Finished making a new intake for the built 89!
This custom polished intake features individual velocity stacks to help better the air curve into the heads. And yes, this is actually beneficial for a turbo application as well. The velocity stack at the end of a ported/polished runner is the preferred design. Anyhow...
For the throttle body, I have an aftermarket billet 80mm Q45 throttle body. This allowed me to retain the cruise control as well!
The Z definitely drives different! First off, there is a noticeable sound difference. With my equal length exhaust manifolds, this intake made the the notes more choppy and clean. It sounds so nice!
For the driving feel, the whole intake makes the throttle response snappy, it's amazing. It also feels like the boost pull is much quicker. It feels like it builds boost a tad faster!
Overall, upgrading from the old school gutted Maxima front entry intake that had a 60mm throttle to this new log intake with a larger throttle body is night and different.
And the engine bay looks so much cleaner too, more modern.
