What's a really nice colored ball python to go for? I've seen the white & brown ball python & really liked it, but I'm keeping my options open. That blue one you have is gorgeous btw!
Hey great videos. I really want a snake; preferably a ball python, but I don't think I can get past the whole feeding them cute mice/rats part(all my reptilss eat mealworms and crickets) do you have any advice or should I just not get one? Thanks
Some snakes will eat frozen mice so you don't have to watch one die right in front of you. But some snakes are picky and will only eat live ones. You could ask whoever you're buying from to see which they're eating :)
+sterling miller they are like the most docile and cute snakes ever should never have any problems I've never owned one getting a spinner blast in a couple months though I've been and handled them they're super chill snakes
+Adam Smith of all things in the price range, spinner blast lol? they lose thier color pretty severely as adults. if it's what you want, it's what you want, but there are literally a hundred combos in that price range.
+Ken Malarik I'll have to see if I can dig one up. I don't use them anymore. this is an older vid. I use reptile scan now. if I can find an old old one I'll get a picture over.
I know....she is ridiculous...either she is really nice or there is something else goin on. She came from a super pastel to a "normal" The hides came from reptile basics. Thanks!!!
You need an enclosure tank 20 gallon for young 40 for old/ tub- 18 quart young 32 quart adult. You need some bedding such as reptibark or cypress mulch. You need a heat source ceramic heat emitter, heat pad, heat lamp, and connect it to a thermostat and set the temperature at 88-94 on the hot spot. And a good sized hide or two and a water bowl. And if you want a humidity gauge and just mist the cage once in a while if you have a tank. That's about it
Rickard Rakkoon really?? Listen to the beginning of the video...water bowls were soaking in the bathtub being cleaned. Not all snakes require hides but you seem like a definite expert.
ball pythons are meant to be kept in minimalistic cages. they thrive in small spaces to feel secure. an adult would be kept in at most a short 41qt tub or a 20 gallon long, people will say it looks cramped but they do better that way. its a snake that you will rarely see out of its hides if you do everything right.
+Magan Scato well them not having hides seemed off to me, the babies had no hides and the bigger ones had only one, its common knowledge to give them one on the hot and cool side. I wonder why this breeder didnt, considering hides can be made out of about anything
geehoon1985...uselss cheap morphs? When you say things like that it definitely makes you sound like you are in it for the money...is money a part of it? sure...but I would never look at any of my animals and refer to them as cheap or useless.
wow, you just care about the looks and money? if you're going to have an animal! keep it to love how it is, I have 1 normal ball python and 1 pinstripe. I love them. IDC if its normal morph it beautiful.
