They land the 2nd blow on Sans and provide Asriel with the memories that ultimately saves them. Yes, the player is at fault for slaughtering monsterkind but at the end of the route it corrupts Chara's mind, who is an impressionable child that's probably had zero contact with anyone for 100 years since they've died. They're just going along with what the player taught them through the genocide route.
48:24 one detail i absolutely love here is that although it's hard to see, the smiley faces Gaster uses turn into neutral then sad ones once they miss and go offscreen. small things like that just make the whole thing so much better, and it was great already!

When I saw "The air crackles with Freedom" I smiled wide, such a little detail like that helps this out a lot. And I love how Asgore and Flowey fight against you too.

we love how sans doesn't have a over complex sprite here, it makes it more believable like it could be in game. never been a fan of the super detailed sans sprites
i love how gaster was desperateley trying to get the human to stop attacking sans at his last wits like messages like *ERROR* or *STOP IT* or *SO COLD*
i know some are complaining about sans being out of character, but personally im in love with the bullet patterns. some people think you can make a good "challenging" fight just by spamming blasters, but this one brings in familiar and unfamiliar mechanics to make something both unique, difficult, and still beatable, like the original sans fight

@@knights4eva981exactly, sans doesn’t power up during his fight, he gets slower (just like how one dialogue line says in the original game) and his attacks become more bones and less blasters because blasters use more energy but apparently the “good” fan games are the ones where sans can take literal gods and probably win
He's not even that out of character since as shown by his willingness to hold on to not kill the human during even a full geno route because of the promise he made to Toriel Theres a reason why he SWORE to stop the human he's making another promise which he tries to never break And after knowing everything the human did it makes sense for him to try and give it's most knowing how many time the monsters have been suffering and how much he wishes for the human to just stop I think maybe laying back on some of the hero-like lines wouldve of been better but he's not far away of the canon sans specially considering other fangames

I love how *craKed_Wolf* originally planned to make the sprite super detailed and all, but then decided "you know what f$ck the super detailed I'm going *Toby-esque style* by *temmie"* But in all seriousness I like it better this way, not only does it look way more authentic but also is kind of a refreshment from all the other sans fan game
It was SO hard to make an Last Breath Game like this? Seriously, it took too long just to have that, not Sans with infinite phases, an ACTUAL fight against Asgore(and Flowey) that wasn't a cutscene, man... Somehow i'm Grateful and pissed off at the same time...
I love how it's done with toby's style but theres something that is an important detail, at least for me, is that sans is the the type of guy who doesn't do nothing about it, he's pesimist (only with himself) and as he said he gave up a pretty long time ago, so it's strange that he said so confident that he's going to give up his last breath, gaster have must said something so convincing to make sans say that, and hey don't get me wrong i love this Masterpiece but if you wanted to do it a little more canonically accurate, that's my advice.
Mabey because this sans doesn't know about the resets or doesn't know of a solution. Sure may because since gaster showed up for the first time, it makes sense for sans to be confident agian because there's now a chance of winning. Even tho he may lose agian sans said "I'm not wasting this opportunity." This give sans a bit of hope.

Why sans recovered hope as soon he saw gaster? What did gaster said? I really dunno and i don't want to think about that too much cuz i know they won't make an entire story explaining gaster and sans past but i have to Say, You really have a point ! Maybe you're right, sans knew gaster's knowledge would help and maybe stop frisk's massacre and then he regained hope.
also, flowey feeling grief after asgore died is completely ooc because he cannot feel any emotions. i honestly dont know why asgore and flowey didnt use all the time they had to get the souls but whatever
@@goofyahh8759 Flowey can feel every emotion except love. Him lacking the ability to feel love is due to monster souls being used to do that, and he doesn’t have one. The memories of feeling love does occasionally seem to act as a backup though.

I love the core motifs in phase 3 since in the original undertale it was confirmed that gaster was the one who made the core so it fits having the cores motifs used for phase 3 since gaster is associated with the core

I adore that this is so fathful to the style of undertale. I might be biased saying this but that Asgore and Flowey fight was way better than the Sans one. shame they didn't use the souls, but whatever.

Basically 90% of FDY fangames, that one ink sans one, the list goes on) And i admit i would really enjoy a fight where flowey and asgore go fully all out and use the souls, cause they both cooler than sans( slight bias because asgore is my favorite characther )
@@RadianceAbsolute No, i mean, canonically impossible. The only way we won agaisn't Flowey in the Neutral Route was the other SOULs betraying him. But i highly doubt the SOULs would betray Flowey or Asgore on a Genocide Route.
Makes you wonder in Phase 2 what would've happened if you kept the pan after he broke the knife. I'm sure realistically you could equip it and then use it. Edit: I guess you would catch him by suprise but It would just skip a phase and thats not fun...
Phase 2 was definitely an improvement, but it kinda ruined it for me at phase 3. It seems like the most known phase, yet it seems like the creator forgot what made it so good. the way that Sans just floats is stupid. If it was my game, I would have saved the flying until the end. Plus, the things that made the og so difficult were the constant screen distortion and screen flipping.

@@wasquash phase 3 here is a better fight gameplay-wise and story wise, but OG phase 3 was just cooler IMO. And no offense to the artist, but "An Enigmatic Encounter" just goes a little harder than "An Interesting Reunion." I will say I love the CORE motifs in the new theme though.
I love how when killing flower, instead of leading you to chara, it just closes the game (aka sent to fake Home Screen, tho I kinda wish for a jumpscare)

I like at this take as you know the orginal last breath flowey and asgore makes it out the surface but this version you fight them and the human is victorious but with a sad scene I also love the detail asgore referee flowey as his son meaning he finally knew flowey was Asriel which caught me off guard

This is by far the best last breath game ever. Cool sprites, cool attacks, pretty balanced and epic themes. It's even better that Asgore and flowey fight aswell! Now imagine if flowey or Asgore before dying took the souls, that wouls be epic.
It woudnt be much of a fight tbh Frisk is doomed LV doesn't make you stronger just makes you more agressive and resentful which the intentions and hate of the attacker is the weakness of monsters thats how they take more damage from higher LV as we see on both floweys fights ( yes Asriel is also flowey) aside from nearly or actually unlimited power he takes the same damage no matter your LV So LV would be useless against him and when he actually took frisk seriusly on his fight he killed them over 30 times in less than 5 seconds without a chance to react It makes sense if Asriel with one soul could kill a whole armed adult human village what would a single mentally damaged child do? Hell without the. Souls rebelling he would just take 1 damage and already overpower frisk's determination by far so he would just need to kill them once to win Asgore is the same story but just way more serius trying to end it quicker
@@danielgonzalez-vm5ljOk so i have mutiple things to say about this comment. 1 - LV does make you stronger, your health going up is proof. 2 - Asriel with 7 Souls still had less control then frisk over the timeline even in hyperdeath, because Frisk still refused, and Asriel himself said that every time Frisk died, they were slipping away from control, and that when they were gone, he would reset everything, so that means Frisk still has more power than Asriel, so they obviously overpower Omega flowey. And since the ONLY reasson Asriel got 7 souls was because the absored the souls of the ENTIRE UNDERGROUND which in genocide are uh... not really 'Alive' anymore, flowey can only become Omega, nothing more (I could explain this point more if you want) 3 - They have Chara with them. And both Frisk and Chara (Or Chara alone if you pick No) LITTERALLY DESTROY THE FABRIC OF THE UNIVERSE. Simple as that. (Once again I could delve deeper on this point) 4 - Ever wonder why other children who fall in the underground don't respawn/come back to life when they die? Simple, they aren't determined. A normal human would die once and that's it, game over. For a example, how many people have you ever seen beat Asgore, Undyne the undying or sans on their first ever attempt? Probably not that many, right? It's because of Determination that you come back, same goes for Chara, who is the literal Narator of Undertale. So now imagine chilling in a village and you see a GOD appear, not much you can do. (Also to add to this point Asriel didn't even kill a human village, it's them who killed him because they thought he killed Chara, lmao)

Undertale Last breath but it feels more like Undertale... i like this take a lot, not just it being about Sans but also gives more attention to Flowey and Asgore, I've wanted to see an Asgore genocide fight for a while, i love that the sprites and sound effects stay faithful to Undertale and Sans is pretty much in character, even having some exact dialogue from the original fight, not making it completely about avenging everyone (mainly papyrus) but that he needs to stop the evil little sh5t messing with the timeline. Anyway really cool take, my only downsides would be make phase 3 a little better and make the fight with Asgore and Flowey longer and more difficult, maybe even get the souls involved, cause Asgore kinda still felt like he was holding back. Hopefully more people see this take on last breath.
I agree a lot with you but instead of having a problem with phase 3 I kind of had a problem with phase 1. Nothing against this new one, but I always liked how the first phase was all of sanses attack just slightly changed to mess with the humans reflexes. I really agree on the change to phase 2 though. Phase 2 was always the weakest of last breath story wise cause it went too fanon. Like the whole "Im going to dunk you way harder than before" line from the original is so cringe. However I love the new one since gives sans the confidence boost but he still acts like sans.
@@IceAlias what would have been cool is after phase 1 instead of Sans taking the hit, he'd have ketchup bottles strapped to his chest and it would absorb the damage just like in little pacifist fight you have with him in Waterfall. Also apparently I'm hearing this game has performance and lag issues. I actually thought this was an official reboot to ULB at first, because the creator of last breath said it's getting a reboot, but it has 2 phases instead of 3 and the game is full length not just new home and corridor. Also yes the first quarter of this game is basically the same as the original Undertale genocide run until you get past a few of Sans's attacks here, pretty Flowey's dialog through new home is the same.

@@D.Z.Shaftyi would've really loved if sans rand away because asgore and flowey saved him and he healed and at the end it's asgore,flowey and sans all possessed by gaster just maybe regular or just sans is possessed and everyone else is normal it's a cool idea to me sad it probably will never happen
@@burritouzumaki. nope.but flowey isn't a monster he is just a flower with determination hense he was able to absorb everyone's soul in the pacifist route and become asriel so yes he would but asgores soul wouldn't do anything that much
just had an idea for a mechanic fragile bones: look like regular bones but with slight cracks in them and can be destroyed by gaster blasters and possibly the soul after one hit
I mean it’s a good game and it does some cool stuff and stays in undertale’s style. But, I don’t like how long phase 2 is, how easy phase 3 is, the jankiness of blue soul, the bonestab moves to the side a few pixels, the bonestab indicator is not clear enough, a few bits aren’t that polished, the gaster blasters are very janky and finally the flowey animations in the under tale section of the game is off and there’s probably more. But other than that it’s a great game and and I really liked some of the details such as sans dropping the bones when he slams in the second phase.
I think that phase 2 is the hardest because it's the only time that Sans use his right hand to fight, in original Undertale, i never see Sans use his right hand even of doing everything
Can’t believe Asgore never even tried to use the six souls even when undyne thought he was going to.. yes he would turn into a disgusting beast, but he are also going against an even more disgusting beast.
Love the changes on “Mystery man’s” atacks, literally atacking you with the files… atacks used by the amalgamates and planes (aka matpat’s worst fear[that we know of])
Damn this was good. Keeping it to the original art style, all the little effects in phases 2 and 3 (the extra bones falling and reappearing, the faces changing…), plus an actual father-son teamup Really an incredible game, just… I wished it went on longer. There was so much potential in the end, it really felt like there would be one more big trick like Flowey sacrificing himself for Asgore or vice versa so the other could get the SOULs In Omega Flowey, it would be more about destroying the SOULs I imagine, with more difficult patterns and such. With Asgore, though..? Dunno, really interesting if it would’ve happened though. Ah well. Here’s hoping we get more games from this creator, or at least an expansion on this!
I liked phase 1 with it like in toby's style but i loved Phase 2 It was that feeling that you know you might die or threat Phase 3 not so much i prefer the OG LB Phase 3. I also liked the Asgore & Flowey Fight and the fact that Asgore was determined to avenge his people his kind and also the fact that Flowey said dad to Asgore when he died was kinda sad but on a good note 10/10

One complaint I heard from this fangame is the lack of an item refill in the 2nd phase AND a checkpoint. Meaning you gotta do phase 1 all over again if you die. Other than that, it's a pretty nice fangame.
I love this, there's no determination hijinx or reason why sans survives the first hit. He just heals. Like bruh, find it funny how he pulled a shattered ketchup bottle out of his pocket to mock the theory that sans had a ketchup bottle in there lmfao. 💀goodjob man!
I realized when you shake the screen during the extra when asgore and flowey are shown you can see the scared flowey shake in fear that to me is a very cool details to show floweys fear after asgore dies
