This feels like a regular pod harness for paragliding.
Exempt this one can be equipped with a small engine to make take-off in the flat lands possible.
That does not turn it into a paramotor. It has no bulky solid metal frame, no metal bars under the arms of the pilot. It does not have that upward sitting position like paramotors do.
This is a true paragliding harness.
Thus the take-off procedure is different from a paramotor and obviously different from mountain or winch launch. This video shows the complete uncut process.
By no means it is our intention to substitute proper training. To fly the SCOUT Zero paragliding and paramotor training is advised.

We hope the SCOUT Zero will allow many pilots to do more paragliding.
- less forecast checking
- lees traveling
- less trying and failing
- more paragliding = anywhere, anytime and in any wind direction

i feel this needs electric start and no clutch to stop the prop from windmilling when the engine is off. and the electric start will also make it much easier to restart a cooled down engine after a long session of thermaling. am i wrong? 🤔

You are not wrong but only marginally right. The final solution for windmilling are folding blades (working on it). This Engine is very easy to start so the benefit of electric is marginal in this. There are other benefits of electric but overall there gas engine is a winner for me for now.

@@SCOUTaviation oh i forgot its an atom80. yeah those are super easy to start. and i didnt mean electric motor but electric starter for the atom80. i just build an electric paramotor and finished the first flight so i like electric more but thats not what i meant. i remember from my vittorazzi that it was very hard to start after it cooled down. a button to crank the engine over a bit longer to suck gasoline back up than you can with pullstart would make it easier to fire up. you cant reach the bulb to pump gasoline back into the carburator right? what if you thermal 2 hours or more? and yes folding props would be of course the best solution. i just finished your video with the variable pitched prop. awesome stuff!
