FULL Comic-Con Panel | Doctor Who 

I love how expressive Jodie is. Her smile and personality is so infectious. I really cant wait to see her as the 13th doctor.

I'm really getting a Tenant-type spark of energy from her. I think this will potentially be a fabulous take on the Doctor.. as long as the writing is good.

Amazing how David and Matt are always mentioned, but not Peter. Up to date, he's my favourite. I think he is greatly underrated :(

Peter Capaldi has certainly changed since last year

It needs to be said just how amazing you guys are to upload the full panel when many just don't even upload highlights or recaps.

I've officially made it on a video on Doctor Who's channel haha. In all seriousness, thank you for uploading the full panel on here. I am so super excited to seeing Jodie, she's a fantastic actress and any hope I had for her already got amplified seeing her in the trailer :D

To be honest. Every new Doctor since after Chris was hated on before their first episode. Tennant Smit and Capaldi. Each was like. He's to young. He's to old. His hair is to spiky and looked how it turned out. Personally I think Jodi will be a good Doctor. So guys. Please give her a chance.

I don't care what some people have said, I LOVED season 11, and it's refreshing to look back at the buildup to the season (thanks to being over 9 months behind on my watch list) and see the pieces fall into place. I love Jodie, Brad, Mandip, and Tosin. I wasn't sure about Tosin going into the season, but I really liked the way they handled his and Bradley's character arc throughout the season. I also find it amazing that Chibnall and his crew created at least 13 different alien races and planets this year, with every episode except Arachnids and Resolution introducing a new one. I'm looking forward to what season 12 will bring.

I imagine Jodie entering the room to audition and just going "Hello", that kind of doctor-y "hello" and just imediately being THE Doctor

They should do a 5 doctors episode with 9 10 11 12 and 13 in it

I'm so pleased at the way the BBC are handling the run up to Series 11 - no spoilers just teasers! The trailer has made me quite excited to see what we'll get! Although it's a little frustrating to wait until October all the way from Xmas it's given me a chance to shake off the usual regeneration jitters and embrace Jodie - she was electric in Twice Upon a Time. Fingers crossed for the future!

I really wanted a female doctor after Matt's run feel like it would have fit better but still loved Peter as the doctor

I love the joy on that panel, you can feel the happiness and love they have to be creating the show, and the passion they put into it. It truly comes though the screen

In hindsight, you almost get the feeling, when listening to Chibnall's answer @50:43, that he knew he went off in the wrong direction for series 11.

I thought it was so awesome they chose a woman to play the Doctor, and I think Jodie really has done a great job so far. It’s just been hard for me to embrace her 100% because Peter Capaldi was one of my favorite Doctors EVER. Like up there with 2 and 4. So it really wouldn’t have mattered who 13 was, letting 12 go was brutal af. 😭

Oh my god thank you for this video!

One thing I was waiting to hear was the Angle the Doctor would be played from. That was the Love for Life angle. Since Eccleston the Doctor has been going through various stages of Trauma recovery, each regeneration the character was further along, more healed from his Actions as the War Doctor at the end of the Time War. This is important for me as a 44 year old fan I've been watching since I was two, dealing with depression, anxiety and PTSD from a decade of extensive childhood physical, sexual and mental abuse...the Doctor became my favorite hero. Every regeneration has given me something to hold onto that keeps me from hurting myself. A problem I've been facing since kindergarten, and thanks to this show and this character and these companions, I'm Still Here. For the Doctor to have found a New appreciation for life, having come through her own process of healing, to see that...gives me Hope that I can do the Same thing and find my own love for life.

Alas. I do still genuinely believe Jodie is capable of being a good doctor though - I really firmly believe it's the writing holding everything back. The new writing is not engaging, bland, missing continuity, a bit rushed feeling sometimes and I think that's a shame.

So awesome. What a great cast and crew. I can't wait until the adventure begins.

Okay this is a very strange feeling, I am already in love with the thirteenth Doctor. I am so excited for this series to begin!

Extremely helpful for everyone to see the Doctor Who team at a comic con - I think it puts a lot of fans at ease to see them and interact with them as people and look forward to the series with less trepidation now.

Tosin Cole is so down to earth.

Everything big they said: 10 stand-alone stories!!! No 2-parters at all It's another reset season for new people. Like Season 5 and 10 No returning old things Jodie's Doctor is youthful and naive The Cyberman probably are coming back judging by Jodie's screwdriver and the actors responses This might be the first no Dalek series

The Doctor needs to be kind, smart, funny, sad, energetic, impetuous, willful, distractible, disdainful of authority, angry at injustice, fierce in defending the preservation of life and the rights of the underdog, and desperately hungry for friendship. If the 13th Doctor is all of those things, I think the show is going to be fine.
