Thank you so much for the information you provided in this video! I have been a casual Hermès customer over the past year and a half, and didn’t really know how to navigate requesting a bag now that I feel like I’m ready for one. You definitely reaffirmed a lot of the observations I’ve made in my shopping experiences. Fortunately I was introduced to my SA from a family friend who has a very extensive Hermès collection, so I kinda bypassed that step of finding someone to guide me on my journey. The only thing I’ve felt strange about is I’ve requested for a Calvi several times now and I keep getting shut down completely or get recommended to just order one online. But I must be doing something right because I’m getting sent those issues of Le Monde d’Hermès.

I’m surprised to hear you’re having trouble putting IN a request for a Calvi, that’s not a great response from your SA, you might say to them that you’re more comfortable requesting in-store because you have specifications about the leather and color that online may never produce! But definitely don’t let your wishes be bullied out of you! Remember keep it classy but also don’t go too quietly, frustration is perfectly appropriate to express when appropriately expressed ! You absolutely have the right to request a small leather good in store I mean I’ve requested nail files and come in to pick them up! hello!! 🫥😬!

⁠⁠@@TiwaDidThatYeah I’m gonna keep at it and figure out a groove with my SA. She has definitely come through with several items that I’ve heard are hard to get, so I’m hopeful that the bag will come. I’m just glad my experience has been less frustrating than some stories I’ve heard, and I enjoy each time I get to go in to shop ☺️

Bags were originally designed to protect the items inside, but now the valuable items are protecting the relatively cheap items inside. This phenomenon is very interesting *condup*

Loved this video! Just a comment in regards to Step 4B: they do indeed known what bags are coming in even though they always say the opposite........ Most of the time my SA mentions (by looking on this mobile looking gadget you referred to earlier😉in the video) which colors they are expecting to come in and that I can choose from 😳(after one time I got offered a K25 in a color I already own from the same color family and politely declined it). So half what they say that pertains to QB's is total BS especially if you're NOT an seasoned customer yet😎

Omg you really know your stuff!!! & Your SA must really be a long time fixture to have that kind of info available to them! 😱 hold on tight! 🫵🏾🤝🏾🔐😉 the trouble with Hermes is that to really crack into the top 20% of clients for a large and established boutique (mine is over 100years old) is a real Herculean task🥲 my SA tells me they have generational clients who’s parents and parents parents shopped under the same roof! Client profiles stretching deep into the 90’s on PAPER! I don’t doubt for a second there are echelons yet to reach, but it makes it all the more exciting to know there’s another strata just ahead 🏎️💨😎 vroom vroom! 😂😂 thanks for watchingxoxo ❤️

My local SA has been with Hermes for some over 3 years now (not a long tenure) but I am a client who knows what she wants .......only have specific colours on my wishlist and also don't need 2 bags a year depending on the seasonal shades. Just want what I desire and can match with my wardrobe 🤭 There are indeed families who have been shopping with H for generations and one can always tell who they are just by observing when shopping @FHS. Totally different from the new age clients 😉 Hope to come across your charismatic persona one day and that you will keep posting videos ❤

I’m not even that interested in the quota bags (I can’t afford them lol), so it’s a shame that demand has made it difficult for the other bags that I am interested in. I really want a Herbag.

It’s awful what ubiquity has done to the market for Hermes 😭😭😖 we’re SUFFERING! I say if you’re very specific about what kind of herbag you want then take the route of this video, but if you’re only hardware specific or something similar then try online! I never dug much into how online works (maybe in another video) but it’s a place to start if you wanna one and done! But either way I believe real enthusiasts like us should absolutely get what we’d like from our fave brand! 😭😭🧡

I think this strategy will still work best for me even with me not wanting quotation marks bags yet. And yes, I have a very specific Herbag. I don’t think I’ll ever see it online. I moved from a city with multiple Hermes stores to a country with none. It has been so very painful to try to get anything from them. They are indeed designed to service face to face clients. I have a question: I used to shop in a Hermes store in Singapore. My profile apparently was deleted after 5 years of absence (I relocated to another country) due to a digital safety policy. So I suppose to build that generational track record in a store, you have to regularly shop in the same store unbroken.

Omg I love the Singapore store! I spend a lot of time in SEA, the Singapore boutique near the Marina Bay Sands is always stackeddddd I always wondered what goodies the local clients could get out there 😍🥰🧡! Shame about your history but if you keep in touch with the people you shopped with in a way you’ll always be in! People say you can’t have two stores, not exactly true 🤭😶‍🌫️

I actually don’t no, I’ve been showed some items in that skin before actually but it’s far too delicate and well, hairy to fit into your collection in a meaningful way! Beautiful leather though 🤭🧡
