@@dustinhiett9594 Thanks for the tips. I saw it hanging from the ceiling at hobby town, it has a os40, servos, tank, no reciever and crusty monokote..I re covered the fuse, the wing is being refinished..sky raider 2 for $ 65..not bad.
I've got 3 that have been sitting around for 20 years but I had the engines oiled and wrapped up! Hopefully they don't fall apart when I get them back out to the field!
Nice, pretty plane you have,I was trying to see what plane you have looks alot like the one I'm building now, hobbico 40 maybe.or avistar .happy flying.
@@dustinhiett9594 to me the way your plane fly's smooth and out line of the tail and nose wings looks like a hobbico hobbystar be the little brother to hobbystar 60 sweet planes.thanks
@@dustinhiett9594 yes I think so to,I'm scratch building one I have a good running os46la I'm building the fuselodge with balsa to keep it light ,I have wings from tiger 3 sport.should have same airfoil as the plane like yours.im hopeing to have that part done this weekend.ive Ben flying flat bottom wing planes.i think this set up when done will fly like the avistar.
Glow fuel actually does have Nitromethane in the mixture. It major component is Methanol. and of course Oil as well. and this Nitro component is why I was calling this "fun with Nitro" and or a nitro engine.
@@dustinhiett9594 yes you are correct that glow fuel has a small percentage of nitro methane 5-15% for most glow engine applications for sport flying. But calling it nitro engine would be the same as me calling my cars engine a octane engine and that I use octane fuel in it. I know people call it nitro fuel and nitro engine, because they think it’s cool! But it’s misinformation. Just like people calling RC Remote control, it’s not a TV!!! It’s a Radio Controlled vehicle ( IE: RC aircraft ) controlled by a radio transmitter and receiver via Radio Waves.
@@RC-Flight You are correct in the scientific aspect. But to keep this hobby Fun and entertaining we must find things that do this for us and the hobby. As Nitro is a part of the Fuel it is fun to try to link this hobby to the excitement/power of the NHRA. Just trying to keep this hobby fun and entertaining. Not intending this to be Misleading.
@@dustinhiett9594 that would be awesome, I got a good deal down here in Mexico bought two one has the tail broken the other one is completly fine they even have al there servos. I paid 50 bucks for both
at 6:10, congrats, on being the owner of a model that has Fewer design flaws, than 'average'. is the wing profile symmetrical, semi-symmetrical or flat-bottomed. it looked like maybe, semi. googletranslate
