My heart was pounding out of my chest when he passed all those school kids. He easily could have done some unspeakable things. those kids have no idea how insanely lucky they were to come out of that situation ok.
@@McLovin16x29 I mean, we are clearly dealing with someone who makes extremly irrational decisions, for all we know he could have been under the influence of any narcotic. If he's willing to shoot at the police he's clearly unhinged enough to do bodily harm. It's never out of the question.
53:35 Can we all just appreciate the person in this pickup actually driving with their door locked or locking it while seeing this guy trying to open it. Absolute legend.
I find it fascinating that even the guy who fired shots at officers on a populated road during a high speed chase stops to let those kids cross the street.
Glad to see Chris back. Seems he was slightly sick so hope he feels better. But always a pleasure & honor to witness his commentary on a California high-speed chase.
@@help3102 Yeah, seriously. People in other countries look at this and think we're insane. This is an American problem... Where we average 1 mass shooting per day.
@@languid-4535 You just know there was some "cheeky digs" getting put into pick-up boy's ribs whilst all those cops were scrambling around on top of him. Can't fault them 🤜💥😫
The fact there's a very real possibility the final shots were actually a police helicopter sniper, *someone* is getting a raise for their impeccable marksmanship.
If it really was a sniper shot, then no, I doubt they're getting a raise, because the vehicle was still functional, the driver was alive and well, it just made them maybe injured and more frantic, aka more dangerous. 3 shots, zero result, added danger.
Can we give the reporter his flowers and respect for a job well done. Even with technical difficulties he had us on edge and gave us step by step play of all the events as they unfolded. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
It really would be so nice if there was a follow-up channel to show what happens to these people through the legal system once they're caught. That would be the ultimate closures for RU-vid viewers and news viewers and whoever else is watching this to know that in the long run this guy didn't just get away with it and we would like to know what happens to him.
Every case is different. However in California felony evading is unfortunately a mere 6mo. in jail. Depts do track every traffic violation which stack up but usually end up in hundreds of hours in community services since most don't or can't pay the fine. California got fed up with carjackings & decided that's a 25 to life offense. If ever there's actually a kidnapping that's commonly a 9yr sentence per victim. Now unfortunately weapons charges vary if the person's a felon then it's 10yrs mandatory just for having a firearm whether it's used or not. And discharging a weapon within city limits are also separate charges as each city or town varies but as I say if no one is actually injured those charges are usually a slap on the wrist with probations. Each case varies & depends mostly on the subject's background/criminal history. Having said all that "criminal mathematics" is way more complex than Chinese arithmetic with concurrences or continuous sentencing. But simply put he'll by heavily convicted but actually only serve 9-12yrs incarcerated 🙌🏾💯
@@FireCaT- The cop on the right of the screen, you can see him reeling his arm back and forth just blasting with his fist. I’m glad he did it, even if that might technically be police brutality.
@@gokufirespit8418 I mean he shot at police multiple times and engaged in a car chase. They had more than enough reasons to shoot him even if he was on the ground. So no, police using less lethal than what they can is not police brutality.
@noxabellus lol it doesn't matter what crime you committed the police cannot assault you...they can protect themselves and the public. That was illegal and alot of those guys shouldn't be cops
53:37: I was walking about 1 mile away from Western Avenue and 253rd Street at the time the suspect was caught. A police helicopter circled above the scene about 300 feet in the air. Three other helicopters (presumably with news media) were stationary above the scene about 1,000 feet in the air, separated from each other by about half a mile.
"Professionals" have standards. That word used loosely, but a bit glad to see he wasn't a monster that'd plow through the group of kids leaving school. This man opened fire and endangered countless lives, but hesitated when children would've been in obvious direct danger.
I had someone come up to my car window at Safeway parking lot a couple of weeks ago pandering and I was driving a rental car. My car had been recently stolen, found and was being repaired. This guy knocked on my window giving me the roll down motion. I shook my head no and frantically tried to find the door lock. In the meantime he started to reach for me car door handle and pounded on my window. I started the car and immediately backed out of the spot while honking my horn. I didn’t care if I ran the guy’s feet over. I was so scared I was shaking. My own car automatically locks when I start it. The rental didn’t. I started locking it first thing after that. I have my own car back now after 2 months of waiting on parts.
Yes! 🤡 At first I thought he was wearing a kilt b/c of the long checkered shorts (?) or pajama bottoms, and rocking white compression socks. Probably just a different way of dressing in that area. That (-) bagpipes and (+) assault rifle, white goatee, basketball cap…clown.
I mean there was about 11 cops on top of him during the arrest, they had enough force to subdue him without the repeated body shots. Regardless if he "deserved" it or not it was illegal.

@@iamshevanel it’s possible no cops didn’t swarm him because one he didn’t shoot at police. 2 he didn’t run after the truck crashed. Police will detain everyone inside a vehicle until they determine if they had any involvement. If they had no involvement in the situation they will get a statement from him he and will be let go.
I am hoping no one was hurt from the crossfire of his shooting...Fantastic job done by all the officers..Hoping none of the officers were hit as he was firing..I just want to say Thank you for your service..I am sure glad you are out there..Stay safe..
@@jackieraulerson2005 This chase was by far the most dangerous of all I have watched..He was shooting out his window obvious he did not care who was hit..
The one where he shot across the windshield, I think it was likely that he was targeting someone there. Why else would he ask for directions and head _towards_ the city and towards the coast all the time?
The commentator does such a great job 👏👏👏👏 I have watched another one where he was following the car chase and I like his style 😊 Great job to the police as well 👏👏👏👏👏👏
I love how a clueless by-standard not at all involved with anything going on, finds a way to get put in hand cuffs and a ride downtown. Imagine his explanation to his wife and kids; his job...
Gotta love all the people at the end trying to record it to put on TikTok and probably say something like police brutality. I hope that guy got life in prison. I was holding my breath when I saw him at the intersection with all those kids. That could have went horribly if he was any worse of a person.
Are you blind? THAT WASN'T THE SUSPECT GETTING ARRESTED NEAR THE END!!! That bald guy was some random bystander that for whatever reason got arrested. Look again the suspect is wearing the jersey and got tackled and hog tied not the bald guy wearing a plain black shirt. Those were probably his daughters and were just walking with him or something and the cops most likely are arresting this guy unjustifiable. A similar thing happened in another chase where cops arrested and beated up some random bystander except the suspect.
The fact that he decided to shoot and fire at police is crazy and he’s careless and cares only for his self the only serve he did was waiting for those kids at the light
@@gufuzizi7698 they're claiming that one of the puffs of glass shards you can see exiting the vehicle is from a bullet entering the vehicle, with no other evidence than him driving erratic and being bloody after getting jumped by 57 cops at the end. The top comment has a bunch of time stamps with the last one referring to gunfire being the one in question. My theory is he was driving erratic because after firing through the windshield (like he had already done before though no one is claiming those identical glass explosions are from the cops?) he either inhaled glass and/or got it in his eyes. This is commonly known to happen and it's why police are trained to avoid firing through their windshield if at all possible. I will admit the blood on him at the end is highly suspect but firing on him from a helicopter would be a huge policy violation afaik and it's easy to imagine other sources
I love how the first cop dived in to stop the guy from running and then the other officer began punching him. The female cop is trying to grab the guys legs.
The punches were unjustified, they should have taken him down with less force and arrested him, instead they decided to beat on him, classic case of police brutality.

@@rosearellanes5648 Sure. When I need a cop, they are 20+ minutes away, and that's because I'm white. The cops don't even respond to calls in some rough neighborhoods/apartments in my city. But when a cop needs a cop? Wow, suddenly the streets are clogged with dozens of "heroes" from multiple agencies all trying to get in on the arrest and "put their lives on the line" to get a few punches or shots on the criminal. You think cops carry guns for *your* protection? They aren't legally required to protect your life with theirs. Cops mostly exist for government revenue generation. They write tickets, reports and generally lie and abuse their authority to fulfill quotas and cover the misdeeds of their fellow officers.
