Fun fact: Although on TV 📺, you typically hear the Judge/Jury's decision right after the Lawyers give their closing arguments, in my real lawyering life, it doesn’t always work like that. Depending on the particular court's rules, sometimes we finish trial and then have to wait MONTHS before we get the court's decision 😳.
In this case, my client's parenting time was minimal, and the other parent repeatedly interfered with his visitation. So we filed a Request to change custody, and after more than a year and a lengthy trial, the Request was granted! 😁
My clients trust me to fight for the most important aspects of their lives, which naturally applies pressure because even when I've done my best work, I just never know what the court will decide...People don't realize that I be soooooo nervous y'all. 😅
No matter how long I've been doing this, I STILL get butterflies. I still get super excited, and sometimes I even shed a lil' thug tear of joy or two 😂😂.
