I've got the model right below this one (same size tub) and it does just fine with smaller laundry loads. The normal cycle with turbo wash and an extra rinse is only 35 minutes, and does surprisingly well. At the golf course we have to regularly wash 10-20 towels at once (not always full sized bath towels) and it does a good job. Our gross end of day clothes always come out clean. Where it struggles is with light weight fabrics, like synthetic gym clothes. The permanent press cycle does okay with them, but the normal cycle does not.
Really lovely video my friend, loved seeing the whole cycle. Hope we can see more full cycles from this machine. I understand exactly what you said at the end of the video. The balancing on mine is sometimes a pain and mine has the Centum system too. I feel the bigger the machine, the more balancing issues can occur. Saying that though, mine washes amazing and I love it. Thank you.
It's not even full yet. I'll be doing maybe already the first week of my Lg washing machine with a similar video with 15 bath towels and something more . It has a 58 liter 8kg drum. And i overloaded it (normal Eu machines) Worth a look! Oh, thanks btw :)
It's like any good machine. Take care of it and it will take care of you. I think this was for demonstration purposes only but I was thinking of the equipment operator slamming an excavator bucket down on the concrete to bust it up. It will break it, but it also tears up your machine. Don't do that to my machine, I want it to last.
Thanks for this and your prior video on the gigantic WM9000HVA 5.2 cu. ft. washer. Interested in seeing a video with a King or California King comforter (if they fit). I'd buy this or the wow that thing is gigantic WM9500HKA 5.8 cu ft. as a second washer for large bulky loads. Thinking the huge LG's would be handy and I havn't seen any used commercial 20-25 pound soft mount washers plus those usually have gravity vs pump drains. My 2017 SQ TL works great for almost all my bulky oversized are done at the laundromat but I'd like a second machine so I can do them at home.
I have 2 machines now. My trusty old Speed Queen AWN432 and the one I currently purchased. The Whirlpool WFW6620HW 4.5 cu.ft front loader. At least I can wash my bigger bulkier things with no problem now. 4.5 is plenty big for my needs. Actually maybe too much. Great washer though.
Should the Tide pods be put into the detergent dispenser? by putting them in the washer drum, a lot of the detergent got rinsed out after 12 minutes, didn't it? That was just a pre wash for the first fill, wasn't it?
Tide pods go into the wash drum it even says so or used to say so on the back of thr pods container. It even said so in some washer manuals the detergant dispenser is for liquid and powder ditergants only pods need the wash water in the drum to dissolve correctly.
I actually would fill this machine up regularly i do aloms 20 loads a week with my speed queen i usally do 2 - 3 loads of towls i alos mix whites with the towls when can i probably do wash a about 16 towls a week. Then i have cleaning towls dog towls and bath mats i like to fill my machine up so i spend less time in the laundry room. I have a 3.4 cubic ft washer a 5.0 might be to big for me but i dony want to buy another washer then relize its to small again. I also wash a lot of blankets and dog beds. Speed queen is a great washer but honestly its to small for me.
Love these videos. Honestly, once the wash was done and you opened it up, ALL I could see was that black spot of dirt on the towel in the back, lol. That is almost a deal breaker for me - that after an 1 hour and 20 minutes, there is still specs of *any* kind of dirt or debris in the stuff being washed.
Hey can you help me. I am considering a front load washer dryer set. Currently i have a top loader my issue is i have a left swing dryer placed on the left of my washer. The issue the washer i want and can afford is a left swing door with a right swing dryer the dryer isnt an issue but the washer will now have to sit to the left of my dryer which means the washer hoses have to be at least 5 ft to reach the water hook ups. The water hook ups are to the righr of my washer instead of behind my washer the dryer vent is also to the right of nybwasher more towards the front of washer. The washer and dryer was intended to sit up agains that wall but because of design errors they don't fit that way.id shoot a photo if i could
@Isaac Joby John that would help as the washer sits to the left of the dryer. I cant just move them either our dryer has a dryer box so it can be pushed up against the wall for clearance issues so the dryer must sit where its at. I do a lot of laundry I also want short cycles most of the laundry isnt soiled enough to need to wash for an hour. I also want true warm and hot washes when selected. Whirlpool top loaders suck but their other machines seem okay but most of my stuff from them is older. I have a old top load washer and matching dryer at our business for washing towels it's a maytag direct drive. Then at home I have a whirlpool dishwasher quite partner 1. I then have an 80s jennair stove range. And a 2017 whirlpool over the range microwave. I have a 12 year old whirlpool cabrio dryer it used to match the washer which I hated I went back to my old direct drive until a speedqueen replaced it. I have however loved the steam dryer. I havent had to many issues with whirlpools stuff I just dont like there washers.
Looks like a nice machine, but with a large load like that it took for ever to get into the spin cycle. Who needs a machine with that much capacity. I would have liked to see a really dirty towel in that load to see if it got clean, that would be a test to try, now the test would be to dry all those towels in the matching dryer, 3 hours to do a load of laundry, wow! I will stick to my. Old Dd whirlpool, it would have done the job in 2 loads, in way less time. Good job on the test, thanks.
A washer this size would be a game changer for someone like me, I have 6 kids. I would much prefer doing laundry once a week but I have go run 3 smaller loads to get things clean compared to what something like this could run in one load. My thinking is an hour for 3 loads of laundry isn't bad lol and it's all done at once. You do make a good point with drying though!
Dougc3157 old washing machines just use timers. They don’t know what type of load is it it and they don’t know when the clothing itself is fully cleaned. Computer washers do. Computer washers clean better.
If you do whites, please, please don't put cold water on. I want to see what happens when you wash whites with hot water, not cold. Edit: Also, use warm water. Its ok if the glass fogs up.
@John Texas it is modulated. Its kind of a joke its like only 90 degrees. I guess thats hot today. But I want his whites to be hot. I don't give a fuck if it fogs up. I want to see performance with hot on whites. Not cold and then show us that the socks aren't white because of cold water.
I sold appliances for almost 8 years. I bought an LG front load and I was shocked how little water it used. All your clothes was splashed around the same nasty dirty water. You need lots of water to clean your clothes. I returned the washer back to Lowes. I bought a commercial grade Maytag (Model# MVWP575GW) top load washer that will fill the water to the top of the tub, or if you used the sensing setting, it will fill it about half way. This washer comes with a 5 YEAR manufacturer warranty!! Stay away for these HE washers, is my best advice.
Shrimp Tale's ill stick to using the commercial Speed Queen model 0231606-2 front load washer. those washers actually fill the drum up to halfway and they actually tumble the clothes around the way a dryer does and not to mention they are built to not use any kind of boot between the door and the drum itself the only downside about the washer is that 1. it is very very very expensive 2. it automatically determines the water temperature based on what cycles you select so when using the normal cycle it will only permit hot water so basically it offers no user input temperature controls and the wash times are 15 minutes but its better than the Speed Queen HE front loaders
@Isaac Joby John Run several rinse and spin cycles after your clothes are washed. Do it several times and you will see suds are still in your clothes each time. You can do up to 3 extra rinse cycles with each load. After I did those 3 "extra" rinse cycles, I still had suds afther doing more rinse/spin cycles.
I'm starting to think that a modern front loader is a waste of money plus i really don't like that stupid melody that machine played after it was done washing
@@brigitas9176 I was so against front loaders for the longest time. Now after having one since June of this year, I can say that I now prefer the fl to top load washing. Even with a regular/normal cycle set at default to just under an hour, the machine is still quick because I can dry the first load quickly because of the spin drying. I can get through laundry day quicker with the much larger capacity and the fact it uses very little resources to get the job done. I'm a believer now.
@@patcola7335 I'm glad you appreciate fl washer. I love mine too, but I grew up with front loaders. When I saw top loader for the first time, I asked what this machine is used for :D I love doing laundry and my washer. Mine is doing good size load in 45-55 minutes on normal cycle. Sanitize cycle takes 1:35h. I'm just worried once my machine brakes I will not find new machine with similar features, like hand washing cycle is a must for me. How do you wash your sweaters, I think your machine doesn't have wool cycle ? I love cashmere sweaters and never had any problems washing them on wool cycle, but I see wool cycle is missing on new models.
@@brigitas9176 I still like top loaders but I'm very satisfied with my front loader. I don't have a lot of sweaters but I would just wash something like those on the regular cycle. The delicate cycle on my machine I believe does longer pauses between tumbles. I think I only used it once or twice. I'll put it this way. If this washer didn't have a recirculation pump I would bring it back or rather would never had bought it to begin with. These machines are very stingy with water. There is only a small puddle in the bottom of the drum but it has thoroughly saturated my biggest and bulkiest loads so far. No complaints as far as cleaning goes. This washer even got out some set in stains. I pretreated and ran the sanitize cycle.
