I didn't mention anything about loadouts in this video because I already talked about why I don't like them in a prior video just a few days ago. But that is another thing I do not like about what we know in BO6 Zombies right now.
@@Xpertfusionnow I'm not going to say don't play zombies because that would be stupid but I would like to know why you don't like loadouts I've heard you say make the game too easy and because you couldn't start with a starter pistol but you can if you want it's not ashintashis. But if you want that you can. I don't think it was the load out I think it was the game and all the mechanics in it that made it too easy for instance I start with a ballistics knife in all my cold war zombie games and I rocked that until around 15th just long enough for me to pack a punch it so I can get the awesome pickup ability I hear that they're working on making the game much harder so that it would be harder to get around 100 maybe more bosses more enemy types thrown at you I think that will fix your Loadout problem
@@Xpertfusion I completely understand why u don’t like the load out system and want the starting pistols back but at the same time it makes sense why they’re there. A lot of ppl who complain about wanting starting pistols back doesn’t realize if u go for the mastery camoes for zombies it would take up so much time having to spin the box over and over just the get the gun u were looking for to grind so I think it’s fine that they kept in load outs specially for the camo grinders.
Make a separate playlist called classic mode where you start with a pistol, classic point system, no armor, no crafting, and no rarities ( every gun is blue raritie damage)
It's crazy how diverse the zombie community has been since really post BO3. We have too many casuals now that can't handle starting with a pistol and no armor etc, treyarch grew a new population of players in a bad way tbh
Honestly, I was thinking that they could just have a setting that allowed you to choose between custom loadout and classic pistol. Would be good for the old school players and the camo grinders. The other stuff is core mechanics to the game so I’m not sure they would change any of it.
@@MHA004 you must be mad to think it looks just like Cold War the graphics look so much better and yes there are elements of Cold War but it’s literally a mix of black ops 3 and Cold War so best of both worlds I think
There's so much good but too much cold war stuff for me to pull the trigger personally. The good: The gunplay looks so responsive and believable Graphics are absolutely gorgeous Easter egg handholding mode, makes it so i don't have to keep pausing the game while watching a RU-vid video to do the ee Phd flopper is flopping again!!! The map design is looking incredible More side easter eggs Set crew No more permanent upgrades The atmosphere The bosses The bad: Loadouts, never liked em outside of ww2 Weapon tiers alone make it feel like a different game Just the way the zombies move and spawn looks like it's going to play like a different game than cod zombies, maybe something closer to killing floor 2, honestly i think it looks great but it's not my preference Salvage, I hated salvage in cw, was really hoping we would go with the classic points again Armor, finding parts to build the shield felt satisfying and unique, the IX shield had a 30 round burst and a blade, the Gorod Krovi shield had fire, the SoE shield had a rocket boost, etc. armor is just so flavorless
I think because of the engine, Treyarch had to rework the spawns and stuff on the zombies, I think it's more akin to Infinite Warfare zombies spawning, kind of, since both games were made on the IW engine.
@@it2spooky4me79 Thanks for letting me know, that makes a lot of sense. I've been out of the loop since the middle of Cold War because zombies just wasn't what I wanted it to be anymore, I've just been playing bo1-bo3 for the past few years now, it's nice to hear a good explanation
@@BaldTorment yeah no problem, because of Activision, Treyarch were forced to move from the T9 engine, which was their engine they used for all Black Ops games, and then they had to change engine to help Sledgehammer with zombies on Vanguard, which is why that zombies was the worst we've ever seen, Treyarch didn't have enough time to fully comprehend the IW engine, and MWZ was them getting used to it, which leads us to now when they seem to have a good understanding of the engine. I know Activision wants all the CoDs to be linked with eachother, but sometimes it's at a cost.

Dalek got to round 43 first try on Liberty Falls today, at the COD Next event. It took him about 1 hr 10 mins including exploring the map. Not only does the map look extremely easy, it is massive (looks as big as Verdansk WZ map), feels hollow (areas are way too big, spread out and far apart), everything feels lazy: - PaP just requires buying a door, no knuckle cracking or sound effects. - No new wonder weapon. - New perk is useless after round 15. - HUD style/design looks like MP/WZ HUD - Too many ziplines. - Zombies spawn out of the ground everywhere, makes it feel like there are no set spawns, no hold out locations. - No starting room. - Level 1/2/3 Armor wall buys are a bad idea. - Replaced Carpenter power-up with "Max Armor" (no windows to repair....) - Only Wunderfizz has a jingle. - Dark Aether just requires a door buy and feels pointless. There are so many other things I noticed in 1 hr of gameplay.. Worst of all was that Dalek had nothing positive to say following reaching round 40+ first try. He was visibly trying to hide dissapointment. Keep in mind, this was supposedly 4 years of development... 4 YEARS !!!

My theory is that liberty falls will be Richtofen’s crew, and whatever the main quest is ends up causing the outbreak at terminus which is why the maps are at the same time.
I'm almost certain the HUD is still a WIP and that design we saw in the blog post is not final. Could also explain why they didn't show any of it in those 16 minutes of gameplay they showed, probably cause they haven't decided on a design yet, but then again that could've also been for immersion. But the one we saw just has a lot of stuff off about it. The currency text is miniscule and hard to read, one of the gobblegums has some weird placeholder-looking icon, and the gray background just seems out of place too. All those things tell me that maybe they're still refining it, I really hope that's the case. Otherwise, best case scenario would be that they eventually change it in a future update after launch.
Yeah I think it's a placeholder aswell since the Gobblegums icons are straight ripped out of bo3. The HUD uses the bo3 green stock option icon even thought the new icon is blue.
I miss watching people hunt for Easter egg's rather than be guided.... This is what gave content creators big big platforms because it literally involved the community.
The guided mode releases days or even weeks after the map comes out according to Treyarch. So Easter Egg hunting will still be a thing this year thankfully!
Can I be honest, I’ve been playing zombies for as along as you & I absolutely hate what they’ve done with zombies. Ever since Bo4. I still play bo2 & bo3 with randoms religiously. It’s a better time, the UI isn’t garbage, you can tell everything about the mode then was made with love. Nowadays they make zombies because the zombies community will complain if they don’t do so it’s a product they have to sell, not a mode they a dream for, a story to tell, emotions to put behind it. In a way the old zombies games feel like what it is to be a developer, you create, you become frustrated when your creation doesn’t work. You edit, & recreate all out of love for doing it, not because of how much you get paid to do so. P.s I’m a software developer so I know what I’m talking about when it comes to building & debugging.
Not to the point where you could change the visual style of it. It's just selecting different presets that change the layout, that's what they mean by fully customizable. You can't make it literally whatever you want though (not that I'd expect that). I just want the HUD to look better, that's all.
I really like the addition of the rewards for doing the main quest within the first few days, reminds me of destiny 2 contest raids which are the most fun you can have on that game
Pleasantly surprised I was expecting it to be slightly better than Cold War but with all the bo3 feature it might at least be as good as bo1 just with better Easter eggs
To me it honestly seems (based on the blog) that weapon kits are coming back from bo3 and bo4, and if that's the case that gives me a much, much higher want to use the mystery box and wallbuys, since they will be tuned to my liking! The only exception would be camo grinds, but after camo grinds are done, wallbuys and the box finally are viable and useful, if it is that the Zombie Builds are like the weapon kits from previous entries. To me this is a mostly good way to solve the loadout issue, of course without the original point and progression systems the starting loadout still kinda sucks, but at least one of the biggest issues is being addressed
The elements of the HUD are in very similar places as BO3 (besides the field upgrade and tactical/lethal) it's just that there's no stylistic HUD, which really sucks. On top of the weird spacing out between the perks and round count, the HUD is one of my main gripes about everything that got revealed.
ngl i hate the HUD in this game as a whole. it looks like cod mobile when playing multiplayer and it looks super cluttered in zombies. hopefully they take feed back from the leaks about the HUD game wide because it’s bad. i’d take cold war’s hud over what ive seen in the leaks and the zombies screenshot. like why do the gobblegums have white borders behind them (make them transparent or black) and why is Peck’s face in the middle of the screen 💀. and what he said about the perks is so true. it’s just bad and it’s not just zombies. i think they were trying to make it look older like the older cods and it ended up looking like the mobile game.
To answer your question about the "Legacy HUD" debacle, it's not actually based on any prior Zombies game but Black Ops 4 MP, thus the centered Field Upgrade and Tactical/Lethal on the sides of it. Marketing it the way they did is incorrect on their part.
regardless of all the (amazing) things they've shown, the best thing I get from this is that they are 100% listening to the feedback. During VG and MWZ it felt like we were completely severed from communication with Treyarch with them just doing their own thing. If it stays this way, zombies has a super bright future for all of us, casual and hardcore.

@@it2spooky4me79 Here is what they said: Each Perk, Ammo Mod, and Field Upgrade has a research path, accessed in the Pre-game Menus between Matches. Revelations you make during your research allow you to unlock the true power of each item, which take the form of Augments. A total of six Augments per item (three Minor, and three Major) are yours to uncover. A Minor Augment offers a limited advantage to the item, usually during use. A Major Augment offers a substantial advantage to the behavior of the item, usually during use. From the six researched Augments, you can imbue two of them (one Minor, one Major) to each Perk, Ammo Mod, and Field Upgrade. Augments are designed to create a deep progression path, as well as offering you the ability to delve into research that benefits your style of play. Experimenting with all the available Augments, learning how they interact with other Augments for Perks, Ammo Mods and Field Upgrades, and also how your fellow teammates are using their preferred set-ups, provides an incredible depth to the experience. Given that they are permeant
@@it2spooky4me79the way I interpreted it is that the upgrades is a permanent skill tree type thing going on that you can get all upgrades eventually but can only equip 1 major and 1 minor. I could be wrong but that’s how I understood it
@@it2spooky4me79Pretty sure they’re permanent upgrades but you can only choose two upgrades out of a few as a way to sort of personally customize your perks
personally I think if we need to have the loadouts & rarities system then they should at least do it so the only way you can upgrade your loadout weapon is through aether tools that only get dropped by elites when killed. Reason being cause you could then make it so that wall weapons can have there tiers upgraded at the wall chalk with points which would incentivise players to use wall weapons instead as it’s easier to go up the tiers faster & additionally you can use the box to gamble for a high tier weapon with maybe even offering a ‘high roller’ 3000 point option on the box that guarantees you a higher rarity weapon. this would then make your loadout weapon the longest road to upgrade which then balances the gameplay a lot better. Arsenal machine would then only be used for applying ammo mods. A second idea is just to make people start with a pistol but make a ‘reserve’ major augment for mule kick that lets you store a weapon into the machine like the fridge in tranzit and then in your next game you’ll automatically retrieve that as your third weapon upon purchase of the perk.
When speaking about the gums you didn’t say how you earn them in game now instead of a out of game system which is in my opinion the biggest change to the gum system
@@BadMoody420 you can’t customize it to look visually different in design though. As far as we know, you can just switch between a few different layouts, which simply just changes the position of the elements (or you can turn stuff off). But that doesn’t change the fact that the HUD elements are designed to be a bit visually bland at least based on those screenshots (and almost identical to MP)
I still don't understand why would anyone still talk about ''easter eggs'' in COD zombies in 2024, but I guess old habits die hard. Easter eggs were a thing in past, back in WAW, easter eggs were just small funny things or references to certain movies or other things, but when Der Riese was released on World at War, thats when Call of Duty Aether story became a thing, and of course earlier maps were implemented as part of story as well. Once easter eggs stopped being a thing and story started being a thing, story started to be told indirect ways in BO1, BO2 and BO3, Ascension was first proper indirect way of telling story with hidden steps. Only difference nowadays is that, Zombie maps in this new Dark Aether story has more of a direct form of story telling with telling what to do and where to go, honestly I prefer that more, but same time it wouldn't hurt either if they would mix little bit old school zombies story telling i.e without guidance and little bit of guidance, I guess that would work.
Finally expert I feel like nobody says this but I hate when they add dogs so tired of it. I don’t like killing dogs either it feels wrong. Super tired of mangler tho jeez
IDK that they use the things from mwz to make bo6 but i think maybe the other way around mwz was made using bo6 assets i mean you should have seen this coming i mean
Do we have any info or insight on the main zombies menu and leaderboards? Have they gone with a classic unique menu and leaderboards system like bo2/bo3 or gone with the default warzone menu screen for zombies?
Perk limit has got to be the one WORST idea they could possibly come up with ever in BO6. They said something along the lines of a "Vanguard perk" system coming. If so, then a limit or any limit is just plain awful for it. And even without it, Cold war did just fine with the perk progression. You COULD buy them all from the wunderfizz but it took a lot of points, it would just be a step backwards to have a cap on the perk limit now
Treyarch never said that and there's a perk limit in BO6. In fact there isn't one. You're mistaking it for the Augments system, which is using salvage for alterations on the perks and field upgrade, but its not a linearly progression system like Cold War or Vanguard.
@@Nazrat84 I was more or less adressing the whole "there should be a perk limit" comment. The agument system is diferent totally. And what i meant by vanguard is the system of buy perks in layers, every purchase of the same perk enhancing it. But atp that whole thing of that might just have been some """""leaks""""" that were just plain false so, yeah
So from the gameplay the zombies are still dropping salvage. and the guns still have rarity to them. So it’s gonna play like Cold War. Bro who is asking for this. I stopped paying Cold War zombies and went back to bo3 just because it’s simple. Like for real who likes this style of zombies with all the extra shit and armor
@@Loris71734 I’m just not that big on the multiplayer on cod games. So for me I’m paying 70$ dollars on a game I only play one mode on. And I suck a battle royals. Now if they had a option just to pay for the zombies I wouldn’t complain but if I gotta pay the same as everyone else. can we ( the people that like classic zombies) get a mode on the same maps without all the extra stuff. I’m not mad at it especially if other people obviously love it. I’m just tried of playing custom zombies maps on old engines. @@Loris71734 I wrote a response but RU-vid didn’t save it. I grew up on WAW zombies and been somewhat following the franchise since then. So my point of view is that I’m paying $70 for one game mode and obviously from your opinion I see that people like that Cold War play style but would it be hard for them to give us the same maps just with a classic style without salvage and rarity or armor or needing a million dollars to pack a punch or go back to points per bullet and not points per kill. I don’t wanna give up on cod. because I stop playing assassins creed for the same reason of them somewhat losing the plot. I’m tired of playing cod custom maps on the old bo3 engine. You don't seem to understand the concept of feedback. The point of videos like this (beyond just entertainment), is to give feedback. The developers WANT feedback, they ASK for feedback. I am not complaining just for fun, I am giving constructive criticism on things I PERSONALLY don't like about the mode. Saying "it's not for me" it hilariously wrong. I love Zombies. Sure, there's many mechanics about newer Zombies that I don't like, but what's wrong with me sharing that? I don't absolutely hate everything about newer Zombies. Asking for older mechanics to return should not be seen as this awful thing. If you've watched like any of my videos, then you would know that I've never expected Treyarch to make the game exclusively for me. Hence why I always offer alternative suggestions to things I do not like as a way to find a compromise with players who do like thing. If you love everything and have zero complaints, that's totally fine. But me making a video discussing things I don't like should not ruin the fun for you.
Why do you want restrictions?? BO6 philosophy is options and freedom of choice which I feel that most would rather have then the restricted gameplay systems of yesteryear which is also the reason we’re not doing pick 10 since treyarch mentioned that it goes against choice of freedom
Because having more options is ONLY a good thing if those options are BALANCED. And sometimes, they aren't. When discussing balance issues I have (whether its MP or Zombies), I am not saying we should get less options, I am saying these options need to be balanced. Also, sidenote, I'd argue pick 10 gives you WAYYY more freedom than the new Class systems ever could. Pick 10 was literally all about freedom. It just made sure there were trade-offs that kept it balanced. But you could literally design your class however you wanted.
I would rather have everything accessible than trade offs IMO. I get the argument but I still think this current system is much more appealing than past system
Zombies is ruin since bo4 I just play waw to bo3 zombies. I stopped playing multiplayer in bo1 and I just bought call of duty for zombies but they killed the game mode to make it "for everyone" zombies is not supposed to be for everyone I remember I had friends that dint like it because it was too scary for them. As a company it make sense to make the game for everyone. With zombies happened the same thing that happened to resident evil 5 and 6 the game became for everyone and the fan base absolutely hate it so thast why to everyone I see that like bo6 I get it but you should get us the OG that like waw to bo3 too because we were the ones that the game was ment for now is made for everyone except the OG players. So for the OGs our there if you dont have a PC get one because bo3 have more than 1000 custom maps that are great and also if you have a VR you can play vr zombies on contractors and Pavlov and as someone who jas Been playing zombies for more than 10 years when you play on VR zombies it feels like you are playing zombies again for the first time.
