I passed on my 6th attempt on Saturday (9th March 2019) so if you feel like your not getting anywhere and feel like you're never gonna pass don't give up!!
I’m so happy to announce that I passed my driving test this week! First time pass too! Chris I want to say a big THANK YOU for all your helpful videos. I will continue to watch your videos as my journey to learn how to drive independently continues. You are awesome! 😊
passed my test first time on Wednesday with 6 minors. with 40-50 hours of lessons with no private practice. My tips : exaggerate it when you look at the mirrors don’t overthink it, you will feel at ease as soon as you’re out the test centre. 40 mins will FLY BY. I’d recommend having 2 hour lessons prior to your test. Don’t forget to breathe! Think wisely about having someone in the back of the car with you! Wish you all the best x
GeneralBoo make it obvious you’re looking at the mirrors, move your head and not just your eyes. In my lessons my instructor drilled it into me to make it obvious. I’ve had mates failed because of mirrors and not making it obvious. Of course in real life driving just moving your eyes is enough but on the test you gotta move your whole head. It will just ensure you don’t fail or get minors because of lack of mirror checks.
I had my driving test this afternoon. I was so nervous and anxious that the test time seemed like 2 min. The examiner was very kind and talked to me the during the whole test and I ended up the test with only 1 small fault and he made my day saying it was a lovely driving.
Roundabout rules: Turning left: signal left on approach Going ahead: no signal on approach, then signal left as you pass the first exit Turning right: Signal right on approach then signal left as you pass the third exit (note: doesn't apply when it has 3 or more lanes) (also don't rely on signals as they may be misleading)
Chris, thank you for your superb videos. I’m a middle-aged learner - I passed my test yesterday on the fifth attempt with five minors. I will continue watching and learning from you!
Hi! Thanks for your nice comment. Big congratulations to you on passing your driving test. Appreciate you finding the videos. Keep safe and hope you'll enjoy driving :)
I passed today with 1 minor, i'm well happy lool. My minor was for pulling up in front of someones drive way but its all good, I passed in the end haha. Your videos helped me out a lot.
Passed my test first time, today, with 2 minors. I had a great instructor, but these videos were also really helpful in reducing my anxiety and building my confidence to deal with situations before experiencing them on the road.
Did my first mock yesterday.. got 13 minors!! Got my actual test on Tuesday morning.. these video’s so far are calming me down and giving me valuable insight.. thanks Chris, this is a great tool to have at my disposal.❤️👌🏾
Passed my driving test on 14th September with 12 driving faults. Your videos helped me and I still watch them to this day as I find them very informative. Will buy you a virtual coffee as soon as i get paid lol.
Really nice driving, the only thing that really bothered me was that he never went over third gear. He must have been on a lot of 30mph roads, and using third gear with high revs (throughout the whole drive) should be constant driving faults in my opinion.
@@GazzaDontCare ot depends what engine you have and what car you have. Don't think about what speed you should change gears, but how many revs you need, for example if you going up a hill on a 1.2 petrol now way you are going to at 1500 revs but you need more power. Or if you are going down a hill you can change gear to a higher one than usual unless you want to control your speed then I would change to a lower gear to avoid using the brakes, this will not use more fuel most cars will shut off the fuel so don't worry about that. My first car was a 1.9 tdi(diesel) Audi a3, not a particularly heavy car and due to it being a diesel it had a lot of torque. I could idle up a hill in that. I don't know why instructors teach you what speeds the change gear because it really doesn't make you a good driver. You should understand your car and how it works, it really does help.
25:36 I fail to see what on earth he was supposed to do to avoid that fault? There was a gap, but it was before he saw the vehicle. Then, when he saw it, there were no gaps to pull into it. Like...you can't win in these scenarios.
@@Ravage017 Just seen that. Yea he could have done. I'm wondering if he reversed to then get behind that gap so the car would pull in, would he have got the fault. Like I live in a street more narrow than that one, it's a pain. The only alternatives are if you're lucky to have a gap to pull into, otherwise you have to reverse a 100 yards. Nobody's fault, that's just the way it is.
My driving test is tomorrow morning, please wish me good luck! Am really nervous and excited at the same time. I’ll let you guys know if I passed or not!!
Few tips I'd say is 1) make sure you are prepared. Take the lessons necessary. If you try short cut you may fail. If you are making too many mistakes in lessons that's an indication to your level 2) be confident. This impresses examiner as they know they cam rely on you to make decisions 3) correct any mistakes. Making faults is normal. Every driver even us instructors make it. But the difference is we correct it straight away. For example if you forget to indicate. Realise and indicate asap. 4)mirrors mirrors mirrors. Examiners look at you to make sure you check 5) plan ahead. Means you can react safely to the situation Theres a few tips guys
Hey, I’ve got my test in about three weeks time and I was so nervous and now after watching this, I have literally calmed down so much! So thanks a lot!!! Seriously
@@jmyps8801 Unless they went more than 30mph, 4th would be pointless. I haven't watched yet, but correct me if I'm wrong as I haven't watched the full video.
I have got theory coming up on 10th of Dec I got so many more lessons to go .. I feel nervous watching this but I'm sure that will pass after more lesson..... I hope lol
I watched this video on Tuesday, the day of my test. I got the indicator question and I passed with 8 minors and had the parallel park as my manevoure , thanks for these videos it helped me greatly !
Hi Guys, I had my divring test 2 days ago, and I PASS!! On the 2nd time, so I just wanted to give a little message of encouragement. Keep your observation spot on no matter what- keep calm - breath in an out and project yourself that you will pas no matter what situation you will be in! After failing my first test - I felt very discourage but I kept going, now I feel that I wasn't ready when I failed... as I was extremely nervous. So you can do it, breath! Now that Im driving I keep 2 things in mind, observation and go slow. Also the video here were very helpful to my journey !!! Thank you Chris!!!
passed my test last friday after the 3rd attempt with 5 minors, must say these videos really helped my confidence, they are almost like free lessons ! make sure you watch them all
Passed my test first time with 6 minors and your videos helped so much. Drive before was so bad I thought I was set to fail but the actual test was alright and it felt like a lesson with a different instructor (just one who couldn't say much haha). Most of my minors were because of going too slow but I'm so relieved it's done.
I passed my test first time yesterday!! Thanks to my instructor and also to your channel! All the videos have helped me so much. Some tips for those wanting to do their test soon: -have a good nights rest -be super observant and don’t rush things -the 40 mins go by super fast if you normally have 2 hour driving lessons -talk to the examiner, they’re still people and they are just there to see if you’re a safe driver or not and it also helps you feel at ease
Love these videos. They were invaluable for preparing for my test. I passed first time with 6 minors earlier this month! Have you/will you ever consider making any videos for advice on what to do when you finally do pass your test? To be totally honest it's just as nerve-racking and intimidating getting a first car as it was on my first lesson and doing my driving test! Thanks, and keep up the good work. :)
Had a mock test and got 2 serious faults and three minors. I'm actually a pretty good driver according to my instructor but my nerves got the better of me. Got my real test next week. So scared.
When setting off, he doesn’t check over his left shoulder as someone could be crossing the road behind you or approaching the side of your car where your blind spot is. Tbh my driving instructor would fail him on that as safety is first.
Passed my test first time today with 3 minor faults! I was so so nervous on the days leading up to my test, but I was able to keep the nerves under control on the day and the test really did fly by quickly. Thank you for your helpful videos!
Thank you so much these videos are a great help! I passed my test today with two minors and these videos helped me to relieve my stress and to believe in my driving ability.
Thanks for the video, it has shown me how much easier it is driving outside of west London where I am based. This route looks easy, no large spiral roundabouts, no impatient abusive drivers to put him off (had 3 today in my lesson alone), no duel carriageways, quiet roads for the most parts with barely any traffic, no people running in front of him, few zebra crossings and he was given the easiest manoeuvre to do. It's no wonder the average pass rate in london is 33%
I've been a licensed driver since 2002. Driving in London requires serious nads. I've done it occasionally - even Marble Arch, survived that :) - but generally refrain from doing so.
Can some1 tell me I might be wrong he was in a 40 in 3rd and 30 I 3rd all the time is that inproper gear changing very poor driving I think but the bloke never picked up on that y
Got my test in an hour, videos like these help so much especially with nerves. I've had 22 hours of lessons and I've been driving on a provisional every other day since early November (my test centre was booked up for nearly 3 months!). Will post my results later :)
Might be a bit late to respond to you but you shouldn't have to say that. Move your head upwards towards the mirrors and the examiner will see it. They are watching your every move so they can't miss it.
It's hard to control the car on a hill, by only using the clutch and gas and it's hard to do reverse into a car park and making sure that the car is straight
I’m so happy I passed my test , second time doing the test, past with 6 faults! I passed in Wanstead, difficult roundabouts and junctions, lots of stop and starts. I thought I failed when I did a pull up in front of a house that said no parking but I was happy to see it was only a minor fault. I can’t tell you how good it feels to finally pass... these videos helped so much. Thank you Travis xx
I'm taking my test at goodmayes and man I'm so nervous, haven't yet booked it but I need some pointers.. like I get so scared when I'm in let's say third or any gear above the first and I need to make a sharp turn I struggle to get into gear on time (knowing that I need to get into first gear).. and same on roundabouts.. Could you give me some advice as I really need it, my instructor is telling me to book my test now but I'm so hesitant at the moment. Oh and congrats on passing, second times the charm :)
I only just started taking lessons. I am 41. Should have done it 20 years earlier. I’ve done 6 lessons so far….another 44 to go. 😩 And when I’ll pass I can’t afford a car. Frustrating.
@world driving I have my test in one week IA hopefully I pass wish me luck 😁 I’ve been watching your videos since I started learning and they are great 👍🏼
Thank you so much for these videos - I had an instructor although these really helped settle my nerves in the run up to my test and ended up passing today first time, with just 2 minors! Thank you 🙏🏻
Passed my test 2 years ago and i still enjoy watching your videos! However I wish I could also see how he is handling the steering wheel like your previous videos :-)
