After filtering the HCl wash, collect the solution and add a small amount of sulfuric acid to precipitate the lead. Once the lead is removed from the solution, test the solution with stannous chloride. If you added more HCl than would be needed to dissolve the tin, lead and nickel, it will dissolve some palladium. Palladium will dissolve in dilute HCl if heated or exposed over time.
Hello, can I add sulfuric to nitric to remove base metals in a solution with silver, platinum and palladium? Would it only precipitate the base metal? Thank you.
A couple of suggestions. After you drop the silver chloride, you can use regular tap water to wash. And after converting from silver chloride to silver oxide using the hydroxide, you can use sugar to convert to silver. Which is cheaper than glycerine. I know those are only a few cents difference, but on larger scales, those few cents really add up. Great video though. Off to part 2.
I cant say from my own practical experience, but from what I have read it is the sunlight that discolours the silver chloride, not the air. Great vid Qwethen.... I havent seen many people successfully process these MLCC. Excellent work. I should wait until iv watched part two before i put my foot in my mouth, but you have made it look simple and I know it is not.
great video my friend. I really like these type of videos that are part of a series. look forward to seeing the next one now...I'm curious because have about 470g of mlcc. it he nice him know what PM are in them.thumbs my friend.👍👍
Amazing Videos, so I am actually an IT pro and have so many extra parts I've been saving for awhile now. Unfortunately I cannot get nitric acid in my state ( Due to Stupid Kids watching too much breaking Bad) is there a good substitute?
The fact that there is silver left in it is because the silver precipitates from the hydrochloric acid. That is why silver must be mined first and then palladium.
@@user-hq9vq4ju5d No, I choose the silver with the hydrochloric acid and let it stand for 24 hours so that it settles completely and can be poured. I cement the palladium in the second part of the video using washing soda and formic acid.
I see sources say if they ate magnetic, then they don't have anything in them. Then i see people say the magnetic ones are good too l, and some say the lightly magnetic ones are good and not the super attractive... I have boards from 95-presant, and I can't find a single mlcc that isn't magnetic and I am so confused...
@qwethengoldrecovery I read/saw that the mlcc marked Cxxx are the ones to go for so I been isolating them. I leave the Rxxx ones alone for now. I am keeping my "unpopulated" boards in case I learn something new.
i wanth too send you a foto with some electronic parts , and i dont now if contein palladium, ., but i donth now haw to send foto. email adres or mesanger ?
