Great video! In my opinion Gaijin should put it in rank 5 instead of rank 4 because it shoots the same HEAT ammo as the german M48 and the premium M47, which are both rank 5, plus you can't use it in your 6.7 lineup anymore.

Eh i mean tbh if you're playing Ger ground forces at 6.7 you're already going to be uptiered 90% of the time

I have my 251 in my 7.3 lineup, with the Kugel, Leo 1, Marder A1, BMP-1, the Stealth Dorito, and the Arado B. It was in my 6.7 (before the bump to 7.0), 7.3 and (before the Leo 1 dropped in BR) 7.7 lineups. It works in an uptier due to its speed...also, it would make a perfect French tank as it goes just in fast in reverse as it does forward... :P

Hardly any games at 6.7 anyway. Everything seems to be dragged to 7.3 now..

after it's moved up to 7.0, I haven't touched this thing once, sad...I only play 6.7 and below

I buy this with 90% off, when it was at 6.7 and it was super op, now at 7.0 its not that powerful but still one of my favorite vehicles, I can recomend it

Really can't say I'm a fan of this tank. It does okay as long as you can get into a good position, but thermals, rockets and ATGMs are going to be bane of your existence. Thermals especially, make most of what makes this tank good simply redundant.

I want to get tanks but I suck at tank battles and also premium tanks are expensive and they are hard to grind

I loved using the 251 in my 6.7 lineup but I’m kinda glad it’s moved up. It doesn’t ‘fit’ historically, which I know is a bit of a strange thing to say about WT, but I am most interested in WWII type play and the 251 stood out as a much more modern tank. It was impossible to not include it, due to how good it is, and now I have a reason not to :D.

Still worth it in 2023??

in 7.7 it’s hell it gets out paced by 8.7. Bradley’s without a stabilizer it’s trash. It’s my first tank I lead out. But they have nothing but light tanks.

I use the Ru-251 in my 6.7 lineup for Germany, I always get full uptier to 7.7 anyway with 6.7 Germany. At least this time I can fight back against the enemy and do something before a BMP fires a missile straight through my tigers frontal armour from across the map before I’ve even had a chance to move outside of my spawn zone on some maps.

Obviously the line up is screwed kinda like 6.0 but it was too low of an Br I mean it's basically a less armored but faster leopard with scouting and at 6.7 the gun was way too good especially when you got downtiered. In general I want to address that heat fs makes heavy tanks useless I mean they are good tanks but when facing heat fs you might as well could have used a light tank as armor is no matter for this round while having the disadvantage of an ApHe round that can't pen other heavys (Tiger 2 vs Is 3 for example(not that I'm saying u can't ki an is3 just that its way harder) which means u have the armor but u can't pen stuff that a light tank can which is in my opinion just stupid

i used to run this in lineup with my 6.7 germans, tiger 2 and jadtiger. at 7.0 I now run it with my leo1 and it still does very good. honestly even going up to 7.3 its only threat still remains tanks with stabs, but it doesn't see them that much more often at the higher be. although I bought it when GE were on discount so mine was much cheaper for me cause I also got a 10% discount on it from a battle trophy so I got this pretty cheap compared to the standard price. for the discount price, it is definitely worth it, but only if you're good and scouting/flanking playstyle like you said. if you're not good at flanking you're not gonna have a good time

The RU 251 is so good! Yesterday I got a nuke with it but sadly got shot down. It really is a mini leopard. The flank and Spank machine!

I am some one who sucks completely at War Thunder but has spent 350 British Pounds on the game. RU251 was one of my best buys. Because 1. Fast vehicle. 2. Decent Gun even at high BRs. 3. I use it for early cap, arty drop and scouting. Best answer to BMPs. 4. Low Profile. 5. Can be used at 9.0 BR aswell. 6. Compliments your Leopards. Cons 1. Bad Armor. Even SPAAs can kill it.

I think you are really on point when ut was in 6.7 it was a must buy (wich in itself is kinda sad that you need to spend golden eagle to have a decent line up) but now it is a good tabk but you can just not use it and it won't change your results
