Full Wedding Breakdown / Desmond Dennis + Destinee / Sony a7SIII and Sony a7III

Many know Desmond and Destinee's wedding from the Viral video we filmed of Desmond's singing performance during the reception.
This video is their full wedding film and I breakdown clip by clip what we used to film. I also had to match the Sony a7III with the Sony a7SIII footage.

Some of you have pointed out a lot of grain/noise in some of the shots. This is correct. The reason was we botched exposure settings on SLOG3. Filmed between 3200 and 10000 iso was mistake #1. And not overexposing +1.7-2 stops was mistake #2. I now know to jump to 12800+ and skipping 3200-10000 iso entirely as well as always over exposing. The footage issues were user error and not sony a7siii or slog3. I highly recommend always filming with slog3 in all conditions

Excellent work! I loved the color and overall tone, only mid-way through did I realize you used both a7 and a7s. Otherwise, you would have been a damn magician. Anyway, I really like the spirit of the couple, family, and friends you showcased in this beautiful piece. Well done, no matter what circumstances you encountered.

Whoa i just discovered Your channel, a lot of interesting stuff right here, i am also wedding filmmaker, as i can see You got plenty of A7SIII already, i have one plus A7SII, do You have any sweet spot between A7SIII and A7III to color match them? (as i can see from previous videos You don't have or didn't used it with A7sII?) A7SIII colors are so much better but they are kinda much different too..

Hey. I just shoot a7III HLG3 default everything. Turn contrast -100 and saturation 70 in post and apply the same color adjustments I would on a7siii. Close enough for cutaway shots as you can see in this video

Slog 3 is too grainy in shadow, that's why I'm so worried about using it at low light conditions. But beautiful works bro

But now the past recent films I've shot and have not edited yet, we no longer have noise/grain issues because we figured out to not use iso 3200-10000 in SLOG3 and we make sure to expose 1.7-2 stop all times. It's not SLOG3 issue we just didn't know what we were doing when filming this wedding

Yo Vu. Excellent work as always ofc. Just one thing: couldn't help but notice some substantial amount of noise in the shadows of some of the interior shots. What iso's where they shot at mostly? any idea?

@@nVuFilms ah fair enough. Same's totally gonna happen to me the first 10 times. Shooting indoors with VNDs will be so weird.

@@joe_y. u will never need it . You always have to overexpose slog3 1.5 to 2 stops. I think we not only were over 3200 iso but we also underexposed
