Thank you. I was able to fix mine with your help. Luckily, I knew from the 1st test that the problem is in push button at the front door by connecting the 2 wires.
Thank you, If I have a customer that wants or need a restore of their master station do I just call you or is there a price list? I do not get many repairs, I had a customer send you a station several years ago and you gave them a great price and did a fantastic job of restoring it, When I reinstalled it, it looked brand new. You guys do great work! Thanks
+Cary Lamari It is always best to contact us prior to send a Master Stations for repair to discuss the problems with that individual Master Station and its repair. Thanks Chris 925-743-8236 nscompany@msn,com
Are the doorbell buttons supposed to have lights? I recently bought a IM - 2003 from eBay just to mess around with it it fully works, but I hooked up a doorbell button that has a light in it and the chime module kept going off until I disconnected the button so I popped the lightbulb out the button and hooked up the button back to the chime module and it worked fine. But I would like to know if I did something wrong are doorbell buttons supposed to have a light when connected to a master station?
Hi RadioBrodacstingRecordings: Chime Modules (IA28 & IA29) like the one in your IM2003 are designed to have lighted Pushbuttons. The light must be an incandessent bulb, not a LED (remember, an led is a Diode). If your Pushbutton had a incandessent bulb, there could be a problem with the Chime Module - the IM2003 - or both - Chris
I am an electrician, I have installed many intercom systems mostly the IM 3303 with chime modules. I have seen many issues where the volume just doesn't go up to where it should and I have adjusted the master system with the volume control during installation. It is as though the amplifier just wears itself out after several years. the chimes are the first thing to lose volume also. any tricks or ideas?
+Cary Lamari The most common cause of low chime module volume is incorrect adjustments of the "system volume" and the volume setting of the remote stations. Starting with all of the remote stations volumes set to Maximum (including the volume control on the Master Station) set the "System Volume" (behind the lower right-hand door) to set the radio to a comfortable level. Now ring the ring to see where its volume is and if it's loud enough (or too loud). If the chime volume is still too low (or too high) use the volume adjustment on the chime module itself (it is not preset from the factory) I do have a Video that shows how to adjust the volume on the chime module: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-TqPN2UsLmv4.html I hope this helps Chris PS. The amplifier do not typically wear out over time unless they have been grossly misadjusted for decades. It it the system adjustments that slowly become out of adjustment with use from the owners of the system
