Out of all the videos on this program I've seen on RU-vid, this series is by far the most informative and well put together! I'm looking into going to Full Sail and wanted to know more about the program (since the reviews on this school are so mixed) and from what I've heard is "you get out of it what you put into it" and you're showing me that's exactly right, but you're also showing that it's managable as well. It's a very big decision (and very pricey) to make and this helps a lot. Just want to say thank you for putting these together for us.
Hey dude. I’m starting at Full Sail in January and I’ve been watching all your videos. I just wanted to say thanks for these videos so I have an idea of what I can expect. I was just curious, did they completely get rid of 2D animation classes?
Thank you very much! These videos take a long while to make so I’m glad to hear they are helping you Yes they completely got rid of it. The program is now only 3D
Tetrad Art - The Art of Jacob Feazel Aw man that sucks! I was really excited for the 2D class but after seeing the stuff you made in this class I’m even more excited!
It's ok though, I took the 2D animation and it was alright it just mainly went through the 12 principles of animation you really didn't draw on paper with lightbox it was just digital art with ghosting. They teach you out of 24 frames per second, animating on 1's or 2's that can mean there is 12-24 drawings in 1 second of film. I wish they would have broken my 3DA class into 2 sections cause 3DA was a lot to take in in only one month. I felt a bit lost come portfolio 2. Get used to animating with your graph editor open it will help you a lot. You look like your having fun. Just wait till you get into portfolio 3 and you have to pick your discipline. AJ is awesome by the way! Portfolio 3 your discipline, choices are sites.google.com/view/project-and-portfolio-3/home?authuser=0 maybe the link will work. Make sure you get over a 79.5% in Portfolio 2 so you can get into Advanced Animation.
Thank you very much! I’m glad you like them! I can’t say for a fact but I believe they don’t because I think they want you to focus on one major at a time. I could be wrong but I think that’s how that works
nope, they don't. checked it out with a counselor myself. if u were to obtain two different degrees, u would have to do it separately, they don't want the student getting overwhelmed.
I'm always interested in how the replay of the lectures works with your degree. I am taking online classes from Full Sail for Video Game Design and the lectures are always completely uploaded to youtube so you didn't have to actually be there live.
Yep that’s how it worked for computer animation. I tried to do the live lectures but without the ability to pause and take notes it wasn’t doing me much good. I preferred the RU-vid archives.
They use programs like Maya, Zbrush, Substance Painter, Nuke, Syntheyes, Adobe Creative Cloud Programs I don’t know what other colleges one should look into. I saw Full Sail and went for it
I have to ask. I am not seeing a lot of work online from Full Sail. Are you able to learn how to character model? And are you able to learn good animation from them? I should be attending in Fall but I'm regretting it because what I AM seeing from full sail is very very very mediocre because nothing is on RU-vid
So. Does Full Sail only teach 3d computer animation? I got admitted and was looking through the courses and they mostly seem like 3d animation to me. I'm more interested in 2d animation.
Mostly 3D, yes. I don’t know if they have a specifically 2D program. They took away the one 2D class just a few months before I got to it and replaced it with 3D. That may be something you want to call the school about
Not much really. Just call the school and the advisors will just kinda get to know you, let you know what you’re in for in terms of classes, then go over payment plans. To my knowledge, they won’t turn anyone away. I just had a 3 hour phone call with an advisor and was on my way to figuring out when I can start my Full Sail Career. You do have to fill out multiple forms but it’s nothing bad
Full sail is so amazing that it seems too good to be true, but it’s very real! I will always recommend pursuing education here. As stated, lots of online forms and stuff for applying but it’s so worth it
At this point, I’d say anywhere from 20-30. Now, that is just the class I’m in. I don’t, however know how many people are in my graduating class and I’m not sure if I am able to find that information
