I can’t believe the insane disrespect from everyone for that French team, and particularly towards Deschamps. What he achieved with all the issues and injuries he had to deal with is OUTSTANDING. He managed to build a very productive team and happy camp when so many others collapsed while having their regular starters. Congratulations on France for an incredible feat.
Absolutely and without the Ballon d'Or recipient Karim Benzema, Kanté, Pogba, Nkunku, Lucas Hernandez, Kimpembe... So many hardships so close to the tournament. France always shows resilience and grit and so will they on Sunday.
He is the best in creating a team spirit, in avoiding self complacency and arrogance and in focusing the team on efficiency and ruthlessness. He was the same as a player, very charismatic, was captain of Nantes when he was only 17yo
France is the next Brazil for talent pool. Paris is the new Rio de Janerio. Mathys Tel purchased by Bayern for record fee for 17 year old already regarded as the next Mbappe. Hugo Ekitike at PSG 20 year old. Camavigna Real Madrid 20 year old.
I'm so dissapointed that Giroud didn't scored that rocket that came off the post. Giroud would be more of a French hero then he already is. To your point, there are some more excellent young player coming through the French football system.
@@notthisprickagain8499 they do ... They just move to other countries allot of the time . in fact mabppe wanted to represent Cameroon before they told his father he had to pay them for him to play for Cameroon
Even if he wasn't great as a player, the experience is supremely vast. Didier Deschamps have won 2 UCL as player, 3 SerieA titles, Copa Italia, 2 Italian super cup, UEFA super cup, and won the World Cup in 1998 vs that World class Brazilian team. As manager, he's also won the World Cup. Supremely experienced. And deserves the new extended contract he's getting with France so Zidane will have to wait.
Before the England game I heard all this talk that France are only Mbape and if you shut him down they would be in trouble. Well this is the second game Mbappe didn't score but because of his flair, dribbling and creativity, he was immense yet again despite not scoring. Mbappe scoreless in last two games but even France left back can score spectacular goals so it was Theo, Giroud, Tchouaméni and Randal Kolo Muani France's scorers last two games. What Mbappe did in build up to the second was bewildering. He absolutely rinse Hakimi and then some more sauce after that, dancing past the Morocco defense. Top man adjustment decision there by Deschamps to move Kylian centrally. My word. Kylian, just stop it please 🤗 This team is lethal.
Going into this world cup, Deschamps knew all the attention would be on Mbappe, different from 2018 where he was still unknown, played with absolute freedom. Now, all the focus being on him, with at some point having 3 to 4 players on him, Deschamps gave total freedom to Griezmann. The french have adjusted their game accordingly and it's working so far.
Spain are a better example, but the type of possession you have is the real issue. It's not overrated if you consider scoring won't happen without it + conceding won't happen with it. There's possession, + then, there's possession, I can't be more clear than that, I take pride in my ability to make myself understood, it's important to me. I imagine you don't need me to tell you that.....................
Stop it. Sofaine Boufal expressing his true feelings that Morocco represents the Arab more than Africa. It will be interesting to see if anyone dare to argue with me when the Morocco player express that they represent the Arab world
Morocco tried to break Kylian's leg but thank goodness he's a bit of a ninja and tough enough I cannot believe the Morocco player didn't get a yellow card they tried all the dirty tricks in the book to rattle France but there's a reason we are defending champions, so resilient and even Theo they tried to break oh my days it was infuriating to watch. What can I say about Ibrahim Konate. Absolute colossal. Today when I saw that Upamecano was going to be out of the match for Konate I Absolutely smiled and punch the air I'm Absolute certain Upamecano would've gave away a penalty this game but Liverpool's Konate was absolutely sensational and that performance was even more spectacular when you consider he wasn't even playing a lot recently.

France have some young talents…watched some of their league games and I was like, if you are a coach and you need to sign a DM, wingers or central defenders, this league got them in plenty…I’m not surprised they are doing well…what a final we are about to witness…
That's the problem about our league ,we are in the top 5 in Europe ,we produce quality players but none of them stays. That's why we are the fifth and we have only one UCL.

How many times do we need to experience in football, that teams don't need to play well to win the World Cup . Like Italy, you can win by defending well and taking your chances well. Basically, scoring the goal when is crucial. The pundits always get it wrong.
@@balajo8396 wc2018: peru, australia, Denmark Wc2022: tunisia, australia, Denmark what a coincidence that france always pick the weakest team of every pot !!
People saying France only winning because of Africans are belittling France as a football nation imo. France have ALWAYS been a big footballing nation. They were just giant underachievers, similar to Spain before they won 2 Euro Cups and a World Cup from 2008-2012. Both nations had some of the top players and top leagues long before they tasted their biggest international success in recent times. "Ballon d'Or" is French. FIFA itself was founded in France and stands for Fédération Internationale de Football Association. Even before the 98 WC win France had Platini, Jean Pierre Papin and many other legends of the game. Just Fontaine has the most goals out of any player in a single World Cup. France also hosted World Cups and Euro Cups. Yes, France have benefitted from their African immigrants and yes they have helped push France over the top. But it's a mutual relationship when it comes to football because those immigrants have also benefitted from the French school of football, their academies, etc. More so than they would have anywhere else. Plenty of nations have African immigrants and descendants. England, Brazil, USA, Netherlands, Germany, etc. Nobody has benefitted as much as France over the last 24 years. Maybe Brazil back in the Pele days and during their second golden era between 1994-2002. Not to mention not all of the immigrants are African. Platini himself is actually of Italian heritage, and he's probably the greatest French footballer of all time next to Zidane, Henry and in the future Mbappe. Griezemann is part Spanish from what I remember. Theo and Lucas Hernandez are also Spanish. France have even had Polish immigrants make their team like Koscielny. France is one of the most diverse nations and their team is a reflection of that. But even before they were this diverse they were always a threat and always considered a big football nation, just not as successful as they are now.
Really hope deschamps continues as French coach for few more years, coz that'd mean Giroud gets well deserved caps and few more goals for France!!! 👍 he's a proper legend for France and must be treated that way!! 👍
Congratulations to the whole team of Morocco, and especially to their magnificent Manager who in such a short time got them playing such good football. To all the beautiful people of Morocco, a Country I know well and Love, you brought Passion and Magic back, and you made me happy to watch a sport I was giving up on, Thank you, Morocco!
If you enjoy the way the play, I can recommend you a team called Atletico Madrid. They play with the same passion for parking the bus just like these guys and you can watch them every week!
France have a significant chance of winning the Final. Their defending skills showed against Morocco and England, and their midfield got stronger as they progressed in the tournament. Key players will have a hand in opening the scoreline early. Dembele, Tchouameni, Griezmann, Mbappe, and Giroud will need to keep their eyes open for chances and spaces. Messi is unpredictable so the French defense would need to strategize how they will keep their eyes on him and the other opposing forwards at the same time. They will need to be very quick in the first half to secure the lead and defend with everything inside of them in the second half, while finding chances to score more goals in the second half. It will be a tough game for France but they can win.
The Class Of France 98 Have Truly inspired There New Generation, No Doubt France is The New Global Football Power House If They Can Win There 3rd World Cup On Sunday That Will 100% Confirm That Can't Wait.
France is not the best team of the tournament but certain dynamics changed the game against Morocco. Moroccos tactical shift and Griezmans top performance (We know his subpar performance in Barcelona), and enjury of moroccos midfield?, experience and game management capabilities by french players all contributed to France win. However, Moroccos team is a respected and top performing team of the tournament.
France can always get to the semis and finals of tournaments with this mentality. Respectfully, I think ligue 1 is like a football academy for France national team. There are boys better than than first team of France who didn't get the opportunity.
Morocco played their worst against France unfortunately. The pressure of the final being next if they win affected the players and they didn't play as well as they played against the previous teams. Morocco offense also really struggled to break through France's defense and the players could use bulking and weight programs to put on weight so they can deal with bigger defensive players like French team
As I a Moroccan, France was simply tougher. Congratulations. We have nothing to criticize about our team, thanks for the achievement and we hope for more in future endeavors. I was not very hopeful of the match because France has 7 players of west african descent and those are our Kryptonite.
@GEliteG Yes Morocco was great and probably will grow better over time. Remember, my country France, was not much in world football before 1998 (so anytrhing is possible).
@@johnjeanb France have found the formula and will dominate football for the years to come. Take genetically varied kids (strong, agile, tactical...) and form them well in french academies and voila, you have a club-like national team. You perhaps have seen so much friendliness between french and Moroccan players because they played with them in academies, the coach himself, Boufal, Saiss...

Tired of these African comments. I’m African. France academies and footballing schools are what’s making these players. Had these guys been born in Africa they wouldn’t be half the players they are. The development in Europe is what makes these guys stars. FRANCE DIDNT FORCE THESE GUYS TO PLAY FOR THEM. THEY ALL CHOSE FRANCE OVER AFRICA. I wonder why that is?!?!
@@learninghub9232 if those Africans didn’t immigrate to France they wouldn’t be world champions either. It’s a benefit of two ways. Zidane wouldn’t have won anything if he played for Algeria. I’m African I can tell you first hand.
Why is this Moreno person (who has zero world cup experience) brought to nitpick on semifinalists Morocco? How can he say they never threatened, when they had at least two clear chances? (the overhead kick and the goal line clearance from France). ESPN need to do better in selecting their pundits.
Upamecano Absence I think was a blessing in disguise for France I always thought Konate was the better Option And it coincides with France first clean sheet
Absolutely!! They did not play as well as they should against England and Morocco, but persevered. All credit do Morocco and England who looked like they could've beaten France. Griezmann was their best player in almost every match. They came into the World Cup with 6 starters with significant injuries. All credit to France and Deschamps for getting to the final for the 4th time in the past 7 World Cups. I've followed and supported France since 1994 and except for the debacle of 2002, I'm so proud of all the French teams!! Bravo
@@Gundal66 of course, they play the best, and most entertaining football. Just giving France the credit they deserve. I’m part Portuguese and I’ll always support Portugal and Brazil.
Craig still salty hey? France getting lucky and scrapping by? This team is on a mission and play as such. They know what they are doing and are bossing their way to making History on Sunday! Allez Les Bleus!!!⭐️⭐️⭐️
Am I the only one who thinks England were overrated in the Quarter Finals? France was better. They barely played lol. England had chances but nothing looked dangerous. The penalty was their only shot. England posed no threat.
I'm french and not very honest but... the only chance of England was on penalty( thanks Lloris for that). In the game , they played very well, but the key of Deschamps and France is efficiency. Not the most beautiful game : the more efficient. In 2018, it was about 25 shots on target and 12 goals...! But yes, even in France we say to ourself that this "Griezmann" team has also luck, and success : " La chatte à DD ", a way to say that Didier DESCHAMPS is always in luck :) That didn't mean that we don't deserve this final : in my opinion, DESCHAMPS is the key (and he was player when France won his first world cup in 1998), more than every player, even Griezmann is probably our best "soldier" in this world cup ! (sorry for my english)
I totally agree the English pundits said England should have won because they played better but they never really created that many clear-cut chances in the box and the ones outside the box Hugo Loris saved with some ease. Morocco with that overhead kick which was saved brilliantly was better than any attempt by England. Plus Morroco had another goal attempt cleared off the line. It was the unnecessary penalties France gave away that gave England any chance. And also I am going to say this the English coach should have taken Kane off he was not affecting the game. Instead, he takes Saka off, the only player giving France problems when your a goal down to bring on an emotive jet-lagged player SMH
Konate is one of the best centre backs in the world. He was the best player for Liverpool in the CL final vs Real Madrid. He should start for Liverpool and France. Idk why the managers don't think the same. He doesn't make the mistakes Upmenicano makes.
So the very same people saying it was a penalty on Alvarez are saying it was not on Boufal :). In both cases ball moves away from attackers who are after that hitting into defender/goalman. And all this about "not so good France" sounds like a preparation to the situation that VAR will be turned off for them, too, when needed.
The way Morocco defended against the French first goal was ridiculous specially from Bonou. I don't understand that type of defending in the semi finals of a world cup considering how well they defended against Spain and Portugal. I think it was psychological and the weight of the moment on players, otherwise it was awful.
How is Argentina suppose to beat this French team? They're ruthless and highly effective. As much as I want Argentina to win and Messi lift the trophy, I fear it's gonna be heartbreak hotel again. I'm gonna 😢 like a baby 🍼. Being a fan of Argentinian football is emotional torture.

Not only 2x straight world champion at age 23 but also they’re best player and possibly the best player in the World Cup. Even in this game he didn’t score but was immediately involved with both goals
Morocco players tried to injure Mbappe. Dari committed so many fouls and wasn't booked. Idk why the refree was so biased. Morocco simply didn't have a striker and they can't score even though they were way better than Croatia who never looked like scoring.
So Greizman has been bad all season along with Barcelona where I hoped him to shine, but was everywhere fighting for every ball against Morocco where I didn't hope him to be good 🥴
Totally and utterly no penalty. The ball was cleanly and clearly won and the ball changed direction. Two players then came together. Simple. It is indeed a "stupid and embarrassing" question. I totally agree wid Craig. Question brings down level of intelligence of the programme.
Craig Burley is so bitter still crying over spilled milk from Scotlands exit in 98 World when Morocco destroyed them 3 0 😭 😭 😭 Of course they should debate if that was a penalty bet if it was Scotland the whole show would be centred around it.
Now I understand where all that grudge he's spewing is coming from I didn't know he was a Scottish. And it is ironic to see every one of those guests, including that sycophant amigo, totally agreeing that it was not a penalty.
Although he has scored goals, Jarrode should not start because he is pointless once France chose to defend. Every game France defend, once they go ahead.
pless tell these foot ball analizers to discuss in english. This is the world cup not their country league. There are many who do not understand your language
France play with the experience of a team that always looks in control. Yes they not at their best but you always sense they have the nouse to control things. People forget a fully fit Pogba, Kante, Kimpembe, Benzema, Lucas Hernandez, Nkuknu can make a difference of they had been available. They will need to really pick up their performance to beat Argentina though. Morocco didn't beat some of best teams by fluke so they were going to hard opponents no matter who they played.
