Смотрю давно ваш канал и я восхищён вашем трудом. Вы настоящий мастер своего дела!!!!! Вот как надо востанавливать автомобили. Удачи вам и всех благ!!! Привет вам из Санкт-Петербурга.
I really appreciate what auto body shops do. It's distinct and specialized that your general mechanic (whom I also really respect). What you all do is like voodoo or magic...
I think this is one of the most extreme repairs Steve and his guys have done. Just impressive. Unfortunately this is not some type of service that would be affordable in my country. I can't order a simple inner door frame for my car without having to pawn a kidney, imagine a full body frame.
High volume cars complete for cost $350. Full side frame (which they replaced) $2,500. Labor is very expensive, and usually body shops add 50% to the cost of parts (for instance jobs) to make more money.
For joining the metal, do not use MAG welding, use the cellette spot-weld machine to prevent corrosion and also use your PPE or personal protection equipment just to protect your eyes and skin.
I'm a technician and MOT tester for a Japanese car dealer here in the UK. What they don't show you in the video is all the underlining issues this car will have in the future. I know its two totally different countries I'm comparing... however when the poor customers buy these cars and bring them in to the dealer for a fault and the wiring loom has been damaged or cracked and its not covered under warranty as bobs back street garage (other garages are available lol) has done a "repair" and not recorded the damage to the authorities is unbelievable. Fires caused by electric wires chafing or bridging is a serious matter. However these guys are impressive and carnt take that away from them.
I'm really impressed by the work and enjoy watching those cars get back to life. So satisfying... That said, I'm pretty sure putting a car like this back into shape is more costly than buying a new one. Am I wrong?
Not really. I am positive this isn’t in the US. In Pakistan, for example, they do the same. They will take a totaled dump truck, take everything off, take the two frame rails to a shop next door, straighten the rails, reassemble the truck. They will put a new cab on it if necessary. In Pakistan they purchase single axle trucks then they extend the frame and convert it to a tandem axle truck. It is much cheaper for them.
Salvaged title only means that if you buy it, you cannot get any one to finance it. Depending on who did the repairs I would not hesitate to purchase a salvaged title vehicle.
Incredible workmanship in a really fascinating video, but you couldn't pay me to ride in a car like that. Parts of the safety cage have obviously been compromised already and this car should really be sold for parts.
Here you come to say that in the USA it is sent to the auction Withdrawn the parts and crumpled in a junkyard la Valued for the life of a driver because as much as the bodywork of this car has been reformed I have to do it if this car crashes again what will happen to who it's inside him
@Clint Eastwood well, they do weld It to the factory specs, using the factory parts... It's not like they're Just straightening It and welding different materials...
I totally agree with Mr Eastwood, this vehicle (as with most cars in these vids) should be stripped and crushed then recycled. BTW Clint Eastwood, i love your movies
Great ability to rebuild the body. However as mechanical engineer with 20 years experience in automotive industry, I could not recommend this kind of repair.
Wilson Andrade, there are not compromises in this kind of repairs , it is done all over the world but in the USA 🇺🇸, the minds of the general public and engineers are set to make the people consume and spend money, there are not differences and the work done here to the work done in a car maker factory. As a matter of fact this job looks a lot better than some I had seen in some cars brand new out the dealership. If we don’t stop this kind of behavior and start doing what the other nations are getting ahead of us we’ll never gonna get out of this big hole we are in. Same goes to the medical practice and pharmaceutical companies.
They seem to do a good job, these repairs are done in the US and Europe as well, as long as the insurance company pays!! The difference comes to liability and the cost of labor. Its cheaper and safer for everyone to just total the car and buy a new/used one. There was also a quirk in Chinese car insurance in that they pay for repairs regardless of the car's value. They would pay more to repair the car than to total it and just replace it, because totalling a car was not a concept for them!
Yes, while the skills displayed are very impressive indeed, this car's structural integrity is compromised and you wouldn't want to find that out the hard way.
Parabéns amigão pelo vídeo.esses cara trabalha muito bem gostei muito e difícil de encontrar profissional assim dedicado.vo manda minha Belina 1 ano 72 pra da uma geral ai
What he did is actually nearly same to factory. I think so. Because he replace the pieces panel by panel. Not just simply chop and weld the broken panel.
Great job, exactly the way it should be done. My question though is can a profit , even a small one be made. Its obvious that Nissan does sell the parts but those panels are not cheap. Great job. I would not have any problems buying that car, if I was looking for one.
There have to be total out vehicle. The labor alone would have to cost more than vehicle is worth . He has to be buying them .(cheap) he and his crew does do excellent work & doesn't cut corners. Have a good day guys 👦
Guys a great repair. The only criticism I have is the lact of use of a eye protection for most of the MIG welding. Please take care of your eyes! Once they're gone, your can't get your vision back.
