Well.. since SLi is basically dead now, there isn't much point to overdoing GPU configurations. it's almost exclusively better to go with one monolithic GPU than it is to get two lesser cards and try to tie them together with CrossFire or SLi. DX12 EMA seems a bit more promising for the future, though.. And besides, CPUs commonly bottleneck before the GPU.

There's one little problem with this. It's not the editing or the RGB overkill (I love it) but the pipes... They are ugly AF, aren't parallel to each other, have kinks and aren't lined up with the edges of the hardware.

It's builds like this that make me want to be a part of this community. The hardware you guys get to work with is amazing. I have always been into computers but never been able to actually get a decent build together. Working on finding that exact 1080 to go with my 4790k in a z97s. Ram is only 1600 so that needs upgraded as well.

I was so inspired by these fittings, that I learned a lot about electronic engineering and made a RGB Digital to Analog converter, so I could control each fitting separately via software. The first gen fittings lacked SW control and all connected to the same manual controller.

no ne sponsored doesn’t ownership unless specifically stated. As in the items are then loaned for which most purpose that they build a custom pc and the. Send back for sponsors to sell. If bought, then that in itself is bought and owned for whatever the use and/or purpose may be. All sponsored items are not owned by said sponsored participant. And also using 2 directs in argument is a it douchie. Then again it’s even more hilarious when it still doesn’t prove you’re right.

I ended up putting my 560 rads with the multiple 1/4 ports on top instead of on bottom, so that way I can loosen one my fittings on the rads to let air flow take place during draining. I also have my drain fittings towards the bottom of the case next to the pumps. Works great for the draining process since air is getting in from highest point of loop and draining at the lowest part.

I know the feel for the TT rgb fitting's cables. Almost 2 years ago I decided to add them in my loop, and after a few days struggling with them, I've managed to completely hide them from the front side, so if you look at the build you can't even see them now :D. I'm talking of kinda 12 fittings :S

Personally I like fully RGB fans like those from Corsair paired with RGB blocks for CPU and GPU but with plain black sexy fittings and clear coolant and having black and chrome and/or silver components elsewhere with sleeved cabling and BTW the RGB NEEDS to be individually addressable and be able to have onboard storage somewhere to control it

People hated the anti RGB build because it was poorly done with no payoff. LTT videos like that usually have a "so crazy it might just work" feeling, but at the risk of sounding harsh that one was just so lifeless and ultimately a waste of time.

Agree! I'm a plumber and I am not impressed with the pipes in this build. could looked amazing with straight lines and some extra symmetrical bends at the right places. also as you said the cables and the pipes totally squared would made this look absolute premium. Now it's cool but no skill is shown with piping and cables in my opinion..

You just hit the nail on the head, I honestly love the idea of a high end mono themed non RGB build as it looks way more professional on your desk, then some crazy flashing beast, but not one that was done in a lazy, and 1/2 ass way that won't even boot to the BIOS/IUEFI screen.

Matthew Berg Yeah that's what they get for slapping together a lazy ass build, and trying to cover it black paint, and gunk for quick clickbate views instead of a sensible build of something like covering the power supply in black carbon fiber wrap, and going with run of the mill black fans, and as much black and gray as they could find without painting it all crazy.

I made a very similar build using the same case and cooler setup with a threadripper and Gskill RGB ram modules, though I installed 128 GB. I also used Phanteks in cooling my 1080 Ti. I like how Linux used RGB tubing lights, whereas I opted for Thermaltake C-Pro compression fittings instead. I used a 960 Pro and two 960 EVO M.2 SSDs. Thermaltake and some other companies wouldn't ship to Japan, so I had to source half my parts from Tsukumo in Akihabara which ran the cost up quite a bit. Since too many parts needed custom profiles at PCPartspicker and everything was in yen, I didn't upload it though maybe I should? Last performance PC I built was about a decade ago which I upgraded over the years with a Xeon and SSDs, so this should last for a while. Definitely my favorite build- it's quite the eyecatcher as well as a workhorse! Thanks for the post Linus!
