gotta be bunny ears. my little sister and i played this game together for years until we lost her. she always wore them so when i play i still wear them in her memory. RIP Misa
@@Thekingalexbonez What happened to her? I'm sorry for asking I'm a diagnosed hypochondriac and have a disorder that won't let me sleep until I find out. So sorry for your loss.
Favorite combat item is d scimmy. The dragon scimitar is definitely the most iconic in my opinion. It's a high fantasy game and the dragon scimitar is a bright red sword with a fantasy look. It was so cool that people even used it as a mouse cursor. It required a quest that many of us didn't bother doing when we were younger. Sure, the abyssal whip is a better weapon in terms of DPS, but it looks plain and there aren't any other whips in the game. You could always just pick flax and buy it. During the early days of RuneScape 2 Classic, scimitars were all the rage, and the dragon scimitar was the ultimate symbol of that era. I truly believe that the dragon scimitar is THE weapon of Runescape.
Favorite combat item - FIRE cape by far!! I was still *extremely* new to OSRS early last year but my bestie convinced me to play - starting off as a GIM.....HOWEVER I *LOVED* the skilling aspect of it and was terrified of the combat. I worked up the courage to finally go for my fire cape and was shaking the entire time. But he helped me and encouraged me to keep going and I got it on my first try!!! So by far, my most coveted item.
My favorite item is the Mithril Scimitar. I remember waking up on a brisk March morning and playing the game with my cousin and we grinded so so hard to be able to buy one. We then tried to do Dragon Slayer, which promptly failed because we had absolutely nothing but the scimmy. We spent that day at our Grandma's trying to figure out where we went wrong and it's one of my best memories.
I know its way out of meta, but Ive been playing since Classic and the Rune 2H was so iconic back then! It still holds a special place in my heart even if its just a high alch now =P
My favorite combat item is Ava's accumulator. It is such a creative and interesting device that you cannot go without. You wouldnt believe a backpack with an undead chicken, some twigs and a magnet would be so useful xD. It`s also funny that it has the ability to gather metallic junk and that the magnet is disturbed when you wear metal armour.
Big tip for anyone who's after gear - if you want an item or upgrade but it's not part of the normal order, just make more $ and buy it; you'll be happier and play more using items you like. Upgrade targeting whichever boss and style you are currently camping first
Ham Joint is my favourite weapon Ham join was given to me as a gift from a random stranger who then invited me to a clan called Hamily. My heart is soft towards this item since it is the starting point of my osrs growth. The Ham Joint lives in my inventory. I take it where ever I go bossing , skilling, pking, questing. I love the Ham Joint Can you imagine popping this bad boy to get the last hit on a pk. Minds will be blown ahaha
My favourite combat item HAS to be the BOWFA. a few months ago I dumped my bank to buy one along with crystal armour and the rebuild since has completely changed the way I view and play the game, it’s allowed me to finally escape the progress paralysis plagueing my RS career for so long. Thank you for always pouring so much effort into these videos! Much love as always! RSN Tiny Tempest.
Literally same I followed his previous gear guide for 2023 and that shaped my account from last year till now. I was sitting at about a 32m bank in Jan 2023 and now I'm sitting at just about 690m :') Finally started bossing and am slowly building up to do Raids hopefully soon! Bowfa literally changed the entire game for me. If you're looking for someone to boss with as well I'm totally down my ign is J7x
Great video and a really great idea of nicely showing the three gear-types step-by-step with having the characters face us, showcasing the gear in such a nice and clean way, with the other gear pieces around them. Very pleasing for the eye to watch. Thank you for being a great go-to channel for any type of guide in OSRS! My favorite weapon I think must be the ⚓Barrelchest Anchor, because that's the weapon that caught my attention the most when watching PK-edits on RU-vid in 2007-2008!
Honestly Godswords are most iconic to me, as a kid I never had membership and heard all the crazy, almost mythical, stories about godswords from friends
I love the Magic Shortbow (i) because it's a cheap and great solution for strong ranging even viable in late game, I also love the special attack animation !!
My favourite combat item is the Lightbearer ring. Bringing that and a saradomin godsword to slayer trips makes me use way less prayer pots and extends the trips so much, it's amazing!
My favorite combat item is the Osmumten's fang. With it being so reasonably priced it has allowed me and many other newer players to bridge the gap for high level content where a whip wouldn't suffice. Its honestly been such a game changer and is my go to melee weapon for any content I do.
my favorite combat item will allways be the barrelchest anchor, it was peak fashionscape back in the day, and one of my favorite questlines, also was a fun final hitting item and has the nostalgic appeal to me and it just looks cool 8)
Took me a few days back in the EoC beta since they gave us everything we needed for no grind. Still left once EoC launched though (came back for osrs tho)
The Fire Cape is 100% my favourite item in the game. I remember trying so hard to get it as a Kid but was never good enough to do it, but when I came back to the Game a little over a year ago I was determined to get it and I finally did. Felt so good 😊
my favorite combat item has to be a steel 2H, i remember i got it when i was a kid and was so hyped i finally got to that armor progression, love this nostalgic game

The dragon dagger will always hold a place in my heart. Through the victories and deaths, it stood by my side. A deterent to the most resistant slayer monsters and the bane to those who seek to end my journey in Runescape. Great video Kaoz and love the intro!
My favourite combat item has got to be the rune platebody. Might mean nothing to most players these days but grinding FTP back in the glory days and finally completing Dragon Slayer to wear it is one of my favourite gaming memories of all time!
Barrows Gloves are easily my favorite combat item. The culmination of so much time, effort, and progression leading to a single item, more than worth its weight in zenyte. 2nd BiS for all three combat styles.. truly unparalleled versatility and convenience as far as equipment goes. Looks lovely with a lot of different gear too! You really can't beat it.
Blowpipe has to be my favorite combat item. Feels like the biggest upgrade when you finally get one, adds a lot of enjoyment, and opens up semi efficient pvm for a low entry price.
I gotta say my favorite combat item is Bowfa with full crystal. I'm playing OSRS for the first time since I was a kid and have fallen in love with it. The grind you have to do to get to bowfa is long but super worth. If I had to pick a singular item instead, it would be the fire cape. When you get your first fire cape, you feel like you're on top of the world.
For me the combat item with the biggest story behind it was the rune scimitar drop from a fire giant. I was three times droprate for an item that never actually held value before until I started my ironman account. The feeling of this drop sealed the deal for me that I love ironman mode so much because even the items that never held any value, now meant a lot till this day.
My favourite I think is the ruby bolts (e), hearing the sound of the trigger and seeing a big 100 damage is always so satisfying and fun especially if you get 2 or even 3 procs in a row, even if sometimes they trigger at the same time an enemy hits through prayer and give heart attacks as you barely survive the attack, or when you forget a range switch and hitting 2s and 1s right at the end being very comedic
Favorite Combat item has to be the Sara Godsword. It has saved so much on supplies during the slayer grind. Very satisfying to watch your health shoot back up after landing that lovely max hit. Happy Birthday Kaoz!
Man, my favorite combat item has to be a dwarf cannon. I remember back in the day how expensive they were and using one put you at boss status. It's also extremely fun to use and, to me, symbolizes that you accomplished something.
Just so happens I've watched several of your videos just today, having not heard of you before. Can't believe what I've been missing- great content! My favorite weapon would be the ham joint- I love how goofy the item is while also being BIS in end-game content.
Ahrim staff will always be my favorite. It was the first barrows item i ever got as a child in 07 scape. My friend was jealous of it even though it was bot the rarest item when barrows cane out lol.
Happy birthday Kaoz! Blowpipe is my favorite. It’s so strong and versatile. I almost always carry this for quests or random tasks because it hits hard, heals and you don’t risk any ammo in the wilderness.
For me my favorite combat item right now is the dragon hunter crossbow. As soon as I used it it truly showed me how much of a jump there is from just a dragon crossbow to best in slot for dragons would actually make a huge difference. showing just how much items can make a difference if you have the ability to use them.
I am a maxed Granite Warlord and will always will be, thus making full Granite my favorite combat gear to pk, because when I ko players they cry louder. I am also currently working on a main account, this is why all these shinny items I never used before are my go to as soon as I can get my hands on them!
favorite combat item?? it has to be the trusty barrows gloves…as an avid quester it never failed to make me feel like one of the big shots for so cheap
The Abby Whip was a major chase for me in old OSRS and it stuck with me for a long time in current OSRS. I loved it enough to get one of the items to change it and I played through leagues to get the other version.
My fave combat item would probably have to be tbow just because it is an iconic representation of OSRS as a whole. It's the first megarare from the first raid and it remains at the forefront of modern BIS gear. The introduction of raids changed the game a ton and now we have incredible megarares in all 3 combat styles.
Rune Scimitar, because back in the day when classic was still a thing and they had 07 i will never forget the feeling of finally getting 40 attack and being able to wield rune. Makes you feel so good and satisfied.
My favorite item is the Saradomin Godsword. The utility of the spec is super nice to have for slayer tasks and godswords are such an iconic part of the game.
My favorite has gotta be that scythe! The look for it is detailed and imposing also I think it’s really interesting how it can hit over multiple tiles. Anything that can change up the game like that is really cool
My new absolute favorite combat item is Bowfa. I just completed this grind on my Group Ironman and it gave me a new appreciation for the enhanced weapon seed.
Favorite is the Abyssal Whip, back in the day was such a drastic change from solid stiff weapons, it made you feel like you unlocked a new animation by itself
I don’t think anything will ever be as iconic as what the fire cape was/still is. The fact that it’s still extremely useful and has held up to the test of time, is what solidifies it as my favourite piece of combat equipment. Thankyou for another comprehensive progression guide!
i think my favorite combat item is the whip. That has ALWAYS been the item to get growing up and when i first got mine, it was the best moment ever. it began the dopamine grind that exists today
Happy birthday Kaoz my man! My favourite combat item has to be the Dragon Scimitar for the nostalgia - after completing MM and equipping it you felt like the biggest giga chad ever! Great video , thank you as always for your guides. Legend of the game.
I think I’ve got two favorite combat items. I started playing in like ‘08 and the RS2 D-Scim was SOOO good, with the dark red blade and gold handle. But playing OSRS now, I think my favorite definitely has to be the bowfa, just because you can charge it, and it just opens up the game like crazy.
I would say my favorite combat item is definitely the ava's assembler. It's ammo pickup is incredibly useful and the quality of life you get is unrivaled. For me its just the most iconic version of any such device. The quiver will probably one day replace it for me but I am yet to obtain it and it hasn't been out long enough to have that same level of iconic to me, especially with how lovely and fun the upgrading process for the assembler is. If you think about it, vorkath is just a big chicken that spits fire.
My favorite has been the Abby whip! My first major upgrade when I finally became a member! it’s always been so iconic of a weapon and it really kept me playing the game as I just enjoyed using it
For me, it must be either the Fang or the fire cape. The Fang just opened up so much of the late game for me, besides speeding up many Slayer tasks, it opened up bosses like Vorkath and got me even trying to learn TOA. The Fang is my go-to for almost everything melee. It is by far the best 13m I've spent within OSRS, due to the possibilities it provides alone. However, the sheer dopamine rush of finally obtaining the fire cape (with borrowed arma and pegesian from a friend, who also coached me through the Jad fight), after so many attempts, I don't think will ever be topped. To this day it is the item I'm most proud of owning.
Definitely Crystal. I remember being a kid and thinking crystal bow was the coolest thing to ever come out. The concept of no arrows being needed reminded me of the Quincy dude in bleach. Moneda
I just started playing osrs with a friend as group ironman. Jagex should really work on the mage progression. You get an Ibans staff at 50 magic. And the next staff upgrade is either the warped sceptre that does +1-2 max hits at lvl 86 magic, or a trident which requires 86 slayer. This is especially noticable since there are so many range and especially meele upgrades.
I still remember getting the fire cape. I was over at a friends house, and after finally killing jad after much attemps we just cheered! My hands were shaking my god
My favorite combat item has to be the Fire Cape. It took me about 7 tries over the course of a year (I know, I know, it was just hard to stay motivated when you spend an hour making it to wave 63, then get 1-hit thanks to Jad hands) but once I finally spanked Jad's little red booty, I felt like I had ascended to godhood in OSRS. I had completed an in-game dream that kid me would be amazed by, but it also really rekindled my love for the game. Ever since i've gotten that cape, i've hit the achievement diary, quest, and PvM grind harder than I ever have before and have loved every moment of it. I always joke that as long as it's still around, i'll be playing Runescape well into my elderly years.
My favorite wep has to be the Saradomin Godsword! It’s been my favorite since I started in 2009. I’ve always really like Saradomin items but the hilt on the Godsword stands out among the rest and the spec is super underrated for what it does. I even like the spec animation it has as well. Keep up the good work Kaoz!
Abby Whip has always been an iconic item to me ever since I was a little kid playing. I remember training at Varrock guards and Fally white knights until my younger self got 70 attack, lol.
Whip is my favorite. Been playing since 07 remember fanboying over every higher level that was able to purchase and wield it. I still love my whip to this day.
Favorite combat piece is Corrupted BOWFA. I was a big fan of Cbow as a kid, and having one that is way stronger, no charges, and is actually 2nd BiS? Chef's kiss.
My favorite combat item in the game is the Willow Comp Bow. This item has so much nostalgia for me from the old days of RuneScape and was my go to trusty weapon for all combat back when I had no idea what I was doing and was too poor for membership. Still love it and keep one around just for the memories.
My favorite combat item is Bandos Godsword. Brings back memories of my first expensive item i bought back in the day. Always loved the looks and animations.
My favorite combat gear is my Guthix-trimmed rune armor. When I was a kid playing, I thought it was the coolest armor, and as an adult, I still keep a set at the top of my armor tab, for nostalgia's sake.
Happy Birthday Kaoz This guide helped a lot. I am super stuck on gear right now and what to do next so I appreciate the updated guide. Been looking for a recent guide to go off of. Ahrims set is my favorite of the barrows sets but barrows is extremely iconic for me. I remember wheb guthans was one of the most expensive sets in the gane at 10mil and people would sell it in falador park.
Love the continued quality improvements, you're a master at this. I will never forget the first time I equipped the Fang, the accuracy boost made it feel like I logged onto a whole different account! -PetRockman
My favourite item (although I do not own one) is the Scythe of Virtur. I've just always appreciated the aesthetics of Scythes in general. Such a beautiful style of weapon and goes hand in hand with Death itself.
my favorite combat item has gotta be the fire cape. I was so proud of myself when I finally got one. I'm a long way away from being a good player but for me, that was such a huge accomplishment
For me, it has to be the Saradomin sword!! As a kid, I always loved using the special attack and watching lightning rain down from the heavens! Plus, it was really handy to train on bandits back in a day! Love your videos, man keep it up!!
My favorite combat gear is the Amulet of Fury. Amulet of fury is a versatile piece of gear that is useful in some way to all 3 combat styles. You can wear it wherever you go to have some style points and it gives a prayer bonus, strength bonus, and even some accuracy to all styles. Big bonus for late game when I get there: It even heals when you make it a blood fury! It has been the most important piece of gear in my journey through Gielinor and it will always stay that way in my heart. RSN 90oobb
My favourite combat Item in the game has to be the acb. Got it very early on and was my fav weapon for the longest time and I couldn’t wait to train to be able to equip it. Unfortunately I do not have it anymore, but I cherish the time I had it
My favorite combat item is the Red Salamander, red is a color that symbolizes power. The Red Salamander spits fire, the fire is also red. The Red Salamander also reminds me of Charmander.
Coming back into the game after a long hiatus. I can say my favorite combat item is the abyssal whip. It has survived the test of time and it’s still as usable as it was back in 07’. Obviously, there’s so many new toys in todays game but it will always be a constant common item in the progression from early game to mid game and eventually grinding to the late game.
I’d say my favorite is the dragon dagger, iconic and versitile. Bring it to raids and slayer tasks. Always in the bank when I need to pull it out. Also well done on this guide, it’s nice to see the entire progression and in detail.
My favorite item would probably have to be the Dorgeshuun crossbow. It is a great item for beginners, because not only is the item and the ammo itself cheap, but the only requirement you need to use it is 28 ranged. Very beginner friendly, and cost effective, and got me through several tough situations.
My favourite combat item is 100% the rune scimitar / 2h because F2P pking back in the day was so much fun. The weapons have so much nostalgia attached to them and are for real the games most iconic weapons.
Voidwaker. I’ve only ever borrowed it because I don’t have enough cash but man was it a beautiful weapon. As always, we never quit osrs we just take long breaks. Big fan of the channel.
