Full Maunawili Trail from the Pali Highway to Waimanalo in 4K

This trail is not famous nor has spectacular summit views.
This trail is Pure Nature.
The trail begins at the Pali Highway hairpin turn and ends in Waimanalo.
It is 9.7 miles of walking in a gorgeous peaceful forest with some beautiful views towards Mt. Olomana and the surrounding shoreline.
It takes about 4-6 hours to finish. There is no outlets or road access other than the trailheads so do not start this trail during bad weather.
Also, the trail is not well maintained because of its inaccessible so you may run into some downed trees.
I recommend to park at Kumuhau Street in Waimanalo and take the City Bus to Castle Junction. From their walk up the Pali Highway to the trailhead.

Dear Toby, I recently stumbled upon your channel cause I've been planning to relocate myself to Hawaii in couple of years... Your channel is such an informative an visually beautiful. There's one thing I'd like to point out is....I understand your intention to deliver the entire length of the trails, however, wouldn't it be better to make them as natural as possible as normal speed with actual forest sound and your voice? Doesn't matter whether you covered the entire length. What matter is the atmospheric experiences although a virtual one I think. Anyway, again this is very informative as well as beautiful channel indeed! Looking forward and subscribed~

Thank you, I am glad you enjoy the videos. As for the Maunawili Trail video. That was just a practice run before recording the Kalalau Trail in full lengths. Maunawili is a very popular trail for trail runners. As for audio, yes I like natural sound too there is just one problem in Hawaii called winds. Unfortunately the iPhones mic is horrible with dealing with wind noise.
