Very informative and helpful video. Being a planner I need a reminder not to go overboard with purchases until I know I need it. Thank you. I think it's a process going full time and hopefully by the time we go full time we can decide not to have a storage unit but that process takes time.

Just found your channel and I enjoyed you two and your honesty. Had to tell you that in the first segment of this video I saw “Pant” in the background. In the first video that I’d seen of your channel the topic of anxiety had come up. I got tickled thinking that the “Pant” sign was a humorous effort to deflect tension and remind yourselves to take a deep breath or two sometimes. Nope. I later saw the “Pantry” door. Ah well. Might be fun to cover up the “ry” sometime to lighten things up!

Hello. I use T-Mobile as well. I have used it for almost 2 years all across the country. There have been few places that it has not worked. For a while I plugged it into my truck to use while driving on my phone and that worked awesome too. As for Awnings..being from SE Idaho where the wind always blows, I learned early on in life awnings are not used often. So it is the least used thing on my rig. haha. Thanks for sharing. Safe Travels.
@liketheresnotomorrow
@liketheresnotomorrow 2 месяца назад
For sure. Seems like we have been using the awnings less and less. I try when we are in hot and sunny places as that sun really heats up my desk area, which is in the dinette slide. If there is any breeze, we just deal. It’s not worth the risk. lol

Never heard abt tank vents being cut too short. But I've noticed if wind is from certain direction while I'm rinsing black tank the smell will be blown into bath vent. I'm sorry to say Alliance, but that's a terrible location for tank valve handles. At my age it would take 4 minutes just to stand up.
@liketheresnotomorrow

We’re in our 50’s and struggle to get to those valves. lol Some of the other fifth wheels are much better located. I think it’s just the valors.

Great advice. We’ve been putting together our collection of “must haves” in prep for starting out in June. I’m pretty impressed that I’ve avoided a lot of purchases that I could have made. Still, it’s a hefty price tag for just the must haves. Take care and see you on the road.
@liketheresnotomorrow

That’s awesome. I think real must haves are a TPMS, Garmin or trucker type gps that will make sure you are in safe routes, get weighed to make sure you are in safe ranges, a good surge protector (ask us how we know;-(

In California you won’t find a no ethanol station. All you have to do is add Sta-Bil 360 to the gas. Available at any Walmart. I’ve got an old generator with 5 year old gas and it still starts just fine. It’s cheap too.

Great video with some good tips. I appreciate the way you are concise and get to the point. We are part timers and getting ready to head out and will definitely check our vents and look into T-mobile. One question though so you do not have a grill at all? We ran into the same issues with our grill last year where it was too Bulky to get out and put away. We still carry it along but I keep thinking there has to be a better one out there.
@liketheresnotomorrow

Thanks so much! We only have the blackstone. I do sorta miss a gas grill but we haven’t wanted to add on as of yet. I know there are some compact smoker type grills that are almost like a small briefcase. I’d look into something like that.

You can also purchase small engine fuel additives specifically for ethanol gas. It is also a stabilizer which is needed when fuel is going to sit for long periods of time. Keeps it from getting water from condensation in the fuel. Small engines have a tough time burning that off.

Hope you don’t mind sharing a couple thoughts. The gate on your black tank dump can get messed up if for some reason there is TP at the valve when you attempt to close it. And, are you getting everything out? I use a flushking on ours. The gate valve is opened once and you can flush out the tank until it comes out clear with no TP before closing it. The tank cleaning guys formula works well I’m sure. The reason sensors don’t work in most cases is that hard water along with other chemicals we naturally put in the tank form struvite. I’m sure he told you this. It’s like soft rock. The Calgon softens the hard water and stops the formation. Softened water will also remove it, slowly. If you cannot find Calgon, you can substitute Borax. A half cup dissolved in warm water is what I use. You can also substitute Dawn or other detergent with Pinesol. Pinesol is 8.7% pine oil and 91.3% detergent. If you like that smell, keep on using it. I use clothes washer pods for less foam. I decided to sub your channel. Please don’t let the “Try my product free” companies take you over. It causes your channel to become an infomercial. Best wishes from a part time camper!
@liketheresnotomorrow
@liketheresnotomorrow 4 месяца назад
All really great info. Appreciate it. We actually don’t use tissue in the tanks much anymore. lol boondocking we find that it extends our between dump time considerably. The borax/dawn/degreaser was what we were using when we switched to the Kleen Tank recipe. I think they both work well. I appreciate your feedback (this is Darlene btw). I agree about the product plugs. It’s a tangled web when you’re trying to use a channel to make money but I 100% know what you’re saying. lol turns me off too. Thanks for the sub. We will do our best to bring you good content. Keep sharing your thoughts. Good stuff!

I kept my sticks and bricks when I went on the road so I would have a fallback position. That allowed me to store stuff in my garage while I was using my house as an Airbnb. Currently I am back there and going through the things I need to get rid of, so that I can sell the house. My decision is no storage unit, be ruthless, and let stuff go. Anything that I don’t want to lose the memory of, I will take a picture of, and let the physical thing go.

Very nice video. A couple of ebike questions. Which bikes did you choose? I see the hitch rack, so I assume you don’t carry those inside the garage.
@liketheresnotomorrow
@liketheresnotomorrow 4 месяца назад
Funny you ask...lol. So, we have RadRover 6 Fat tire offroad ebikes (by Rad Ebikes). LOVE them... but they are really heavy. We found out the hard way because we used to have the bike rack on the back of the toy hauler. It did not come with a hitch so we had someone weld it on. The frame in that area is not very thick, and basically, the weight broke the hitch weld. We might have it reinforced and replaced... but for now... we have racks in the garage and strap them down inside. Ya live and learn.

It’s the home 5g WiFi with the black tower router. We had to go through a few addresses to get one that worked. We used our escapees mailing address. When we went to a store they seemed to not care that we were moving around with it. Not sure how that will be received online. www.t-mobile.com/home-internet?&cmpid=HEIS_PB_P_24HINT40PV_43700066069349391_691840252505&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAAD79WuWtpCrkWWLBxzt8qtEO1xvbs&gclid=CjwKCAiAopuvBhBCEiwAm8jaMZ5Q4iPbWGXtG9bVgi7HonnXyWU9CyhWgrelsVo4XLMJW3WMg2-sMRoChLEQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

I'm currently using my sister's address in FL but I was in TN when I learned about T-Mobile's gateway, when I searched for my sister's address on T-Mobile's website, it said it wasn't available at that address but I went to a T-Mobile store in TN anyways, told them that I wanted the gateway but it says it wasn't available for my address, they said "it's not a problem" they gave me Gateway, I installed in TN, traveled down to GA, AL and back to FL and have always worked without any issues. Just go to any T-Mobile store and ask for the 5G Wi-Fi Gateway.

Yes. We actually rented the house for the first year. After our tenant left we couldn’t get the same $ for it again. For us, the numbers didn’t make it worth it. We sold (over asking in 2 days) and invested the house money until we are ready to buy again. That money is growing too! Woot
