Los Angeles police are chasing a wanted murder suspect in a pickup truck through surface streets at high speeds through the city of Los Angeles. MORE: abc7.la/3KHwXPl
They just showed here on the news that the female driver of the 2nd car tossed her purse containing a puppy out the window during the pursuit. Police recovered the puppy and he wasn't injured. He's now with LA Animal Services.

Imagine how I feel…..I’m from 🇬🇧 & tried to google the details of this vid to find out what happened but so many results popped up I just forgot about it. It seems it’s a daily occurrence at a minimum for u guys 😮
Trooper Byrd from Arkansas State Police would have pitted the first car in 3 minutes, had the suspect processed, eaten dinner, worked out and been home in the time it took for LAPD to end this.
@@valleya6114 I know the guy potentially broke many laws but he was obviously ignorant of the dangers of driving while on the phone. It looks like it's becoming an epidemic. 😆. I hope he learns from this experience and makes changes in his life.
It's incredible the stupidity of murdering someone with the high risk of being caught and spending the rest of your life in a place amongst many of the most violent people on Earth, with nothing but constant noise and all your free choices in life totally gone forever. It's the worse gamble you could ever make in your life, because if you lose, you lose everything. It's so stupid to put yourself in that situation.
These people don’t think of the consequences, they think they are the one who will get away with their crimes, because they think they are so much smarter than what they actually are.
@Your Wife's Boyfriend in person and live two different things. I've never been past KY and I've seen about 4 live stream chases, but obviously not in person.
Right? I'm trying to imagine how that call went. Like, we're the friends convinced it would work like GTA V where you just need to brake visual contact for a minute and you're free to go?
We need the Battlebot announcers. "Let's the car chase, begin! Whoa! Suspect, taking of. Hes got to be careful Kenny, that helicopter is right on his tail. Thats right Chris! One bad move could mean an arrest. Oh my God! He plowed right into that red car, hope you got insurance buddy!!"
Can you imagine being in this situation knowing you're about to spend the rest of your life in prison sharing a bunkbed and a small cell with another man.
The ignorance of criminals never seems to amaze me especially when they run from the police in a vehicle knowing that a massive response will ensue and most likely helicopters, police squad cars, etc will be involved and you simply can't outrun the police especially from up above..
Can you imagine if all the criminals or people that have outstanding warrants on them all at once decided to make burglaries/crimes at the same time!!!! The police just wouldn’t be able to respond. Heck even I may think about holding up my local bank if I knew when & where lol. Just think of walking down the road with a bagful of cash 💷 😁😎without the police immediately on your back. I suppose this is when the 2a rights might come in useful
@@marcs990 lmao that would be the right time to hold up a bank foreal. They make money out of thin air after nixon took away the gold standard. So what’s wrong with robbing banks
@marcs990 False. In the event of a mass crime wave the government would proclaim martial law and deploy the military to quell the violence. And I think it would be considered an uprising vs a crime spree/crime wave. Not trying to be disrespectful but I would encourage you to look it up and it will lay out excatly how powerful the American govt is and what steps it can legally take to stop crime. Its insane.
Carjacking should be considered such a violent crime that the police are allowed to shoot to kill anyone who even looks like they're willing to attempt it.
They need to come up with a mandatory minimum of 5 years for any chase where law enforcement has to pursue over 1 mile! There is just WAY too many of these idiots doing this!
@@TheCentennial4 it's likely he has full coverage and underinsured which will cover it. Nothing more than a hit and run situation. There's insurance for everything.
Was a waste of money and police. They had way to may police following this worthless black murderer. One 50cent bullet could have ended this and saved California the thousands they spent.
The moment he plowed into those cars should be justification for law enforcement to engage with immediate lethal force with no incurring personal liability.
They generally try to catch suspects alive so they can get as full of a story possible. Otherwise it’s not so easy to assure that everyone involved is held accountable. It’s not about not killing the suspect, so much as about being able to close the case knowing for certain, all dangerous people were detained and not just a suspect.
@@lisaapthorp2729 Not to mention that the 2 females in the car at that point could have been carjack victims - cops did not know if they were allies to the driver or victims. Idiots making comments here watch too many movies where indiscriminate mayhem is standard.
@@kikovazquez7277 That's right..two women in the car with him. They ran AWAY like they were quite capable and not incapacitated. Just my opinion, but if they were victims that thug's worst threat would have been the two women in the car with him. They would have been pissed & incapacitated HIM. And frankly yes, if these thugs were met with fierce consequences, they might make better choices. Regardless of collateral damage, the world would be a better place.
@@outlaw4a "regardless of collateral damage" lmao @ another keyboard warrior! Yes who cares if innocent bystanders are killed or if the 2 women were carjack victims? Kill everybody now! maaaaaaaybe ask ?'s later
UM....THAT GM / CHEVY AVALANCHE HELD UP AMAZINGLY..... that was a pretty obvious take-away. And the engines/ trans from that era were bullet proof ... 5.3's ..
31:00 Anyone that thinks that car was jacked is an idiot. • The door was opened to let the girls in. • The criminal did not approach and threaten the driver, just jumped in. If I were an innocent driver I would have jumped out.
CHP and LAPD invented the PIT maneuver and spike strips back in the 90s. They no longer do the PIT due to all of the law suites. This chase involved multiple people, a murder suspect and a loaded weapon in the middle of a densely packed city of 18 million people and by one of the busiest airports in the world. You simply don't have those challenges in Arkansas which is just mostly rural and po dunk.
FYI ....SECOND getaway vehicle >>> 2002 Mazda Tribute ...which is essentially a Ford/Mazda fusion of a vehicle....no pun intended... back when Ford and Mazda were partial partners....
Can you imagine being a criminal and wishing the police would just catch you and get it over with, but they can't seem to figure out how to do it???? How frustrating that would be!
The cops need drones carrying those spike strips to drop a few feet in front of the perp. Some American company is capable of doing this now, and it wouldn't have to be all that expensive either.
Actually I lived in LA for 50 years I had my tow truck rear ended in a chase on 110 freeway in 1984 That was insane I just stopped to hook up a 1976 Buick that got a flat I was on the grass with the owner Then bam Missed the Buick , but hit the truck Drive was killed after being thrown out into the freeway That was a long day - cops - reports - coroner supervisors - witness
All these murder and car chase suspects have been let loose from jail with many felony accounts from LA County. How does Gascon have the balls to say he has been putting away criminals with really bad histories of felony SMFH!!! Then he wants to cry about him getting pushed out of his DA position !
I wish California wasn’t so soft on criminals! This could have been stopped so much earlier if police were allowed to use pit maneuver sooner! Police are now so limited to what they can do!
That is literally every state. Infact some pretty conservative cities have banned police chases all together, which I think is just mental. Also, california has the worst prison overcrowding in the country so I wouldnt call them soft on criminals.
So this being California he should be out on a no cash bail by Monday at noon? His lawyer will be filing a complaint and a lawsuit against the police for endangering his client during the chase on the following Wednesday at the latest. The victims family will be evicted by the end of the month for excessive noise from the gunshot.
I find it funny how the people talking on this video are judging the police for not using more agressive action when the police are always under fire for using agressive action.
Love the aerial on the roof. I put up a huge rotatable one on my new house in 1987, got almost every OTA station in highest quality. And when the changeover to digital happened, the UHF elements is what are used to receive the digital signal. During the 2004 Matt Leinert USC Rose bowl, I did some frame captures that are like 35mm film-good. Each frame was like 7MB. OTA is free and is the best quality. Leinert, the QB scored TD#4 on a 15 yd. pass from his wide receiver! Matt Leinart, 15-yard pass from Mike Williams (Ryan Killeen kick)
the democrats that are incharge of that city will not let the police use the pit maneuver . the defund the police democrats are to blame once again for tying the hands of police and protecting the criminals . the overwhelmingly democrat voting public are to blame . they got what they voted for over there
They were and they were also trying to avoid further casualties. They obviously have procedures to follow in situations like this but that will never satisfy the trigger happy.@@user-vg3yc6gk5f
What the newscaster's commentary is doing is actually helping the driver very much. The commentator is giving all the details the get-away driver needs to do and you know he is listening and watching himself on this news broadcast.
I still think they had 3 people in that second car I don’t know how it was possible to jump in and get in the front and open the passenger door in 5 seconds
All these news anchors on all these chases all say the stupidest most obvious thing. How about during chases you just let us watch on our own and you go to lunch.
