I was at church this morning and saw a guitar player do a fantastic job with creating a pad/vamp and thought, "Hey, I bet I could do something like that with my Helix."
An hour later, here we are.
There are two signal paths. The bottom one has a looper and a sub octave to allow for a nice fat pedal tone. (It also has some other pitch shifters to allow for a nice lush chord - added 5th and 9th - and for modulations.)
The top path is your "working" path. It has a particle reverb and a few different delays so you have some textural options.
The expression pedal is set to control the loop volume so you can end the loop with a nice fade-out.
The video is my first attempt to create a pad in real time. There were a couple of glitches I think I'd avoid next time by letting my top path signal die out before making fx changes.
