my mommy would cut potatoes into wedges & put them all around her meatloaf, they were so good & surprisingly not greasy but absorbed most of the grease...

Hey I'm happy that Paula Deen got fired for food Network because she is a disgrace and if I were married to her I would have divorced her with in about a month

Paula Deen is a disgrace because she doesn't care about anybody but her self and she makes sick to my stomach if food network brings her show back I don't watch it

Such fun pronunciations-- "paparika", etc. Is this strictly a Southern thing? I've also heard Paula say things like "put them in one at the time" instead of "one at a time". Interesting.

My parents grew okra in our garden and one of my my mom's okra dishes was made like this (without the added sugar tho) but in addition to the tomatoes (also from the garden) she'd add a can of whole kernel corn and a pound of hamburger. The dish would be served with made from scratch cornbread. One of my favorite meals from childhood. RIP mom.❤

I wish I had a poodle skirt outfit like yours n them adorable shoes. I love the 50's. My mama n I would always dance to the great 50's music. Great memories. I'm gonna make this for dinner tomorrow. I love okra with meatloaf 💛
