This is exactly how these trucks should come from the factory. Here in the states the EPA should be required to pay for all repairs needed on these trucks because of these emission systems, they should also have to pay for the lost wages of people that can't continue to work (like hotshot truckers, truckers in general) when their truck sits in a shop for weeks waiting for emission parts. If anyone actually thinks about all the extra manufacturing and transportation of def and the amount of trash produced from the empty cardboard and plastic containers, there is just no way it's better for the environment.
I have a 2020 Ram 2500 6.7 with 24000 miles on it that is running in Regen more than it's running out of Regen and it's 95 % highway driving, been to 2 dealers and 4 service calls and was told it's running the way it's suppose to I say BS!! The last time it went 115 miles no gen then 169 miles regen>> Yelp>>and NO Help in Site ):
Not only that but when you go full delete you’re fuel efficiency goes up. It’s amazing how bass ackwards the epa operates. I love I. Oklahoma so we have no state inspections what do ever, not even a smog check
@@jamesorr2832 lot of dealership mechanic and techs don't even fully understand the way the systems really work or it's symptoms. Took mine to 4 different shops. And a thousand in diagnostic fees. Only to find out it was a bad connection to Def. Pump.
Hello my name is Roger. Good job to take care of the wiring. Most young mechanics don't take care of every detail. You should dyno test see the modification from factory. I've been a mechanic since 1987
Just finished on my 2021 3500 HO and I couldn’t be happier. Zero smoke. Driveability is spectacular. Hardest and most frustrating part was unhooking the factory harnesses as well as trying to get the new bypass nipple pressed into the stand pipe. The muffler is the way to go with the 5 inch pipes. Sounds amazing around town and is nearly stock quiet on the highway at anything below 2000 rpm’s. Will be adding a universal diesel catalytic converter to help with the raw diesel smell. I watched your videos over and over to make sure I didn’t miss anything. Thank you! 👍🏻👍🏻
As your friendly next door North Dakota neighbor I'm gonna pay you a visit next summer when my warranty is up. Just to talk about taxes and stuff of course.
I deleted my truck @ 85K miles with a modest bump in HP tune now it run, sounds and smells like a diesel. 4” exhaust turbo back with a muffler sounds great.
Tip: Get a coolant test tool like snap on or matco. Keep it on air with it pulling a vacuum (keep a bucket by the hose), you can pull off the egr and have no mess. Works great.
I deleted my 2018 Ram 2500 with 9k on it and and added a fass and studded the motor. Also added a deep trans pan, trans cooler block delete, and a trans case brace. I live in a free state and my truck thanks me every time I crank her up.
Testing in my state are visual emissions so a lot of people delete and gut the dpf and resi about a 3” hole just enough to get it to breathe but not enough to leave it hollow and weld the cooler shut everything stays plugged in no check engine no problem
If the emissions system worked reliably most people wouldn't care about deleting, but the systems are awful and unreliable. I spent 4k in parts and every month to 2 months the emissions light would come on and the limiter would kick in. GM mechanic told me the way they are trained is to do a 13 step process to repair and can be very expensive and never ending. His said the way to really fix it is to sell it and get a pre 2011. F'in sad for a 90k truck new.
Yes this is 💯 This dodge has 4000km on it and had already been back to the dealer 2 times for emission issues. Each time the truck was down for 2 weeks. It spent more time at the dealer then with the owner
It's out an rage! Our city's are shooting galleries, sometimes 8 or 10 shot in a weekend, but the government is more concerned about what comes out my tail pipe!
I deleted my tercel with a dynomax thrush turbo muffler that has woody the woodpecker as the mascot right on the box. Actually did make 5 + hp and smoother at imaginary redline since it doesn't have a tach lol
I love my 05 Dodge 3500 4x4 6 speed manual and manual 4x4 selector long bed dullay and the best thing no deft fluid and that’s winner Winner chicken dinner and I bought this new so nobody has messed with it !
Being an intelligent, independent person with common sense is pretty much frowned upon in many areas here in the states. Maybe Canada is not behind but just learning from our mistakes.
Yeah no, we're just behind on it. Trudeau keeps on taxing us for the ''carbon tax'' so it fucks the farmers and big truckers and most canadians on everything, Then he is secretive and has 100 scandals. I don't think almost ANY politician has my/our best intrest at heart. Trudeau surely doesnt and he needs to go, but the 14 so million snowflake liberals in Toronto will most likely keep him in whenever there is another election. Mind you, Canada as a whole has maybe 30 million people. So 14m living in ontario/toronto doesn't help. Let alone quebec. Even NB is iffy.
The county I live in in the states requires you to pass emission tests to get re-registration, but some counties next door don’t require that, so some people just register their vehicles in that county. They have a friend or uncle or cousin or something in that county so they can use their address.
Awesome vid! Started the exhaust delete journey on my 18' RAM 3500 (doing 5" race pipe turbo-back) and struggling with finding info on the different electrical connectors and how to properly disconnect them. Any help is appreciated!
In CT, USA I took my 2003 6L Powerstroke to emissions testing in 2012! I had full delete head studs, SCT. Tuning, straight pipe 4” turbo back, Airdog 2, nothing crazy but the truck passed emissions with flying colors. All in the tuning.
@@original72canuck I will try to find the emissions report copy. I did sell the data logger with the truck so I do not have any of the specific tuning parameters. I did run emissions on my 04 around the same time all bone stock at the same testing facility by the same testing mechanic and the tuned deleted 03 had better emissions than a fully functioning factory emissions 6.0 bone stock! With flying colors is a figure of speech meaning “the state emissions requirements were well under the maximum allowance for said emissions”. Seriously!?!?
Pretty sure In CT they only do a snap idle test for these years which is just a smoke opacity test. The obd stuff wasn't really standardized or required at this point so they don't plug it in like the new stuff. I had to emissions test my 7.3 IDI more than once before it aged out. The allowed amount for my year was super generous and I was never anywhere close.
Make sure to tighten the Allen head plug on the rear blocker plate Lol I didn’t and mine blew out 🤣 I plugged it with a bolt from my handy dandy bolt bin
I will have to show my dad this cause he rebuilds trucks in his spare time and he just got a 5th gen a few weeks ago it was not damaged to bad and it’s fixed now and he used to have a 3rd gen and it sounded like that and I know he misses it so
Sounds good. Wish I had the money to do this just afraid of something going wrong that factory warranty could have covered it but want if I do this. How much did it cost
Bro thank you SOOO MUCH!!! AWESOME CONTENT DUDE!!! THATS MY DREAM TRUCK 2021 RAM DELETED 😁😁🙌🏼👏🏼 KEEP IT COMING DUDE🔥🔥🔥we can't let the government push that emissions crap/control us!! 🤘🤘
In the states, it’s a coin flip on if your truck requires emissions. I’m sure your lawyer team said not to do it but out west on the Hopi reservations it’s fair game.
I have 6 plastic jugs in the back of my 2020 the only bonus I found was I can stand behind the truck and hook the trailer up but miss the sound of the deleted truck
As Hardway Performance told me the shift on the fly tunes are junk. They only change the fuel and are not real different stage tunes. The only way to get 5 actual tunes is to reflash the ECU each time. EZLynk will store 5 actual tunes and you will reflash each time using a cell phone app. Many ways to skin a cat I guess. I hear efi live is good. I don’t like having to flash for each tune but they are very good tunes and put some serious power down and clean too. No black smoke. To each is own. Nice video 👍🏼
I did a full delete with a modified stock tune on my 17. Got 10 more mpg on average over stock. Can’t even tell it’s deleted other than a tiny puff of darker smoke right when I first accelerate but even under light to full acceleration it doesn’t smoke.
This is simply wrong. You would never get that kind of mileage increase by a tune, delete. The most, I have ever heard, seen was around 4. Either way, It is illegal in the states, and reason, why I didn’t bother buying a 07 and up. I don’t where you are coming up with a 10 mpg increase lol. That is just nuts.
@@calebniederhofer6529 I wouldn't say over double I mean I myself have driven deleted Cummins that get damn near 25 which is 4-5 mpg gain although I've heard stock people getting as high as 23 so if that was the case it would only be a 20 mpg gain on the ones I've driven I myself have a 7.3 powerstroke leveled with 35s and I usually get around 17 and on highway 19 which people thing that's high for my setup
I worked at a shop that did that kind of stuff. It still happened but i think we got some insider type guy saying like ''slow down'' with it because they're gonna start cracking down. Not sure if its been done yet but. Some guys just throw a tune ect and expect all the gains. Exhaust and tune helps some, quite a bit, but actual mods help more. For reliability yeah get rid of that junk. That and EGR on those diesels. Can make them do all this junk and are useless.
Question: I deleted the EGR in my 2017 Ram and installed a programmer and the truck ran great. Had lots of power. I few weeks later, I removed the exhaust and now it seems to have lost power, especially when towing. I can change the programming, but I'm puzzled why I lost power after deleting the DPF and DEF.
This is why older trucks value is going up. You can do anything to them. And if your old truck is in great condition just put a newer motor from a 2021 it can be done
i’m in ontario what’s a good hand held tuner for the 19-21 cummins and if the next government brings emissions test back can you put it back to stock just for the etest then rip it all out again
I'm in Maryland with no emission testing but is it impossible to get the parts in the US? those part numbers couldn't even be brought up on the FLO PRO site
I live in the States and my Ecodiesel is Deleted....You have to obtain a Directors Certificate from the Emmisions place and it's only good for 1 year....
