Hello! My name is Sam, also known as Kaoz or Kaozbender. On this channel, you will find guides about pretty much anything in Oldschool Runescape. 1-99 guides, money makers, how to improve, and much more!
I think the quest wasn’t gm worthy. Even though I found the quest good and fun. Grinding the tormented demons after the quest is pretty fun imo as well. Rsn: wootcutowns
I hope Jagex puts Ghommal and Duradel back on their rightful places. No one has ever heard of Dudadel’s daughter, or the strong and masculine “Lady” Gnonock. It reeks of stupid story writing and political self-inserts.
I could be wrong but while guthix sleeps had a lot more lore related to the game in the original version so their deaths made sense back then, it’s kinda weird content to add to osrs imo because the story has changed with the new content that’s been added throughout the years
Rip Duradaddy. As someone who sucks at the game (me), it’s funny seeing how intense your inventory was for the Elemental boss. I think I only used 2 sips of brew and only had mid level weapon switches with hybrid armour no switches. As you said, much easier than the other grandmaster quests. RSN: Postman Ty
While guthix sleeps is my favorite quest, and it is not that long to even complete. It is nice. I like it aside the part of rampage of killing npcs left and right. The post quest is good, having the demons back in the game again is GREAT even if the drop tables rewards are that bad. RSN: Yuukazin
The only part of the quest I struggled with was the fight against a certain mage who I won't spoil. 89 Mage, 90 Def, Ahrim's+ for gear. The special attacks were a little unforgiving considering he can also hit through prayer (except for the bomb mechanic that was EZ). Even when you handled them correctly you still sometimes took damage. Maybe I was doing something wrong?
What worked for me for the final fight was I stopped switching gear and just focused on switching prayers. He switches his defensive prayers so much I still killed him with most of my supplies left.
he didnt swap for me at all. until I swapped my weapons. tested my second attempt using range only. he stuck using protect from range/melee for over 8 minutes.
WGS was a good quest, but has no right being a GM quest. TD's drop table is fine, however I believe it is too long of a grind to get the uniques. RSN Murunix
I've been lucky enough to get 4 synapses from 700 kc so far. Made the ember light and now I'll definitely make the scorching bow. Can't wait to try em out
Eh, I think WGS was, and should still be the bar for Grandmaster. Even if that means Sins of the father, and Beneath cursed sands each get promoted to GM too. And like Desert Treasure 2 maybe deserves to be a new tier of difficulty... Since it's head and shoulders above the others in difficulty. And the post quest content is minimal, that needs some changing. And the drop tables too Jesus, it's the only post quest content and it's drop tables are ass for its difficulty.
The quest felt dull, but the new elite black armor is pretty nice. Comparable to Prosolyte but dripped out. I have killed about 50-60 tornmented demons and found that Mage and Melee is the most chill way to deal with them. I hope to get all 3 drops because I am not paying 60m for each of the synapses, F that. RSN: Lancefoxcia
When you are talking about the drop rates for godwars bosses, i think you are forgetting the fact that these are locked behind a KC and also have 255hp (bosses btw) compared with the tormented demons which have 600hp. I would even guess you spend much more in supplies killing tormented demons depending on your combat level, than doing these bosses, because you have the option to group with other players. Jagex needs to aknowledge that these demons are locked behind a "Grandmaster" quest, and so, their loot should be decent in comparison with other monsters that don't require you to invest in questing.
I didn’t mind the quest. It helped that I had just completed DT2 the week before it came out. The balance elemental was no joke though and really tested efficient click ability. It would have been cool if they would’ve released that as a post quest boss with drops too. RSN Hawkback1329
I agree that this quest definitely didn't feel to be at grandmaster level or even at "very long" length but honestly that was my only issue with it I actually died twice by not paying attention: first I miscliked in the black knight catacombs without the armor and my character ran into the mages and my HP was instantly deleted and the second one was against Surok since I forgot water runes to counter his fire spells but even with that, It's one of my favourite boss fights ever, forcing you to use your magic abilities to the fullest even including spells casting alchemy mid fight And honestly, even with any flaws the quest may have, suddenly giving you 255 combats is one of the coolest things that the game has ever done. With regards of fighting Lucien I think it was better we didn't do it because even without the stone he was shown to be extremely powerful and now that he has it, it opens the door for Jagex to create the strongest boss monster ever, I'm actually nervous to face him in the future now THAT will be a true Grandmaster Challenge RIP the Slayer Masters, and after DS2 I see why they have us do all the killing, they SUCK at their job
I've calced a few, and they are extremely similar dps. Neither is better for all tasks, it goes back and forth but they are usually within .2dps per second.
For Slayer I'd straight up use Venny bow if not using Konar. But bc SRA can hit 80s it feels chubkier. Emberlight 4tick speed and max hit in the low 60s might rival axe yeah
With the combat rebalance, magic with slayer is amazing. If you get fire giants, ice giants, trolls, demons, steel dragons? Black mask(i) and you're making 70k-80k xp/h semi-afk/active while getting drops to offset the cost of water/fire/earth wave. Barrows is also nice for magic training. It's engaging, and you make more runes than you spend. I'd have never trained magic with telealching as it is not mentally stimulating while it's physically demanding. Honestly, we should recategorize skills not as active/afk, but rather: Is it Mentally Stimulating or Not? Is it Physically demanding or not? If it's mentally stimulating, both physical and not are good training methods. If it's unstimulating, only low-demand methods are good. Mentally stimulating and active would be like GOTR Unstimulating and high demand is blackjacking. Stimulating and relaxed is slayer unstimulating and low demand is forestry.
