Fun FAQ Friday is a series I do on my channel where every Friday I answer your most Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) about the products I use that I love in my kitchen and around my home. Today I am focusing on my Kitchenaid Sifter + Scale attachment that I use on my Kitchenaid Proline 7 stand mixer.

After burning up a cheaper ($50) stand mixer and 3 ($20) hand mixers in a year, I broke down and got Kitchen Aid 11 yrs ago. 4 yrs ago after a house fire (was in the laundry room but the kitchen had massive water, smoke and roof damage and we lost virtually everything in the kitchen), my husband asks "What is the number 1 thing you HAVE to replace in the kitchen besides the cast iron?", My response was 'My Kitchen Aid'. He asked are you sure? my response was 'CINNAMON ROLLS', he goes ok that's the first thing getting replaced LOL. He loves my mom's cinnamon rolls, but she kneads hers by hand and I cant anymore because of my Fibro. So he knew, replace it or no rolls.

My goodness. I was first introduced to this by this video. So I knew what it was, then by some miracle, I found one for $11 from a BB&B that was closing and it was a display. I have used mine so much! Wedding cakes, breads, any baking items. Plus powdered sugar for frosting etc. It has been wonderful!

You do the best reviews!!! You explain how things work so that a "normal" person can understand. Sometimes instructions can be confusing. I have never seen this attachment before, what a great idea! Kitchenaid definitely needs to hire you!!! ❤️

Best demo ever. I finally got my KitchenAid 6qt Pro and I love her. I love to bake and I'm going to get this for Christmas. Opted for the ice cream maker first. Well, went and found it on QVC marked down from $149.99 (KitchenAid s lowest price) to $85.99 and bought it. Didn't hurt that I had a $15 off coupon. I'll let you know how I like it once I receive it and use it. I've got arthritis too and I can't stand long. Figure this will get me back in the game.

I have this and LOVE it. I bake all the time and it has been a game changer. I love that i can weigh out all my dry ingredients together in the cup start the sifter and walk away and work on other things while my KA is doing the work for me.

I bought one and love it. I vacuum seal flour in jars, so it gets lumpy and must be sifted. And I have British recipes so measuring by weight is a must. A great little gadget. Not cheap but worth it if you bake etc

I just got this from my husband for Christmas. Its only the two of us now, but I still bake bread and desserts just in smaller portions. Thanks for this demo...I never knew this existed. Back in my younger days I would have purchased this in a heart beat. I still have my KA which I love, but being alone I do not bake as much anymore. Wow, this is so cool! Didn't even know this existed, loving that it weighs and sifts, to me that is just the bomb. I'm a KA gal too and like you my RA doesn't like sifting. My late hubby would have gotten this for me had we known about it. I used to bake and cook all the time, but not as much now so not a need for me right now. I purchased this a couple days ago and was impressed with the results of my bread making. Your demos have been very helpful! Thank you! I discovered the improvement of bread results just by sifting the flour first. This attachment makes the process quicker and most convenient! By the way, your bread recipe is the best!!

I hadn't heard of this attachment, but it sounds like something I would like to have. Same here with arthritis. I'm all for anything that makes life easier. I didn't even realize this was available till I saw your recent SD starter video. I watched some videos on QVC and went ahead and ordered. Mine should be here early next week from your Amazon. I don't bake at all.....except for making bread. And I have always weighed ingredients. I LOVE the idea that dry ingredients will be sifted. I think that's brilliant. And, I'm a gadget queen. Thanks for the info. PS I made pizza dough tonight with day 7 of my excess starter. It was good!

Great video. I'm happy to know that this piece of equipment will work on any kitchen aid mixer. I usually sift my flour when I buy it with a large strainer before placing the flour in my freezer or refrigerator. Thanks for the demo.

Ooh, exciting! Just got one for Christmas and I didn’t really know about it before. I’ve been baking in metric weight for a couple of years now (Cupcake Jemma, Entertaining With Beth and Brian Lagerstrom all give measurements in grams on YT and Google converts very easily) and we’re on a weekly homemade pizza trend now. Happy holidays and will have to poke around your channel and subscribe! Nicely demonstrated.

I especially liked the video on canning ground beef, I never knew you could jar it up.but you better believe I will be doing that to.its amazing how you present yourself in the videos. Would you consider making a video on bread and butter pickles? I have yet to find one on RU-vid, please think about it.im a loyal subscriber because I enjoy learning and listening to the way you speak. I'm 70 years old I can and cook and I'm almost done writing all your recipes. This year I'm planning on canning 6 cases of tomatoes and canning 5 hams I have in my freezer. the first video I watched was seeing you make jelly,from juicy juice,and since then I have made so much jelly.thanks again for your videos and don't ever stop I have learned so much from you.

I might get one of those someday. The cool Kitchenaid attachment I do have is a spiralizer/peeler/corer rig. It works like an apple peeler and corer but it has a bunch of different blades to do all kinds of neat things like spiral slicing a potato, pinning the ends together and deep frying it. Saturday night I'm gonna make a sourdough pizza, so stand by for that. :)

I have it now for my 7QT I must admit even though I sifted everything anyway I find the slow folding in of the flour helps a massive amount on cakes and bread, I use my machine once sometimes 3 times a day so it's useful for me as a stay at home dad.
