A fitness and car enthusiast. I review any and all types of vehicles. I plan to grow my channel as much as possible. Also post videos of my Supercharged Camaro SS on meth!
THank you for this super content ! I was thinking of getting a set of co's for my 5th gen 2ss, but after watching your vid, think I'm going to lean toward the Eibach set. Although Pedder's co's are still tempting for me... lol. I appreciate the back story of your old set and why you made the change. Even mentioning the diff bushings was a plus for me. I want the Poly/delrin combo for mine. Nothing better in my opinion to hear first hand from a real owner versus endless info with no actual application or street time. Thanks again, ..and I'm hitting that sub button !
Beautiful car, love the stance!! I have a 13 1LE and have been debating on which way to go to upgrade my suspension a bit, but still somewhat keep my ride quality...
Just picked up a 2010 2SS Im going full coilovers from Godspeed. I have their mono rs full body units on 3 cars already and they ride great. ( my G35 has had them on for 4 years now with ZERO issues) You need to dial them in for you to enjoy the ride. Great handling with smooth ride.
Congrats on the car, man. I hear you about the Coilovers. The AFE brand that I originally had on my SS were adjusted to the softest setting. It’s was a good ride for a few years but I guess one of them were faulty and I had bad luck. I only realized the ride was a lot smoother after switching to Eibach performance shocks and struts. You get used to the coilover type ride and forget what other suspension types feel like. Everyone has they’re own preferences though and I respect your build brother. Good luck.
Cool bro! Very nice setup. I agree about the whole coil over dilemma if you daily drive.......I have a similar Detroit Speed setup on my 5th gen I got from JDP motor sports (their trac spec package).....upgraded springs, sways, bushings all around, trailing arms, control arms, toe links, etc. I went with this because I was able to retain the factory magnetic ride. The Camaro is lowered about 1/5" but handles and rides amazing. Enjoy and good luck with your 5th gen.
Just the video I needed..I have eibach lowering springs and I love the ride. But I’m looking to really dial in the suspension with sway bars and struts as well as lighten up the rotating mass like wheels and brakes. I swapped in an iron block (about 100lb more than the ls3) and it’s just a bit nose heavy.
I have a 2011 camaro with the eiback pro kit and I don't see what people are talking about the street ride. I'm finding the ride quality on the street to be poor.
No, they didn’t. They also didn’t install the end links properly which ended up shredding off and hanging by a thread. I had a Chevy dealer fix it, which was a pain in the ass for them.
