@@rico14 because the original comment was made August of 2021, a full 3 months before Pereira made his UFC debut. The comment is referring to Pereira KO'ing every GLORY middleweight contender, not anyone in MMA. You MMA casuals are flooding an almost 6 year old video thinking it happened yesterday.

Such a scary balance Alex has. He throws strikes at the rhythm of his opponents having equally good defense as offense all to set up his left hook. Hit Alex with a straight on his Alex's guard generally follows up with a short power left hook. Hard to escape someone with multiple traps for a left hook.
I've seen him throw high kicks with perfect timing so many times. He times them to throw them at the exact same time his opponents throw low kicks. Its crazy how good he is at making reads.

Pereira does telegraph when he's hunting a KO but still you're right, Rama did use nice evasiveness and anticipation. I get the feeling everything Poatan does though is a chess move, even the telegraphs - head movement in KB can backfire real quick. AP loves to mix in knees in later rounds which are the bob n weave kryptonite.
I really admire and also feel sorry for Rama. Surviving at the end of each round is not a good thing for him, as he would have to endure more heavy punishments from a merciless fighter like Pereira.
Good stoppage. Rama either needs to bulk up or move back to his weight class. He's a good fighter but couldn't do anything. Looking forward to seeing Pereira's UFC career.
alex's strikes took off perhaps even with missile-like sway at times and burim occasionally threw something of swift-looking strikes and even looked like he may start to have success when he'd increase acceleration in his attacks, but soon after doing so,, alex would make him pay for it after at times.
