type situation
I like the idea of adding a grip! Gives it more room which maybe can fit a couple more things..give it more powa? 😅 Or even if the grip would just have a storage for another backup battery 🤔
I have a flywheel vulcan(credit to spudrouge), it shoots about 190 fps, and I run it with 50 round belts. My ideal next step for this blaster would be to attach two Herjas(one on each side rail) mags pointing up(like horns), with a single switch activating both. I built this blaster to be as "heavy nerfer" esk as possible, and two herjas with tachis would be the best way to kick up this blaster!
When you say this isn't meant to be a primary blaster, what I hear is I just need two of them wrist mounted as my only blasters for any HvZ I go to in the future.
Herja looks like an awesome companion to a springer primary. With AM and SAM, I wonder if someone with deep pockets would be able to run two on each arm, in addition to a main blaster(s)..... Having the remote trigger attached with an XT-60 'out of the box' is a great idea. Easy to add, remove or change the trigger (longer/shorter cable?) without opening the blaster.
I originally thought of making an over the shoulder mounted blaster. But I might look into using the Herja as part of a Sentry Blaster project. Having a few of these on tripods to protect your LARP camp or building would be awesome
Honestly, I feel like this could be good on a Motoblitz, replacing the air tank shotgun it already has. Reliable semi-auto, and a half Tachi mag dump on a charge. Seems like a good HvZ blaster set up

I've always thought something like this mixed with your Jupiter would be a great addition, with the rival mags capable of going sideways rather than straight down, they'd sit neatly against the side of your blaster rather than sticking down and potentially getting in the way, with some modifications you might even be able to load mega into it for games were mega ammo has special effects. but even still a super fast full auto powerhouse slapped on the side of anything sure seems like a lot of fun
a version with a proper grip (perhaps a detachable grip ?) would be awesome as a sidearm, even if the trigger has to be sacrificed the side buttons are plenty usable in my opinion.

This seems intriguing , but I'm really interested in the Momentum blaster and hope that comes out soon! I'm more of a main blaster kinda guy instead of mountables lol even my mighty mama I probably won't mount but instead maybe wear it around my neck somehow. Maybe with a lanyard hooked up to the priming anchor or something! Anyway...this still seems like a very solid tactical blaster and definitely right up your alley of modularity. I can't wait to see what you guys are up to next!
im a little concerned with how sloppy the full auto seems to be. a dart even gets stuck in the barrel around 4:08. that being said, i really like the deep delve into the design process. OOD is uniquely positioned to be able to produce and document designs like this, and im looking forward to how yall continue to shake up the hobby
That stems from the inability to have pusher motor braking.Without a board, darts sometimes fire out of the flywheels while they are spinning down. However, we've tested this system a lot, and it still seems plenty reliable.
Yea, as Luke pointed out, it's an inability to have pusher motor braking. If you look around the 4:15 mark, you can see that it didn't cause the jam, and the dart was pushed out. In the 3 hours, I ran it in my games, I had one jam in total. Which is better than most of my other blasters. I'm also hoping this gets fixed with a board down the line.
I really like the idea of mounting this to a MIG compact high fps springer like the gecko or zinc. For something like hvz you can have long range shots available for picking off single targets like boomer's or horde leaders, but then the ROF to deal with rushing zombies. And you'd still end up with something that's pretty compact all around.
I would like to mount one to a proton pack fed Jupiter. The most obvious solution is to glue pica-tinny to the side of the Jupiter but maybe OOD has a better idea.
We'll probably get to a product overview on our second channel soon, but we currently have a ton of videos we're planning for right now, and I doubt we'll get to it before Silly releases his AEB (which we'll definitely take a look at).
With a picatinny fore grip probably, although I don't know if one exists. I feel this blaster would be optimal for a lever action, top prime, or t-pull springer.
How many slots of Picatinny does it need to mount? I’m looking to mount it to an angled Picatinny on my prophecy. I was also looking at the tacchi mags and saw they had a +5 extension, but in the description said it raised the capacity to 33.
Is this another worker product? If so any issues with it? I have a hard time trusting any worker products anymore weather if it’s the mags or guns. I went through 2 nightingales under a year from either frying a motor or having 2 bullets getting stuck up there ri freeze everything up. You might want to tell people when using that gun bring their own bullets so they don’t have that issue. Plus the mags after 5 times using them roughly which is a month of usage the springs quit working to feed the gun with bullets. Maybe worker can fix that issue too in the future?

People should really stop naming their blasters things people can’t easily remember how to spell or pronounce. Luke pronounces the blaster a dozen different ways in his release video. How does he expect us to find it memorable when he can’t remember the name either? Ya’ll need a marketing manager.
