Sat in the Fratton end with a heavy heart knowing we were heading the other way. Always had alot of time for Norwich. Hopefully one day soon we'll have another league fixture 👍👍

Simeon Jackson and clutch goals, name a better combo

Everyone talks about Simeon Jackson scoring (Rightly so) but Foxes assist is probably my favourite pass in any Norwich game I've seen and hugely underrated. The technique to get both the elevation and curl into the most dangerous area he possible could is simply awesome. If you look really closely he scoops it first then follows through with the toe to get the curve. Beautiful! Our midfield during this season was amazingly strong and diverse!

Can't believe it's been 9 years. I remember watching the game by way of an awful stream. But there were just enough pixels to see Jackson's goal go in and the rest of the game is a bit of a blur (literally). What a time to be a Norwich City supporter. And what a team we had back then. Strange to think that most of them are retired now.

Trust Simeon Jackson to come in with a big goal he virtually single handedly dragged Gillingham to Wembley glory in the League 2 play offs in 2009 as he scored twice in the semi final against Rochdale and then scored a late winner in the final against Shrewsbury and he did it again here this time for Norwich. It was some turnaround for Jackson as he'd been at Gillingham the previous season when they went straight back down to League 2 thanks to their non-existent away form they failed to win a single game although Jackson himself could be absorbed of a lot of the blame as he scored 14 goals in the league and 17 overall in 09/10. This was a phenomenal achievement by Paul Lambert and they didn't expect it to happen there and then, Norwich thought that it was going to go down to the last game with just 1 point separating themselves and Cardiff, but Cardiff lost badly to Boro earlier in the day which opened the door for the canaries. In the process Paul Lambert became the first manager since Joe Royle at Manchester City to achieve back to back promotions from league 1/ Division 2 to the Premier League.
