The only sport that does t is armwrestling and jj. And expect to gain interest in month(s) old matches. Like someone is going to buy this 30 -60 days later

Wow, this sport is crazy. Years ago there was a problem with people only pulling guard, so some rulesets tried penalizing or even banning the guard pull. Now it's the exact opposite, people have to be sat down or the match becomes a boring and low skill wrestling match instead of a fight for the sub.

Sport moved away from stalling within the gui in 50/50 and other position To the nogui to see stalling on the feets now... And bigger the guy more they stall on there feet.. Sit down rules is greats For these who want see some juji action

Yeah unfortunately athletes mold to the ruleset to win, Adcc used to be no points first half to encourage subs, then people figured out just stall and play patty cake until points, same with ebi, stall until overtime and win by fastest escape time. Sub only no time limit is about the only thing left to eliminate stalling.

Except Sub only no time limit has been tried so many times and leads to complete disasters like the Izaak Michell and Kyle Chambers 2 hour match or hour In half Gordon Ryan vs Keenan 1 or Felipe Pena vs Gordon 1 .. having endless time encourages long cardio strategys pacing etc … there’s a reason nobody does it and it’s because the worst ruleset of them all

@@aplus1080 this is a gray zone for me…just because I hate the butt scooters in BJJ. Reminds me of my mum’s Yorkie when it rubs its butt on her rug. IMO which is basically invalid at this point-butt scooting and not knowing takedowns is the biggest negative in BJJ and is why wrestling has dominated mma. All of these ppl would be put me in a pretzel so I prob should shutup.

It's not just a head snap. It's a striking contact to the side of the neck. A Brachial Plexus Origin strike in self-defense lingo. There's a nerve that runs down the side of the neck. If you hit there hard enough, you can knock a person out. Happens in MMA all the time from high kicks when the shin bone hits that area. ... And, they are cumulative. If you get hit there enough times with effect, it can make you as doofy as repetitive strikes to the chin, or top of the head. ... This is why Varela is a dick. He knows what he is doing. He gets away with it because he can get away with it. He wouldn't do it to Jon Jones, or Josh Barnett, or Gordon Ryan, or Nicky Rod. ...
