Better way. If the contractors still work try selling them whole to factories. I've fixed a 400A contactor by brazing on a junk silver dime on each point, fixed 1300 dollar switch for about 12 bucks in dimes and a few cents of brazing wire and propane. ❤
Yes, I take care of that. I will sell what can be turned into use, but most of them are already burnt or unsalvageable! The profit is always higher if you can sell it! Keep this mindset, you shouldn't take everything apart at once!

Looks like the material you discarded as magnetic, wasn't 100% clean and likely had gold in it. If you reprocess all your waste, I'd expect another .3-.7grams yet. If not, that was super low yield material. 🤷♂️ I process 1980s stuff, the yields are incredible!
nice video. perhaps my suggestion if you add some CON2H4 before do SMB would more gold you would get. Its to neutralize the HNO3 that still strong on solution. Its effected on SMB process..
2 kilos yielded 4.6 grams?!?! Those are some HIGH GRADE pins there! Most pins arent even worth my acids or time. You pulled (as of today) about $300 from them, thats worth my acid, and time. I started with ewaste, went to karat scrap, now gold filled is my bread and butter. Seasons close to changing, the heating pads will be fired up soon!
I see sources say if they ate magnetic, then they don't have anything in them. Then i see people say the magnetic ones are good too l, and some say the lightly magnetic ones are good and not the super attractive... I have boards from 95-presant, and I can't find a single mlcc that isn't magnetic and I am so confused...
@qwethengoldrecovery I read/saw that the mlcc marked Cxxx are the ones to go for so I been isolating them. I leave the Rxxx ones alone for now. I am keeping my "unpopulated" boards in case I learn something new.
Once we do it, its easy! Ive done about 10 ozts now of 23k + recovery and refining. But man this is such a struggle for new guys. Im gonna make a video so easy to follow that a monkey can do it. As soon as the weather in PA warms up, im gonna do it! Im done inside refining, fumes have corroded some of my pipes 😱! Lesson learned the hard way, but all good now. I can run a batch inside today, but i wont. And to avoid thermal shock, i need the weather to warm up!

Those are from breakers i take it? Definitely a thicker plating than the stuff im dealing with. I tested 500g of plated pins from automotive relays and didnt get much. In the future ill recover it as anode slimes from a copper cell im going to have to build

Is the funnel hole too big for cottonball? I had that problem with a 10 pack i got. 😂 I use the other type of coffee filter and put a cotton ball in it. Twist it like a candy and turn the extra back in on itself. Stuffing that in hole has worked nicely. Good show.
Dear friend you have a lot of experience in minerals what acid can be used to dissolve palladium if formic acid is not available or can be used HCL (Hydrochloric acid )
it can also be recovered with dimethyl glyoxime or chlorine gas if dissolved in nitric acid, but I don't recommend either of these, DMG stinks, chlorine gas is tricky, safety comes first!
