He has an extraordinary defense and he is incredible at counter-attacking, but like GSP in MMA, he is prone to choose low risk tactics. For real. Conor looked out of place and outclassed by Floyd. And me being a ufc fan wanted Conor to win. But as soon as the fight started it was clear why boxers get paid more then mma fighters

@@skorge987987 most of the pro boxers who commented on the fight didn't think that So you're wrong. Most pros never said floyd took it easy. Floyd was just an old man when he fought him. With a set strategy to drag the fight into deeper waters. 7 of those rounds were close.

@@cpilfold420 after watching the fight again I probably used the wrong wording, I wouldnt say take it easy but floyd didnt exactly use his high fight iq and fight perfectly as we're used to, he stood there and traded with cotto a lot more than expected which is probably why the fight was closer that it couldve been

Crawford at age 35 beats mayweather at age 35.

Interesting take. Would you have them both fighting at 154? I would take Floyd in a unanimous decision but Crawford has that awesome awkward power where anything could happen. Would be a war even with Floyd's bad hands

@@GarlandHardincrap. The only reason Floyd was able to run away from opponents and STILL dominate was because of his huge reach advantage. He won’t have that against Bud.

@@Topdonsheikh while you do have a point on Bud’s reach, it’s not Floyd’s fault that his opponents didn’t have longer arms. And he wasn’t running away, he was boxing

yes it was a proper fight....but watch some roy jones, sugar ray leonard, thomas hearns, and if you just want a spectacle watch mayweather vs gatti...round 4 onwards is just poetry...and if you want a boxing class of the highest order...watch muhammed ali vs clevland williams.

1:57 of the 6 round. I like how Mayweather stands back after Cotto lands 2 flush jabs as if to say, "Aight you got me, respect." Just looked cool to me idk why. 😂

I always said this was one of Floyd's most toughest fights of the latter part of his career. I think Floyd knew Cotto's fighting style would be problematic for his own style. I remember watching the build up and noticing he had a lot of nervous energy at the weigh in. He even called a last sparring session at 1am in the morning, the night before the fight. No doubt that Floyd won the fight, but I'm sure he woke up the next morning in agony. His face was also visibly damaged after the fight. A very rare experience for him.

completely agree. one of the few guys that drew that much blood on Floyd. it was after this fight that floyd felt he had to switch to his more defensive-minded father as his trainer
