Nicely done on the Surfshark plug, I'm always much more likely to watch promos when the sponsor gives the creator the ability to make the ad fun and tailored to the channel's style.
Yes that’s why we’d like to work with them more; they want to see good signup results from this ad, then will discuss doing more. So Shawn, (and whoever else is reading this 😉) please go sign up! We literally use it every day! (We refuse to plug products we don’t actually use and love.)
I love the vlogs although I never comment but I just had to say the way you guys promoted Surfskark was amazing and hilarious! Very creative! I loved it so much I watched it twice! 😂
What I loved most about this vid is the part when you all were walking back from the waterfall and Kate lagged behind to do put something in her bag and Jack automatically turned around and waited for her. Good man ❤
I like the fact that jack went and waited for his sister ,he didn't try and hurry her up he had patience to wait till she was ready to continue walking .It just says what sort of young man he has become.
Renée, your boat owners interviews with plans, ideas, coast and dreams was so good. Gives us land lubbers a real idea and a connection to the people who have grabbed their life and are living it. A marvellous segment. Lesh go !!!!!!!!
As an Australian kid we would always be swimming in summer. When the river was running full tilt the adults would just say, don't swim out too far. Now everyone is wrapped up in cotton wool. Great to see your kids go for it, builds up self confidence. Keep enjoying your travels.
I’ve been watching for about 3-4 weeks and I’ve became addicted. I’m 15 and live in the city so when I had the chance to go on a cruise I took it, because I’ve always LOVED being on the water and just seeing nature and something about these videos and this family makes me realize how great life can be if you just try. I’m so jealous everytime I watch your videos because my family fights a lot because there’s 8 of us in 1 house. So seeing these videos really just shows me what life (could) be like. Anyway sorry for all that, keep the videos up! It’s the only thing that mentally keeps me going
@@rhondalyn100 I try it’s just hard being young and not being able to get a good job and move out/get my own boat. I try to keep my head up through it all though. But thank you!
@@Urmadyoulostthearguement I grew up on a very similar situation. 6 people in one house with two bedrooms. Trust me just stick it out for now and try to see it as an experience that’s going to mold your life, and it’ll get better when you’re older. I moved out at 18 and have been living around the world since (I’m 29 now). I plan on buying a boat one day and living like this also. Trust your journey!
@@Takarathekoala yah that’s what I’ve been doing. I’ve learned from my family members actions over time and learned to mold my life and create a life I actually wanna be in. Thank you! Y’all are so nice on here
I was going to say the same. I’ve seen several promotions for surfshark on various type channels and they all seem scripted. This was by far the most original and entertaining. Renee definitely puts effort in production for this channel which is why I love watching. That and I get to live the sailing dream virtually.
It’s so funny how there’s a round of applause when someone surfaces from a jump; as if there’s almost an expectation that they might not.😮. We all do it, and it’s a great celebration to the jumper too I acknowledge.
Never thought about it like that! 😬 I think it’s more applauding their decision to finally overcome their fear and jump. God I hope I never experience someone not surfacing. 🙏🏼
The long intro was amazing! The falls, the other folks, and the fun! And that was the VERY FIRST TIME I was NOT bummed waiting for a sponsor plug to get over so I could view the rest of the video. So freaking creative!!! Here, take this - 🏆 It's well deserved for being so damned artist and for making it fun and funny! The intro and income questions from the others cruisers was very informative. I know that there is a bit of finances needed just to get a boat and then getting it away from the dock. Sailing was a lifelong dream that I was never able to achieve. But I've done a lot of researching and investigating on it. Cruising life isn't something young people can give up their rental apartment, quit their job(s), and think everything will be fine. Just like you all have said...it's like buying a house. Everyone wanting to live your lifestyle needs to have a financial plan that will make the dream work out! I've loved your channel's weekly drops for about 18 months maybe...? And right after I watched that first video I spend two weeks binge watch to catch up! I feel like I'm an extended part of the Zatara family.
Literally the first time I've seen a paid endorsement fits seamlessly in the production nice job. With all of these companies being endorsed by every single sailing channel that's a remarkable feat.
The commercial was rad. Well done. What a great idea for an episode. I imagine that has to be one of the most common questions y'all get. It was neat to hear other families answers.
I have had the fortune to follow Sailing Zatara from day one. Businessman, watch collector and pilot (privat) and more. A lot in common except for children. Only one daughter, Olivia. You have inspired me to leave Terra Firma and purchase a sailboat for many of the same reasons you identify in this vid. Thank you. Fair wind and safe harbours.
A story that went viral the other day is that its cheaper to live on a cruise ship than in a house in the US or UK. Thats because the basic cost of living in the UK for example was suddenly higher than the cheapest offers from some cruise lines, at roughly 30k per year. The cost of living on a sail boat could be
I am laughing my butt off over the surf shark commercial! I hope they give you a bonus for this one! I love watching you guys, Keith is my spirit animal.❤ thanks for the great information and the content
Mom is so good narrating and interviewing. Though not a dream of mine to sail I am more aware to go after what it is I want. Dad must save thousands doing so much himself and not having others come aboard. Last, far from least, Jack is going to be an excellent husband and dad. He stayed back with Kate the entire time she was delayed. He is the one who nefer shys from expressing his affection to family members. His bondcwith Finn is obvious. Kudos Jack! 🤗Y'all be safe and Blessed.
🥰Love hearing other’s perspective on how/why they’re doing this and at what stage in their lives.🥰 Do it while you’re young and still fit enough to do it!! Had a friend who always wanted to do a world cruise and before she knew it life snuck up on her😢 she said “I want to go but no one I know can walk well enough to go with me! 😢😢😢Don’t wait!! DO IT!! While you’re physically able!!🥰
Rather than live on a boat (although I do very much enjoy watching you guys here, and have for a couple of years now), my wife and I enjoy living and traveling via jet in business class, staying in medium class hotels, and admiring the oceans from a distance (I spent 24 years in the Navy, so ocean sailing has lost its appeal). Two times while in the Navy my ship (a guided missile destroyer) at the time held 'swim call'. We were over the Marianas Trench, with 33,000 feet of water below us. Far too many critters in water like that. Our big excitement now is exploring Kyoto, snow skiing Mt. Cook in NZ, golf in Ireland, eating Mexican food in Hong Kong and then coming back home and ignoring politics the best we can until the next trip. Cheers!
Wow! I love it! Yes i now understand your long distance relationship with the sea. Makes sense. Keith and I will probably retire in an RV for 6 mos and boat for the other 6 mos… but what really is “retirement?!”
@@SailingZatara retirement is rediscovering how you (and your spouse) fit in the adventure/financial/medically able worlds, make a plan, then work the plan. When making the plan, plan on the plan falling apart, and then kick in good ole Plan B. :)
Renee, I love when you do the hour long 'boat life' vids. I miss the times when i was a kid sailing with my neighbor, or after i was enlisted in the USN... the times when i was off duty and relaxing by the stern of the ship at night when i watched the phosphorus glow of our wake, and the millions of stars on a moonless night. It was so magical. Still binge watching your entire YT channel. I wish i could join y'all on your adventures. God bless ❤🙏🏼🙏🏼
Oh my gosh! The commercial for the sponsor was hilarious! Super Bowl quality on that one! That was great! Enjoyed seeing how others do the lifestyle. I enjoy the lifestyle just watching you guys. Every week! Take care and be safe!
That Surfshark plug was AWESOME!! What a great video. I went to Sailing Aquarius Around the World and subscribed. They seem to be a great couple. YOU guys on the other hand are AWESOME!!!!! I had unsubscribed for a while but...I'm BAAACK!! Renee, your cinematography and editing skills are really great
If you think home schooling is a bad idea, consider the water fall segment of this video. There was; Science, Botany and Nature Physical Education Geography And a cultural awareness of spending a day with people from 4+ countries. It's a blessing and something no school in any Texas suburb could ever provide.
Support Sailing Project Atticus. This couple became first time parents in December and their baby has been diagnosed with Phace syndrome. 400 Phace known syndrome known. Their daughter has a missing artery to the brain which could cause a problem in the future. Both emotional and financial support are needed
Thank you! That was just an amazing video. You hit a winner with that presentation. I have the drive to hit the water today, but it's the navigation that is holding me back. I haven't just yet found the learning tools to prepare myself. Who knows, 😅one day we may be tied off at the same fuel dock.. Keep sending the videos..
Looked liked all the kids were having a blast jumping from the cliff! Sure was beautiful up there!! Great review on Surfshark Renee! Was really nice meeting the other boating families for sure!! Thanks for sharing!! ❣❤❤❤❤❤❤❣
This is my dream. It seems so far off, and at this point nothing but the stuff of a dream. But I live vicariously through your channel and greatly appreciate all that y’all do!
I think it’s really neat that you and the whole family get to travel like you do. The whole family has worked very hard. Saved your money, spent it the proper way. And now you’re reaping the benefits lots of love great hugs and prayers to your family grandma Tampa
Renee - the video work you have been doing is just amazing! Love the weekly updates on the Z-Crew! Keith - love how you just keep it real. Thank you both for sharing!
Your videos have gotten really good. I'm not sure how I ended up here...lol...being from West Texas and all, with no water in sight, but your videos are a wonderful escape. Thanks for sharing your travels.
Loved this episode Renee! Great information from your friends on how to fund this lifestyle. Maybe one day I will make it to life on the blue or meet a nice guy with his own boat 😊
Thanks Renee, the shots a nd editing you do on video adds and makes your families travels and adventures so worth watching. Beautiful job and thanks again.
We were quite impressed with your video for Surfshark. So much that we’ll be signing on to their VPN along with writing to them about the quality of your advertisement for them. Very Impressive Zatara!!! #godblessu #godblessus #godblessusa🇺🇸
My3rd vid!. I sailed a lot in the 70s& 80s out of NYC,CT,FLA,Bahamas & I miss it. So I’m living vicariously thru RU-vid, retracing my steps around the world as a former wanderer. You’ve got a terrific family & great attitude. Seeing other cultures & countries is such a great way to raise intelligent Human Beings to be open-minded & compassionate. Good job! *loved the waterfall leaping. I’ve done that. Then, swinging out on a rope the first time, I didn’t let go & was dragged back along the bank on the rocks! 2nd time I swung way out & let go. Only needed 2learn that lesson ONCE🙄🤣
Hey guys, i love cliff jumping just as much as these guys do! However one thing i never thought would happen was dislocating my shoulder when I landed. It wasnt even that high maybe 5m? I had my arm out like a chicken wing and it pooped right out. Please ensure whenever youre doing these big jumps to always tuck or even cross your arms before impact! I was out cruising myself and was 6 hours from help. The coast guard had to rescue me, and it was 6 hours before it was back in place and about 8 months of rehab.
Renee, thank you for the video, its interesting on other peoples aspect on how they can afford to sail around the world or just part of sailing that they do. Very informative you did a great job on bringing us the truth on cost and affordability. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for this video. Love seeing all the families especially fellow south Africans out there just putting all their eggs in their dream and going for it or wangling it as Mark said 🎉🎉🎉 . It's our next move for sure. Cheers from Bianca in Fethiye ( we met )
Renee, your always beautiful but this video you went from beautiful to a full blown smoke show. You go girl. Keith don’t be offended, it’s a compliment.😂😂 love the journey and your family is great, keep the great content coming.
Loved the interview with Ken and Z I’ve been following them from the beginning as well!! Great video Renee as always and also loved the Surf Shark skit!
Okay Renee! I'll bite. Out of all the channels I have seen ( seen 1 or 2) This channel has no issue with watching until the end. Thank you for thanking us & thank you for bringing us along. What a special thing! Through your lens I have seen things I never have before! I love your family for it. Be blessed.
Kieth , some tips on processing seafood . Cray fish Snap the antenna off about halfway up and insert in the craysbutas far as it will go. Pull ❤it out and the barbs will do the rest. This eans you can cut the tail out and leave it whole. Fish Simply cut the gills out and let it bleed out It better for taste as well as it removes blood for the flesh Good luck
Really enjoyed this one Renee. I enjoyed seeing all the other cruisers from all over that was exciting. I enjoyed the waterfalls to me. You guys are like little mermaids and mermen. It’s a whole different concept seeing you guys hike lol. Beautiful video work. Really well done and well edited. Thank you. Sending love as always. 💜🤗🫶🪻🇺🇸
Great video this week, I really enjoyed it. Your Surfshark commercial was superb. Most companies pay over a million dollars the get commercials of that quality. Thanks for taking me along to the waterfall, At 86 all of my travels are vicarious, but never the lest, still enjoyable. I have learned much about what the worlds people are like by being a part of your RU-vid crew. Thank you.
Love to see everyone still enjoying what you are doing for so long. Thank you for sharing your journey. You have always been an inspiration to me. I hope to anchor next to you someday and let it float away. 😊
One more thing about cray fish On the bottom legs , in male crays there a little spurs about 1 inch long These are its gonads , twist clockwise and pull . The flesh comes out and is about 3 inch’s long This is a islander secret and will put led in your pencil Renee will thank me Good luck Matt
"Don't worry, they did check the depth before..." Oh, now you tell us! Thank you for listening to my rant last year, Renee'. I'm sure Jack checked the depth below those cliffs then, too. I often post to inform others of mistakes which I survived. Better to learn through my mistakes and the mistakes of others than to experience them yourselves. 🙂
