I wasn't an 80s kid, but rather a 2010s kid and I personally think Zelda 1 is one of the most inspiring games that I have ever played especially taking into account how open the game is in a time in which arcade games were the standard. There are many ways in which I think this game excels over BotW even, its modern-day counterpart, as although both are open, I feel as if Zelda 1 has more structure and better rewards you for its exploration. I hope that one day another game like Zelda 1 can come out and truly build upon its foundations!
@gamenerdlegacy

Well said. Zelda 1 is so impressive for the time it was made. There are a few NES games that took inspiration from it like Willow. Also modern games like Tunic and Oceanhorn also are heavily inspired by it

I still have never sold my Famicom disk copy kiosk I bought at an auction in Okinawa in 1994. The best part about it is on the back it has a property of Nintendo security sticker on the back that says serviced by g. Yokoi 1993/11 passed. I pray the sticker helps me retired someday

Oh wow! That's so cool you have a kiosk! Neat to know about the sticker. RIP Yokoi. I hope that does help you retire one day. It has to be worth a lot

Great job. You're wrong about a few things though. The tritone is not present in the Jaws theme. It's a half step (E, F). In the Halloween theme, it's a perfect fourth (C# F#). But you're right for the Zelda theme, it is a tritone. (C, G#)

Oh really? In my research I thought I read Jaws and Halloween has a Tritone. I'm not a music expert tho so my bad. Thanks for letting me know 👍
