Agreed, I also interpreted it like too. Tho I also think Nakiso made it so you can interpret it both ways on purpose! Like "I don't want to be seen, because I'm scared I won't be understood" and "but how will I be truly understood without showing myself as I am?" are both thoughts Mizuki has throughout their story arc. also kinda applies to visibility in general outside the prsk context too... like you don't want to expose yourself to people who won't make an effort to understand, but at the same time without visibility (ie letting others know ppl like you even exist) it's difficult to reach understanding

@@Atlas_Invictus Another option i see is this: Her inner demons are the "Just go away" and her true feelings are "Stay with me", but since her inner demons are repeated more times, it is like they are trying to muffle what Mizuki really wants and since the "Stay with me" comes at the very end of that part, the damage has already been done. That is one of my interpretations anyways.

nakiso is the best at creating such a feeling of dread and anxiety through their music. i'm so glad they were asked to make a song for this event specifically, it captures mizuki's mental state perfectly

The gomen gets me not only because it’s an incredibly sad line that sounds like it was delivered while on the verge of tears, but because it almost doesn’t even sound like it’s being sung. It sounds almost spoken as if everything had to stop for a moment just to say this apology… oh my heart is broken for Mizuki.

I pointed out that it might be symbolism that Mizuki lost all hope for the world, and she feels as if she‘ll get shunned by everyone. Hence why the card is dark 😭
I think it's supposed to contrast also with her IDSmile card. Back then, she could retreat in her own pink world and camouflage away from the gaze of others. Now that the truth has been revealed (or, as it's used in this song's lyrics, "the flower has bloomed"), even if she runs away, all that is left is that colorless dark corner: she can't keep pretending anymore but she just wants to hide away from the eyes of everyone, she doesn't want to see the looks on their faces (and that's what I supposed the blindfold represents) so she decides to remain in the dark, as further as possible to the light (because there is where everyone is at).

I've noticed that Mizuki's lines are suicidal sounding, like, "im breaking down, im sorry" "everyone just dissapear" and then "stay with me" "i'll just stop breathing" "i can't go back to being a bud again" "i've had enough" all those lines break my heart, it sounds like she just wants to die, and sounds so depressed

As if the melody and bgm wasn't eerie and red flag enough, the lyrics hits you in the gut with how Mizuki has always felt with the people around them and with their preference. And to top it all off, while everyone's card is bright, theirs is dark while covering their own eyes as if they're shutting themselves out of the real world
The instrumental gives me the feeling of both intentionally tiptoeing and stumbling on your tiptoes trying to avoid a subject, like you don’t want to hurt someone, but you want to be kind and natural about it as well. But then you add the deeper-sounding percussion and horns in the first chorus, which gives off the feeling of misstepping somewhere you shouldn’t have or unintentionally hurting someone. But the lighter percussion and instrumentals are still there - you’ve messed up, but are still trying to tiptoe around the discomfort. In the “just disappear” instrumental, the percussion sounds balanced, almost like you’re standing in place trying to figure out your best move. Then in the final chorus, it starts light and gingerly, like the tiptoes, but as the key uncomfortably changes to a lower note, the percussion becomes more intense. As you tiptoe, you suddenly stumble and fall on something you shouldn’t have and accidentally ripped the band-aid open, causing that person excruciating pain. At that point, you’re not even bothering to tiptoe around it anymore because it’s already out there. You try to run to help alleviate the pain, but they’re not letting you near them. But then you try to tiptoe again, trying to show that they’re willing to help, but they still shut you out. And as they run, we come to the final instrumental, where the tiptoeing percussions are drowned out by strong drums, almost sounding like gunshots. Because they’re shooting down every chance you have of trying the help them because they don’t want your help or pity or anything. They just wanted to be accepted as a normal person. No tiptoes. No running to save them from their pain. Just a normal friend. And now they’ve lost their faith in you doing just that. There’s no point in being a friend to someone who treats you like a porcelain doll or a worthless outcast. As the instrumental ends, we get one final listen to the tiptoeing sounds. A reminder and a realization of what you’ve done. To them, those tiptoes were like pins and needles poking through their skin. And when you stumbled, those pins and needles began to stab harder until you regained your balance. When you ran, the pins and needles are flat, causing no pain as you ran to try to help them. But they still shut you out because your tiptoeing caused them pain. And with the final beat, you stop trying to reach them, leaving you alone with thoughts of “What have I done?” and “Why can’t they come back?” and “When can I apologize to them?”, knowing that you can’t do that anytime soon. So you sit alone and cry and sob in silence wishing that you could’ve done something different. …I’m looking way too deep into this. But I don’t care. I care about these feelings way too much to stop. ❤️🩹

i feel like the song's lyrics this time are pretty straightforward and raw, like an's "gekokujou." it's like mizuki has reached her limit and gone breaking down in pain, even the grammar structure in the lyrics seems fairly easy to understand (for me, that is).

one thing i noticed is that all the other niigo members cards have very bright lighting, perhaps showing that they're recovering, however mizuki is in complete darkness. kanade is recovering because mafuyu is recovering. ena is doing okay. mizuki is isolating herself from everyone, even vocaloids because even kaito is in brightness. its so mizuover.
