Thanks for your insight on this barbaric religion! I like your rebuttals, however I do not understand your complete points on Islam because I’m an atheist that left Christianity and I have more of a bone to pick with it.
I find it very funny that when a Muslim wants to convert you to Islam, speaking and understanding Arabic isn’t really necessary but if you start to question Islam, you cannot because you do not speak or understand the Arabic language.🤣🤣🤣

I am very glad to hear this. I am from Iran and the Islamic faith has been shrinking for a while now here. It’s heartwarming to know that it is the same in Afghanistan too! I wish the best for Afghanistan and its people. Afghanistan was one of the most resistant regions to the Islamic conquests. Had it not been for foreign interventions, I was sure that Afghanistan would have slowly rejected Islam. when I heard about the taliban taking over I was so sad about the situation. I think Dr Majid is one of those unfortunate people who have found themselves in a religion and have never bothered to examine it's claims or understand it enough to debate it. He looks like a good,honest, well meaning muslim. AP thanks for coming out and pointing out things that people desperately want to explain away. Its time to face the ugly truth.
It still takes a lot of willpower and comfort to leave the religion even you are proven it's false though. Abdul Majid, I'm sure, in his rational mind has no argument against anything AP brought. He just has to convince himself to reject it, because he depends on islam. It is his livelihood.

He only repeated his own arguments, namely the beaten to death Kalam cosmological argument or the argument from contingency which still only points to a general creator and not particularly to Allah. The fact that Islam lead to social changes in Arabian society is nothing surprising considering that Christianity did the same in Europe and Buddhism did it in East Asia. He resorted to ad himinem attacks on Ridvan's qualifications and fluency in Arabic instead of addressing his actual arguments. Basically, Dr Majid's tactic in this debate was to dodge through weak arguments and ad hominems. Very disappointing!

Muhammad specifically married because he wanted to have sex with a baby girl. According to the Hadiths, Aisha would play with her dolls in the presence of Muhammad because she was too young, nothing turned Muhammad on like a little child playing with dolls. I don't put an age on marriage, marry whenever you want, 1, 10, 20, 50, 100, who cares, what's important is when virginity is lost, a girl or a boy could absolutely DIE from forced intercourse before the age of 10. I’m a Muslim but I don’t understand why they do that either. Even though I’m Muslim, I like to think critically. At the moment, I’m questioning Hadith and it annoys me when Muslims say “according to the bible, a 3 year old got married” I don’t believe that’s true, I think many Muslims are taught to use that argument. Even if it was true, it doesn’t justify Muhammad marrying a 6 year old according to “sahih” narrations.

There are many arguments muslims use against the Bible which they learn from other muslims without reading the whole chapters they are quoting. A very popular one is the verse with the sword. They often already have their learned interpretation which no christian or jew has on it nor had in past history. Just recently i discussed with a muslim on Quora about a specific topic, where he quoted something but refused to read the chapter which wouldn't cost him more than 10 minutes. When i wanted to know and understand islam, it wouldn't come to my mind to read christian books about islam. I went to mosque, i read the quran 7 times. To avoid that i interpret something wrong, i went to tafseer of alTabari or ibn kathir. I read a lot of ahadeeth. And i was careful to not interpret it in any way i want but as it is meant. Because to understand islam, i need to desire to understand islam as it describes itself. When i read christian sources on islam, then i don't learn about islam, but about the christian view on islam. That's a difference many don't understand. Most muslims i know usually learn about christianity by the islamic perspective instead of trying to understand the christian or jewish understanding. I don’t like it when muslims say things like “it was okay that he married a six year old according to hadith because it was a completely different time period and area” because the Quran says that he’s a role model. He’s a role model for Muslims of all time periods, not just the group of Arabs in the 7th century

Second logical fallacy at 18:20 - False/Faulty analogy or false eqivalence: Can a mother create herself? No. Hence the Universe can't create itself. Therefore Allah. Third logical fallacy at 19:04 - Non sequitur or Causal Reductionism: You cannot have two creators because if you did you would have chaos (there was no chaos in Olympus). Fourth logical fallacy at 21:46 - Poisoning the Well: All the books are inferior to the Quran therefore the Quran is correct. Fifth logical fallacy at 22:35 - Argumentum ad populum or Red Herring: Even the non believers accept Mohammed's greatness hence Mohammed was great (which deflects from the relevant question of whether he was a prophet of the truth). Sixth logical fallacy at 32.26 - Argument to Authority or Appeal to Accomplishment or Poisoning the Well: AP is not qualified to argue therefore his questions are invalid. Seventh logical fallacy at 33:17 - False dichotomy: If Islam doesn't hold the truth then what does? If nothing else holds the truth then Islam must be the truth. I also find it quite ridiculous that Dr Majid states that you must know Arabic to understand the Quran. Hence if you don't know Arabic you better forget about converting to Islam as you have no chance of understanding the book of truth. It also begs the question - if the Quran can't be translated, why translate it? From around 40:00 it starts to descend into disorder and it becomes personal. At 60:00 Dr Majid states that we don't have free will (Allah decrees everything) but because you don't know what that decree is you bear the responsibility of your choices. This is an absurd argument. You either have free will and can choose or everything has been decreed (predestined) before your birth. If I do not have the ability to choose why do a bear responsibility of my choices? Dr Majid either doesn't understand the question, has misinterpreted the word "decree" or he is quibbling. Eighth logical fallacy at 1:17:15 (I've skipped many in between but this one is a pearler which all theists use) - ad baculum and appeal to fear: if you don't believe me you will perish in hell. At 1:28:15 Question: "Dr Majid do you think your arguments are circular?" "I'm not here to convince anybody... [but let me answer the previous question on incest which was directed at AP]". Hilarious. By the way, I think AP could have done better with the question on incest (which is an appeal to emotion fallacy - the Romans for example didn't have any problem with it) by asking whether pedophilia is equally reprehensible. Don't throw stones if you live in glass houses. At 1:30:54: Question to Dr Majid - Answer: Christians believe in one God, Hindus, Jews believe in one God etc but what about the 2 billion (a quarter of the wold's population) East Asians, Indigenous peoples of North and South America & Australia & Africa? Yes, Yes, but their best argument in favour of islam is sharia, which will execute anyone who disagrees with it. It seems to work very well in cult majority countries that implement sharia as state law.
Yea Muslim Skeptic is on a whole other level of insanity, defending and promoting things like apostasy laws, sex and marriage with children and jihad. Its strange that a guy who so desperately despises modern western values continues to live in a country like the US instead of moving to Islamic nations like Iran, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan or Afghanistan, in which he could live just as his great prophet did and marry some 6 year old children and stone the non believers and gays.

I can add, with lies civilization and society dies. imho dogmatism and closeness to critical thinking is still the worst aspect of religions. Also the problem of seeking constant validation trying to suppress data and objective reality, to the point of going political because diversity is seen as a threat. That is unacceptable. 6000 years of human history and we have half or the world not only fine to live as 2000 years ago, but forcing the rest with them.

Abdul just answer questions not asked! - a typical tactic when you don’t want to or can’t answer the question, this is also often seen in the political environment.
This idea that a layman is qualified to accept Islam, but only a scholar is qualified to criticize it is, in itself, a layup of a refutation of Islam. The fact that even these “learned” Muslims don’t see that is incredible.
Let's say there's a restaurant in your area you don't know about it but you hear good and as well as bad thing about it but you wanna taste the food yourself and decide, so you go there and taste it and come out, but then ONLY based on your taste whether you hate it or like it you go around telling people they use x ingredients when you have zero knowledge about the ingredients, you didn't even try to research the ingredients or try to ask the chef. I have found any time you question the Quran or other Islamic works the Muslim instantly says: "There is different meanings. There is different translations. There is different spellings. There is different interpretations" Seems to be the number 1 defense for any question against Islam. Secondly, if there is only 1 God then does that mean there is also 1 Goddess? I am half way through. Respect to Dr. Abdul Majid for at least being willing to engage in a public arena. Regrettably all that is shown here is that he is functioning in a different paradigm of intellectual investigation. AP is openly and repeatedly inviting a response to his atheism and how he perceives the unintelligibility of Islam. Dr. Majid is assembling a catalogue of Quranic references that that he feels are relevant that justify his own convictions without actually engaging with the subject.

Allah wanted the “truth” to be revealed to humanity so much that he revealed it only in Arabic. And that “truth” is only “true” in Arabic. If it gets translated, it’s not true anymore.

Watch yt Dr. Hugh Ross, an astrophysicist, and how he, being a scientist, became a Christian just because he saw the evidence of God's creation of the earth in the book of Genesis. Fascinating.

First of all, the Dr. seems like a genuinely nice, good natured, decent person. He never gets aggressive or rude, like we often see when people debate AP, and he doesn't interrupt , and gives AP all the time he wants. It's the same old story when it comes to the subject matter of the debate though. I never see them address what AP is saying. When you say "it's true" without being able to explain why, it doesn't look good for your argument. You actually don't have an argument. It's blind faith. It's always like AP is speaking a different language to his opponents in these debates. I understand his language, but not his opponents. They just don't seem to use logic.
If everything that existed in this universe must be due to some creator, then the question arises, "who creates the creator "? If something like CREATOR can be existed without a creator, than why this universe cannot be existed without any CREATOR????

Six years back i was so much into islam, and was very keen to know about it, especially why it's the only religion giving the best terrorist recruitments all over the world. After going through Quran and other resources all i can conclude is : 1.The islam and it's book and it's actual creater the Muhammad, was very clever as before even knowing the faith the child is made to accept, cram and only believe the fact that there is no god but Allah . The very basic of the faith is a full stop on logic, rational and questioning. It's all about belief. Like nomadic people believed a man who said he is having revelation from angel ( like in present time even if i say this to my parents they'll take me to hospital) . When someone believes they are not left with the choice of questioning or reasoning because if they question they are not believers and they will go to hell. 2. Fear of hell and heaven. Life in islam starts after death (like zombies) , so they have to worry about their pre-booking in heaven, so don't give a fuck about life on earth. Men will have virgin (what best they can have ) , and women will have , who knows (so waiting for surprise). But path to heaven goes through many hell like condition . 3. Muslim don't know what to choose . The moderate or modern or we can say normal human being muslim, think like other human beings, live and let others live , no bloodshed, peace etc etc, so to justify their normal behaviour they quote only selective and sugar coated version of the verses (and i believed them too) but if you see the before and after verses to that "peaceful" verse the table turns . Few muslim practice what suits them and leave the rest . 4. Who is true Muslim. The one we call terrorist or the one who is our lovely friend. The terrorist don't use the words "if" , "but" , "it's according to that situation",. "the context" , "the verse was revealed at that time when" . They believe it in whole, the book is relevant at every time in every condition . But your lovely muslim friend won't protest against them, but will call you out Islamophobic as soon as you ask them questions. .
