X2 is one of those games that gets better the more you play it for me, and the same can be said about the music.

The harmonies in X2 are the best. Crystal Snail is an amazing track.

What a great composer Yuki Iwai is. This woman is just incapable of doing bad music.

I consider this to be peak MMX. The weapons, music, platforming, all of it is so memorable. I can remember renting this game for the first time with my brother in the mid-90's. I can't believe how long it's been and how old I've gotten. Thanks for posting this beautiful OST!

Best themes (my opinion) - Opening Stage - Flame Stag Stage - Magna Centipede Stage - Bubble Crab Stage - X-Hunter Stage 1 - Zero - Sigma 1st - Ending Overall while not as good as X1's soundtrack, it's still a very good and underrated OST in it's own right.

The Drums and the Bass in this soundtrack are so underated, people should listen more carefully while playing this game.

I personally find X2 to be the best of the original 3. To me, X2 had the most interesting subweapons because how most of them could be used for additional platforming options. Also, I really liked how your second charge shot could be used to damage bosses even during their invincibility frames.

X2 soundtrack is pretty underrated! They're some pretty banging themes in this game! Flame stag, Magna Centipede, Zero's theme and many more!

Listening back to the opening stage music and laughing at how many of these riffs I've accidentally ripped off over the course of my career as a recording artist. This shit is so good.

Overdrive Ostrich was my favorite level in the game. The rocket part was just really awesome for me as wee lad

Over the years I have been able to enjoy and favorite each of these tracks separately, from the intro to the opening stage to Flame Stag to Magna Centipede to enters Zero. I love them all the same.

This might just honestly be my favourite game of all time lol. I've played it so damn much, and it never gets old. It also helps that this is probably the Megaman game with the most freedom of choice. In other games, I always feel inclined to start with a specific boss. Mostly the easiest one, or the one with the best weapon. Like, sure, I could start with Elec Man's stage in Megaman 1, but... Why would I? I could also start with launch octopus in X1, but again, why would I? In both of those scenarios the player is hilariously unprepared for the boss. And that honestly is a curse that plagues almost every Megaman game, the games seem to give you the choice where to start, but there's always an order that's just Better than anything else, not that it's a huge issue, the Megaman series may just be my favourite franchise ever made, but it's still a problem I have with basically every game in the series. but here... That's not the case, for the first (and last time) I truly feel like I can just start anywhere I want, and that alone makes this game infinitely replayable for me, the fact that there are so many ways to play through it while also never having to backtrack incredible, even if you start at a level like overdrive ostrich, where you'll inevitably miss the boots upgrade, you can still play through the rest of the game without missing a single collectible and just... Return later on. In other X games, Playing a certain level first will ensure you will have to backtrack more than once, not the case here though, and it's still only one level where having an upgrade is required to get the collectible, there's literally endless possibilities with the order of bosses you fight, made even better by the fact that they're all completely beatable without any upgrade and are all fun to fight. Honestly, if there's any game I'd consider perfect, it's this one. There's nothing I dislike about this game. An absolute Masterpiece.

The opening stage’s music is by far the most epic shit I’ve ever heard. I remember renting this game back in the summer of ‘96 or ‘97 at Hollywood Video every week for months.

The opening stage track just completely sets the entire tone of this entire game. I remember being a kid hearing this and then green biker (Guy) gets destroyed right in front of me, thinking... X2 means business, no time to mess around!

thoroughly enjoy the musics. nice that you make a complete soundtrack of mmx2. although i wonder if the sound quality you either record or transfer is a bit low quality or maybe not. either way, still sounds great to me.

If you're a prog rock fan, then you'll enjoy MMX2's composition. It's definitely not as straightforward or traditional in composition as MMX or X3 but it's just really cool to listen to! I personally love it but I can see how some people might not like it as much.

My favorite mega man of all time. The soundtrack has been a staple for me since I was like 4 years old. One of the main reasons (apart from my dad) that I got into weird and experimental prog rock.

Overdrive Ostrich's setup and stage music always got me pumped up at 18:47. Nothing like racing along the hills and valleys while he runs ahead of you in the distance and then fighting his ass. :-) Didn't wanna use Crystal Snail's power to end it too quickly.
