She could always say I was “taking it the wrong way” and “but I didn’t say I didn’t like it” or “I’m sorry you misunderstood me”. I love her dearly, and knowing my grandmother, who was a bully physically and mentally, my mother did the best she could. I had years of therapy before I decided to have children to stop the train wreck of parenting that’s run in my family.

this is like the 10th time I've seen this picture of Jo on the show. And the 5th time I've seen the picture of Al's wedding dress. They show them all the time
