Welcome to Day 15 of the New Year Postpartum January Workout Challenge! Today, we are doing a full body postpartum barre workout. I will use a pair of 3lb dumbbells, but feel free to grab cans of beans, filled water bottles, or even do the workout without any weights at all. This workout is also diastasis recti safe.

I wore bright colored leggings and my 9 week old loved watching the leg series from her playmat next to me lol. Thanks for a great series, 20 minutes is the perfect length of time for me to commit to for the month!

Felt the burn even though I did it without weights; this is my first time back in a long time. My twins are 10mo now and I basically sleep sandwiched between them nursing on demand, which means I wake with pretty terrible back pain by morning. Here’s hoping getting some strength back will help

Thank you so much for this beautiful workout! Sadly, this is my second time working out postpartum, because me and my little baby girl was sick for two months, but we are getting better! Thanks for continuing what you do! I’m feeling so much better after only 20 minutes of routine, you’ll never know until you just try!

I enjoyed this but I think if you have a diastasis you need to be cautious about how your core responds to the squatting.

Hi! I’m on my 15 months postpartum can I still do this excercise to tone my body especially my abdomen area? Can I use a waist trainer in doing this excercise?

Hello! I've been doing your Jan. Postpartum calendar. It's great! However I've noticed an increase in leaking. I always do the Dr modifications. Am I over doing it? I have been working for 5 yrs to close my 3 finger gap and strengthen pelvic floor. I'm aty wits end honestly. Any thoughts. Thank you so much for all your hard work and the help you give to so many of us! ❤

Hi Jacki! I’m sorry your leaking has gotten worse. If after 5 years you still have a 3-finger gap and leaking is getting worse I would highly recommend a pelvic floor physical therapist. They can do an internal assessment and treatments that can be life changing when exercises aren’t enough 💞

Thank you so very much! Jess I do have a silly question: thanks to you my dr Is reducing fast and furious. When will I know I can go back to normal abs exercises? Will I ever be able to? Thanks a lot for all!

Not a silly question at all! When you are strong enough to do the exercise without coning. You may be able to do some more challenging ones after a few months. Most you will be able to do by 12 months. There are a few (like double leg drops) that you may choose not to do lifelong) However lots of other great ab exercises out there 💞

Usually clearance is 6-8 weeks after a c-section if no complications 💞 Check with your provider if you aren’t sure. You should not ever feel pain around your incision.

After you have been cleared for exercise it’s safe after c-section. Usually 6-8 weeks if no complications. You should never get any pain around your incision. Congratulations on your baby 💞

It depends on the severity of your prolapse. It’s low impact so if you have a mild prolapse it might be okay, but it’s half standing so if you are looking for all lying down or you feel pressure when you do the exercises then I wouldn’t! recommended this one 💞 I hope you get some relief
